That’s a really nice set up. My current combo I’m experimenting with is a: -Dps adventurer blade -Dps bushcraft hatchet -Banco Laplander saw -Vic’ spirit Multitool -Vic’ deluxe climber w/ plus scales I know it’s not a proper “Nesmuk trio” but gives a ton of utility for not a lot of weight.
The Gibson axe is an amazing little tool.....it carves and chews away wood like nobodies business, can split wood with it, featherstick with it, hammer with it, delimb trees with it, etc....and it's very easy to carry. That tool combined with a folding saw and smaller knife, you're covered for pretty much almost anything.
Love to get a JG5 but in my area they seem hard to come by. You can get all the other ESEE's but the stores don't seem to have that model of knife anymore.
Nice combo! I'm testing out different brands of ponchos currently, and the one that is coming out on top in durability is Mil Tec. They are thicker and heavier than other brands, so more weight and space, but much stronger.
I haven't tried the Helikon Tex. A little out of my price range. I did try the Act Fire, USGI Industries, and a few others in the $40 00 Price range. The Mil Tec has another layer. Feels kind of like an aquaquest Defender tarp.@@OutpourOutdoors
Great video. I truly appreciate the prayer at the end. New follower.
I always use a ridgeline because it takes stress off the tarp and grommets. Thanks for remembering our military and first responders.
