Honestly they just need to get back to the basics. I'm glad they announced next Cod will be boots on the ground. I love MWR. It's Cod4 with modern graphics. I feel like all they need to do is build off MWR a little bit. Some of the game is dated, but all in all you can't lose if you're making a game off the structure of the greatest Cod ever made , and that is Cod4. The game that changed everything.

COD 2K17 1. Ranking system similar to League Play. Not the garbage ranking system like CvC in Ghosts or Arena in blops 3 2. Supply drops to only include weapon camos, character customs, taunts etc. Weapon variants should not even be considered. 3. Weapon consistency 100%, not gonna be perfect at the start of the game, but similar to blops 2 guns ex: MSMC/M8A1 etc. GUNS THAT SHOOT BULLETS NOT LASERS THAT BOUNCE OFF WALLS. 4. Firing range (best addition to the franchise in AW imo) 5. Remove any type of specialist/rigs & ban and protect. Keep it simple with everyone on a equal playing field. 6. Competitive Aspect: Stick to HP, SnD, CTF rotation (best rotation imo). Have permanent bans that higher the skill gap between casual and competitive players at the START of the game ex: blops 2 LP. 7. BOOTS TO THE FUCKING GROUND (and I prefer dolphin diving over sliding but irdc about that)
The only downside I see to a ranking system is that if it's anything like Black Ops 2 I know the salty little fucking nerds I'm beating on the other team will fry my router because they can't take a loss. And stop with the fucking supply drops. Jesus. Put COSMETICS in them. Stop making people pay actual money for items that change the gameplay and don't have a lasting monetary value. MintyHD I like supply drops in Advanced Warfare, it was something new and could be easily earned throughout games. But I felt like it shouldn't have been in Black Ops 3, nor Infinite Warfare. Black Ops 3 was a bit harder to get cryptokeys to open the shit up, Exactly paid to win. I feel like they can still have supply drops in the game, but keep it like Advanced Warfare, in which it was easy to earn supply drops during gameplay and wasn't that much paid to win.
Timothy Whitlock Just like my last post Advanced Warfare was something new and fresh, different from other CoDs and was unique. It wasn't bad, at least it had all the stuff that people actually wanted in the game. For example, boots on the ground. Black Ops 3 ruined everything about the futuristic stuff, took the same shit and put in the game and added different characters with that dumbass power shit they had. CoD has been dying at a fast rate, I rarely hear anybody talk about the game and actually play it. This year will be its final year, it they screw this shit up again they're done. Battlefield already took them over with this battle.

Listen, As a COD lover myself, there won't be the " basics ", that community is gone, one thing about Call of duty is that the real OG's on this game made it fun, now COD is targeting a younger audience, it's less mature and more arcade friendly. I'm not saying Call of duty is ruined, I'm saying that just because they bring back another Bo1 or Mw2, it's not going to save the game, We already saw how that went for MWR, Complete vanilla game, and it didn't get the attention it wanted, so they added in more arcade and grindy features. I %100 agree with Nade in bringing back a ranking system such as Bo2, AW, etc. It gave it a reason to grind, the worse part about that is, the community got their hands on booters, Everytime I loaded into a match on bo2 I would get hit offline cause a kid wanted a easy win, which I hope that would be fixed. Also, They need to make a new title, instead of extending a series, which are all broken now, make something new. Releasing a fresh new title with a new story line would be ground breaking for COD. Now here is what needs to happen, I hope we see custom/community maps, gamemodes, etc. Such as Gmod, Minecraft, and GTA, those games have ran that system for ages and those games still sit almost the same value as when the game came out, but what would need to happen is that you would need to be able to rank up, and create a fair system, which should be left up to them to figure that out. This next call of duty should be there last, instead of releasing new games year after year, they should include updates monthly, and let the community take over. Games like LOL, CSGO, DOTA, etc have been out for ages, and its actually helpful in the pro community to allow the pro players to master the game, because year after year there is more games, different maps, game modes, guns, etc, and it's just not allowing players to really get great at the game. Thats all I really have to say, I hope this game doesn't fail, and hopefully this game is the future of reviving all CODs.

Totally agree with going back to more "simple" versions of the game. Although specialists can be fun at times, I can't tell you how many times I've been killed by someone who finally got their specialist ability, EVEN THO they might be going double negative or more, and just instant kills me. Feels like I have NO control over a huge portion of the gunfights in newer CoDs...

There are 5 simple reasons why BO2 was the greatest CoD of all time. 1. There was no overpowered annoying bullshit perks. No last stand, No Juggernaut, no last stand with C4. You had to give something up to use C4 for fucks sake. Noob tubes weren't insanely OP. There were no jetpacks. There was a huge variety of game lists. 2. The Guns were decently balanced. 3. The killstreaks were awesome and worth running high killstreaks. AND you had the CHOICE of Killstreaks. 4. Ranked Play was Introduced and was widely successful and fun. 5. The maps were phenomenal. HOWEVER, this being said. DO NOT REMASTER a Call Of Duty that is 5 years old. Bring these Aspects into a new call of duty. I don't want to play a game I've already played for years AGAIN.

Nades first point is so true 1 year ago I my friend invited me to play CSGO we started some comp matches and I joined his lobby he was GN2 I was unranked (this is before the rank difference block) and I was mid table and I was so happy as it was my first game and my friend said yeah but you will be silver for ages. From that point on for the the next year I grinded the game to try rank up my friend stopped playing csgo 7 months ago we played a game tonight and he was so shocked I was now a higher rank than him but the only reason I stuck with the game was the ranking system
Gary McWilliams Ya I'm a little similar except different game. I played a good amount of IW (10th prestige and some GBs) but it got increasingly harder to find pub matches and the fact that private matches have 10 tick servers make GBs unplayable(and the fact I'm on Xbox probably has less cod players now) I recently got back into playing halo as I haven't played since reach and the ranking system in halo 5 makes the game extremely replayable and also the servers have much higher tick rates where I barely ever feel like I've been shot behind a wall or super laggy.
You still have to remember this is Sledgehammer making this game. Any Cod that sledgehammer has touched so far has been complete trash.. (MW3 and Advanced Warfare)
I honestly really enjoy competitive Infinite Warfare. However, pubs are far beyond bad in this game. I cannot have any fun playing it. They don't even have league play in it! On the competitive side they keep f*cking up the meta when it was as good as it was going to get, and although I enjoy this game I agree with the majority that this is one of the worst CODS made! They say they don't focus too hard on the competitive side because that side is the minority, and although true, if the competitive side likes it, that means everything is balanced very well, and thus the general public (majority) would like it and stop bashing on it. smh.

BO2 was the best call of duty ever made. I don't think they could ever make a better call of duty. Literally all they have to do is upgrade the graphics of bo2 and add new maps, keep everything the same update the sounds and add skins and a marketplace which can be turned into real money. Been playing since CoD 1 and I must say that CoD is shit now, not only because of jetpacks, supply drops,... but the game just doesnt make any fucking sense anymore. I've been wanting a ranking system for so long now, why? Because everybody can get max prestige now even if you have a 0.02 k/d, it just depends on how much and long you play and it's nothing special. Ranking system will also mean that people will actually use their headset to give shotcalls and not just to say that they fucked my mom. There will also be more teams because of ranked, look at CS:GO, LoL,... If you go on CSGO / LoL Teamfinder you'll see tons of team / player posts. I don't think jetpacks are ruining the game, they can be applied in CoD, but the way the devs apply them and how the game plays is horrible. AND CLEARLY THE COMMUNITY DOESNT WANT JETPACKS SO DONT PUT THEM IN THE GAME... Maybe they should listen to the community, then their game would be good, but now it's just one big fail. Also, I switched to PC gaming a couple years ago and I love it. But CoD on PC is fucking dead, IW has 500 players currently playing on PC version, why??? Because the game is unfinished, mouse lag,.... And the player rate on PC (CoD) is already fucking low and now they think it's a good idea to split Steam and Windows players? Sucks that I can't play a game anymore that I played since it got released, if me and thousands of others didn't buy their first games, there was no IW and all these other cods Sad that they only care about the money now, they can have bad sales but will still make millions because of supply drops. I'm with you Matt. There were two games I played more than any others. I've been playing since 2007 and I put more hours into Black Ops 2 (when I started watching you and the other guys of Optic) and Ghosts. Black ops 2 was addicting and fueled eSports due to the nature of League Play. It was an eSports with a ranking system that made you feel like a lord and also was competitive due to eSport rules. I continued to play League Play up until they stopped doing seasons. Ghosts I played due to Clan Wars and it's competitiveness. It was entertaining and allowed people with large groups of friends to get together and binge for short periods of time to get the most points in their tier. Pretty fucking awesome. I just lost motivation to max prestige when I realized it didn't actually say you were good at the game just that you played a lot. Prestiging happens naturally when the game is good but it isn't a motivator in itself to continue playing. They need to recreate league play. Period. AW's version of it was terrible.
AMEN!!! We need a ranking system! It'd promote objective play tremendously! I've never liked how Call of Duty didn't have one, it causes the game to get bland quick since prestige doesn't take much skill, but just time.

That's a really good point too! Funny because I've been really getting into rocket league lately with my friends and it's essentially two things that make me want to play: trying to move up the ranks with my friends and when we're done playing for the night we still spend like 30 minutes trying to bargain and trade with one another lol it's really fun and something like that would be great in COD. Call of Duty needs to do crate systems like rocket league and H1Z1 where you earn the crate by playing and then you can just use money to buy it. COD is way too money hungry for that so idk of we'll see it

1. Ranking system similar to League Play. Not the garbage ranking system like CvC in Ghosts or Arena in blops 3
2. Supply drops to only include weapon camos, character customs, taunts etc. Weapon variants should not even be considered.
3. Weapon consistency 100%, not gonna be perfect at the start of the game, but similar to blops 2 guns ex: MSMC/M8A1 etc. GUNS THAT SHOOT BULLETS NOT LASERS THAT BOUNCE OFF WALLS.
4. Firing range (best addition to the franchise in AW imo)
5. Remove any type of specialist/rigs & ban and protect. Keep it simple with everyone on a equal playing field.
6. Competitive Aspect: Stick to HP, SnD, CTF rotation (best rotation imo). Have permanent bans that higher the skill gap between casual and competitive players at the START of the game ex: blops 2 LP.
7. BOOTS TO THE FUCKING GROUND (and I prefer dolphin diving over sliding but irdc about that)

Timothy Whitlock Just like my last post Advanced Warfare was something new and fresh, different from other CoDs and was unique. It wasn't bad, at least it had all the stuff that people actually wanted in the game. For example, boots on the ground. Black Ops 3 ruined everything about the futuristic stuff, took the same shit and put in the game and added different characters with that dumbass power shit they had. CoD has been dying at a fast rate, I rarely hear anybody talk about the game and actually play it. This year will be its final year, it they screw this shit up again they're done. Battlefield already took them over with this battle.

Listen, As a COD lover myself, there won't be the " basics ", that community is gone, one thing about Call of duty is that the real OG's on this game made it fun, now COD is targeting a younger audience, it's less mature and more arcade friendly. I'm not saying Call of duty is ruined, I'm saying that just because they bring back another Bo1 or Mw2, it's not going to save the game, We already saw how that went for MWR, Complete vanilla game, and it didn't get the attention it wanted, so they added in more arcade and grindy features. I %100 agree with Nade in bringing back a ranking system such as Bo2, AW, etc. It gave it a reason to grind, the worse part about that is, the community got their hands on booters, Everytime I loaded into a match on bo2 I would get hit offline cause a kid wanted a easy win, which I hope that would be fixed. Also, They need to make a new title, instead of extending a series, which are all broken now, make something new. Releasing a fresh new title with a new story line would be ground breaking for COD. Now here is what needs to happen, I hope we see custom/community maps, gamemodes, etc. Such as Gmod, Minecraft, and GTA, those games have ran that system for ages and those games still sit almost the same value as when the game came out, but what would need to happen is that you would need to be able to rank up, and create a fair system, which should be left up to them to figure that out. This next call of duty should be there last, instead of releasing new games year after year, they should include updates monthly, and let the community take over. Games like LOL, CSGO, DOTA, etc have been out for ages, and its actually helpful in the pro community to allow the pro players to master the game, because year after year there is more games, different maps, game modes, guns, etc, and it's just not allowing players to really get great at the game. Thats all I really have to say, I hope this game doesn't fail, and hopefully this game is the future of reviving all CODs.

Although specialists can be fun at times, I can't tell you how many times I've been killed by someone who finally got their specialist ability, EVEN THO they might be going double negative or more, and just instant kills me. Feels like I have NO control over a huge portion of the gunfights in newer CoDs...

There are 5 simple reasons why BO2 was the greatest CoD of all time.
1. There was no overpowered annoying bullshit perks. No last stand, No Juggernaut, no last stand with C4. You had to give something up to use C4 for fucks sake. Noob tubes weren't insanely OP. There were no jetpacks. There was a huge variety of game lists.
2. The Guns were decently balanced.
3. The killstreaks were awesome and worth running high killstreaks. AND you had the CHOICE of Killstreaks.
4. Ranked Play was Introduced and was widely successful and fun.
5. The maps were phenomenal.
HOWEVER, this being said. DO NOT REMASTER a Call Of Duty that is 5 years old. Bring these Aspects into a new call of duty. I don't want to play a game I've already played for years AGAIN.

Nades first point is so true 1 year ago I my friend invited me to play CSGO we started some comp matches and I joined his lobby he was GN2 I was unranked (this is before the rank difference block) and I was mid table and I was so happy as it was my first game and my friend said yeah but you will be silver for ages. From that point on for the the next year I grinded the game to try rank up my friend stopped playing csgo 7 months ago we played a game tonight and he was so shocked I was now a higher rank than him but the only reason I stuck with the game was the ranking system

I played a good amount of IW (10th prestige and some GBs) but it got increasingly harder to find pub matches and the fact that private matches have 10 tick servers make GBs unplayable(and the fact I'm on Xbox probably has less cod players now) I recently got back into playing halo as I haven't played since reach and the ranking system in halo 5 makes the game extremely replayable and also the servers have much higher tick rates where I barely ever feel like I've been shot behind a wall or super laggy.
I can't wait for boots on the ground next year and all of these experienced pros like made resurface... gunna be epic

I honestly really enjoy competitive Infinite Warfare. However, pubs are far beyond bad in this game. I cannot have any fun playing it. They don't even have league play in it! On the competitive side they keep f*cking up the meta when it was as good as it was going to get, and although I enjoy this game I agree with the majority that this is one of the worst CODS made!
They say they don't focus too hard on the competitive side because that side is the minority, and although true, if the competitive side likes it, that means everything is balanced very well, and thus the general public (majority) would like it and stop bashing on it. smh.

Literally all they have to do is upgrade the graphics of bo2 and add new maps, keep everything the same update the sounds and add skins and a marketplace which can be turned into real money. I think your point about competitively is spot on. My friends and I played COD Advanced Warfare non stop, even though the game wasn't that fun, the ranked play was very fun and kept us playing even though we all think that the game isn't that good.

My first time ever playing competitive, was HALO 2!! One of my favorite games, bc it gave me a goal to shoot for. Level 20. Then when I got there, I wanted to get to 30. I got there. Then 40. Then the Halo ring for level 50. I obtained Level 50 in 2 game types. Team Snipes, and Team Swat!
If they make a bo2 remake they'd make a shit ton of money and Everybody would love it.

Because everybody can get max prestige now even if you have a 0.02 k/d, it just depends on how much and long you play and it's nothing special.
Ranking system will also mean that people will actually use their headset to give shotcalls and not just to say that they fucked my mom.

Are you looking for something like what Gears of War 4 does? They have a ranked-competiive playlist with GB/MLG weapon tuning then they have ranked-core playlist with its own ranked tuning, and then theirs social playlist for the new players.

My wishlist:
- stop adding weapons, that are pretty much only available if you play endless hours or invest lots of money
- make skins something you work for, not something you buy
- don't do skillbased matchmaking, I don't want to always have to sweat my ass off to have a score of 20/20

i agree with you 100% nadeshot I've been playing call of duty since 2005 and i look back at those games man like black ops 2 that was amazing soon as they added jetpacks i gave up on call of duty is it to much to ask to make call of duty like before instead of futuristic games make classic games im sure they will sell alot more hopefully call of duty watches this video and takes your advice man

I'm with you Matt. There were two games I played more than any others. I've been playing since 2007 and I put more hours into Black Ops 2 (when I started watching you and the other guys of Optic) and Ghosts. Black ops 2 was addicting and fueled eSports due to the nature of League Play. It was an eSports with a ranking system that made you feel like a lord and also was competitive due to eSport rules. I continued to play League Play up until they stopped doing seasons. Ghosts I played due to Clan Wars and it's competitiveness. It was entertaining and allowed people with large groups of friends to get together and binge for short periods of time to get the most points in their tier. Pretty fucking awesome. I just lost motivation to max prestige when I realized it didn't actually say you were good at the game just that you played a lot. Prestiging happens naturally when the game is good but it isn't a motivator in itself to continue playing. They need to recreate league play. Period. AW's version of it was terrible.

AMEN!!! We need a ranking system! It'd promote objective play tremendously! I've never liked how Call of Duty didn't have one, it causes the game to get bland quick since prestige doesn't take much skill, but just time.

if we are getting a bunch to be getting a bunch of cosmetics in cod 2017 I want trading to be implemented into the game but there's gotta be a trading system like rocket league e.g you come across a guy with something that is very rare you want that n he wants what yu have you guys can trade it would be something that keeps some 1 playing and working towards
That's a really good point too! Funny because I've been really getting into rocket league lately with my friends and it's essentially two things that make me want to play: trying to move up the ranks with my friends and when we're done playing for the night we still spend like 30 minutes trying to bargain and trade with one another lol it's really fun and something like that would be great in COD. Call of Duty needs to do crate systems like rocket league and H1Z1 where you earn the crate by playing and then you can just use money to buy it. COD is way too money hungry for that so idk of we'll see it
