Good morning:. I recently bought a stereo microscope with simultaneous focussing trinocular zoom for use in electronics, but I have never used a microscope of this type or any other. Whilst using it, I came across a situation that I don't understand why it happens. Here's the thing: whenever I try to see an object through the eyepieces, I can only see clearly if my eyes are slightly away from the eyepieces and not completely touching them. When I put my eyes completely against the eyepieces, I can't see the object and everything goes dark. Could you tell me if this could be a defect in the microscope or why it happens? Is there a technical explanation for this? I'd find it more comfortable to work if my eyes could completely touch the eyepieces, but isn't that possible? Congratulations, your channel is excellent.
    Greetings and thanks.

Hi. We normally look thru the eyepiece atleast 0.5cm away. Dont let ur eyes come in contact with the lens. That would cause ur sweat and eyelid hairs to smudge on the lens and compromise with clarity. You can install a eye rest on the eyepieces. Its a simple rubber piece thats fitted on the eyepiece onto which you can "rest" Ur eyes at a distance.
