The secret to good and tasty pilau is just onions my dear. Use alot of onions and let them cook till brown then add your spices to the brown onions ....also brown your chicken on a pan beef adding it to your pilau pot. No veges or tomato paste...you ll love it trust you me

This was therapeutic thank you. What i would do with the chicken is shallow fry it first until golden brown, set it aside then go in with onions and stuff, then bring in chicken so nothing burns or sticks to the pot.
