I ripened it in Oregon in 2021. Mine were more of a red interior color. It tasted like strawberry/peach to me. Interesting how they ripen differently depending on where they are grown.
Yeah, I suspect that the AZ summer heat ripens figs so quickly that they don't have time to develop colors as well. I'll even have figs off the same tree ripen differently depending on the weather. Both the interiors and exteriors can look different. For example, Black Mission ripens amber in July to red in October.
Thanks! It gets sun about till about 2-3 pm. In the summer I water daily. I feed with liquid fertilizer, but it’s not on a regular schedule (maybe once every 4-6 weeks).

are you using bamboo stakes or some other kind? where did you get them?
The stakes are plastic from the outside, but likely have some metal in them. I got them at Home Depot.
