This is a great video Chilli! I have been boiling bones for my old dog, Timba, for over a year and it has made a huge difference to his gut. FYI the company Campbells who make soups (not sure if you have them in Tasmania, I am in the UK), used to use a base of bone broth in their soups when they started many years ago. Then they replaced the broth for water because the food industry got so corrupt and didn't want people being healthy any more!! Keep up the good work!!! ♥
I recently started cooking with beef tallow based off your video about tallow. I didn't render it myself so it was a bit expensive but it was totally worth it. Been a lot more conscious of my of consumption of seed oils too. It's not quite at zero yet but I'm gonna get there. If I were to make a bone broth it would be beef but is chicken or pork broth less nutritive? It's probably easier to get a hold of a lot of beef bones.
@IntenseVisuals Yesss tallow is so good! Seed oils are absolute poison. Chicken and pork are great too, just make sure that you get good chicken and pork bones... its really nutritious if you make it from regeneratively grown chicken and pork. 👌
I eat kosher and the only way I can get bones is from chickens that I cook. Where I source my kosher meat, there aren’t bones on the beef cuts they offer. They do however, sell whole chickens. Can I do this with chicken bones?
@@chillidonela Well, if you look at the study that has been done about garlic for example... they fed the dogs bucket loads of garlic, not one clover but a ton of it, then they say its bad. If you have too much of anything, it can have negative effects. I have never had an issue with my dog eating some garlic, or onion for that matter. Consider what garlic is good for. So much info out there, not enough space here to write it all :-)
@kothedarek I think you're right. Thanks for that. The whole food system is upside down, even when it comes to dogs. We are supposed to feed them highly processed kibble. Yuck. My dog doesn't know how lucky she is. She gets grass fed and finished beef and liver, pasture raised egg, and raw milk. It's how all dogs should be eating, in my opinion.
@@chillidonela My boxer never went to the vet, ate what (i fed him), was healthy and lived until he was 14. Was always active and happy till the day he passed away. Had a great life.
Thanks ❤ this is an easy recipe, I am going to try.

@samanthaparfitt5701 Oh my goodness, that's messed up. They want people to be sick because thats where the money is.

Good job explaining bone broth! I recently stocked up on chicken feet from a local farm to add to my broth.

@lauradsouza1345 Yeah, I am not too keen on it either, but for now, for us, there is no other alternative.

You know, after all the rabbit holes,🤫 I'm starting to wonder if onions and garlic are actually bad for dogs.....🤔
@kothedarek Interesting, tell me more please.
