Very nice car and video. I have a 23 touring. It was used very little as well and even has the original pistons. I figured out why it was not used much when I rebuilt the engine. The reason was the camshaft gear was defective. The timing mark was off so it didn’t have as much power as it should have. I found it out when I bought a new cam gear from Macs car parts in Lockport. When the gear came I compared it to the old one and noticed the timing mark on mine was different from theirs. I called them to tell them I got a defective one and they said “son we have been selling those for 50 years and you are the first person to say they are defective”. Anyway I figured out the original was defective and when I put the replacement one in the engine ran like new 😀 Proves that they made lemons even then.

Thanks so much for sharing! We have a '26 Runabout that is driven weekly & sometimes daily as the weather permits (which in PA means when there's no salt on the road). Really appreciate the strait forward nature of your format and the information included!

    What a lovely little car.
Really enjoying your videos, found them through a random search for the Ford TT truck

Thank you for the straight forward video. You did not drift off subject like many of the Model T videos and I picked up a few more details about the late Model T's.
I own a 1923 Model TT (if I put it together) which I do not know if it would be better to restore or go with a small, late Model engine for casual driving. That's why I look at the videos as I want a better idea of what I would have to.learn to drive/operate a stock T.

Although I would have prefered to spend less time staring at the rear wheel in the beginning for 2 minutes, it is an excellent video, a pleasure to watch, beautiful scenery, a beautiful model T, thank you for making this wonderful video!!
Oh, how tall are you? You mentioned that these cars were not made for tall people, how tall are you? Thanks again.

I am about 5'9'' and can fit fine. My bigger issue is weight. It would be hard for a very large person to fit in the seats and operate the pedals.

@@MiloFarms that's what I was afraid to hear! I may be too large for a model T but I won't know til I try and sit in one. Well, thank you for taking the time to reply, I look forward to seeing your future videos!!

Great video - Thank you very much for posting. I have a question - Today I bought a 1927 4-door Model T at a farm auction in West Texas. The auction was about 12 hours away from where I live, so I had to look at still-shot pictures and bid in real time over the phone. I won the bid and as a look through the photos of the car, I see what looks like a 4-speed (or 3-speed) transmission shifter on the floorboard. You explained what that shifter was for - the 2-speed rear end. Thanks again and I hope to take my car hauler out to West Texas to pick up the Model T in a couple weeks. I spoke with the owner and he said that he drove the car up Pike's Peek twice - what a story!!

They also made what they called a Warford transmission that has a stick shifter too. That transmission mounted to the back of the ford transmission and allowed an underdrive direct drive and overdrive.

Crazy how much this looks like a 28 model A. It's like the missing link between the T and the A
