I love your video! The others I've watched tend to try too hard to be spoiler free and thus unprepared in order to "share the experience together", which I find to be a difficult way to learn the game.
I was just working on starting a playthough of Etherfields. Your video is invaluable!!! Do you mind if I mention and link it in my playthough? Thanks for the great work Ryan!! 😃😃👍
Thanks for sharing. I think they mention in the rulebook to NOT punch that board. Thanks for pointing that out. I'm sure some might miss the comment in the rules.
Great overview of the basic rules. Just starting my gameplay, so your video helped a lot. Question - May you use a die roll when attempting to 'lock' a Progress card? I like the starting deck back benefit of the Gambler.
Yes, they are easy enough to figure out. My suggestion is to only open the packs you need. Leave the rest in shrink until you need them. Also, they cards (at least to me) were sealed up backwards. I ended up re-ordering them all as I opened each pack. Might just be me though.
Yes, I would, but I would say it definitely is not for everyone. It has an exploratory feel to it similar to Tainted Grail and 7th Continent where you are revealing map tiles and looking for content to complete on the tiles. There is a lot of reading involved in the game and a lot of flipping through the secrets book. There is also a big hand management aspect to the game, deciding how best to spend you cards because you can’t do “everything”. I personally love the exploration as the drive to flip over that next card is intriguing to me. Not a lot of “action/combat” as a lot of times you are trying to avoid the entities as supposed to confronting them. Dreams are quick though so even though it’s a big campaign game, play sessions can be short. Rule book is dense but the more you play the more it makes sense. Hope this helps.
@@TheMeepleMarathon Okay. Thank you for the response. Thoroughly enjoyed your explanation. It definitely helped ease over the confusion I had reading that darn rulebook.
You definitely could not sleeve everything and get it all back into the box. I ended up sleeving the influence cards I was using for my one solo character and as I added more cards, I sleeved them. I also sleeved (in big square sleeves) the slumber encounter cards and slumber map tiles since these were being picked up and shuffled a lot. Didn't seem necessary to sleeve the individual dream cards as you pulled those out, played through them and then they went back into the box. Using this sleeving method, I was able to keep everything in it's place.
All slumber cards are returned to their respective decks, so quirk cards get discarded to the bottom of the Fate deck. Certain fate cards will instruct you to shuffle the Fate deck.

Please do. My video is at your full disposal.
Pssst the extra masks can also go under the player boards as there is a big enough slot there. Great video mate
Never thought about that. Good call.
That's what I was about to say 😀! I realise that it fits 3 masks under the player board

Thank you for this video! It helped me better understand how to play the game.
Very well presented video and awesome tips with the storage boxes. ordered them immediately :)
Nice work! Thank you for sharing!

I believe the "luck" die can be used for any test, but I will need to confirm that to be sure.
Just got my 2nd wave copy. Are the cards easy enough to figure out storage?
Thanks for the video. Not enough people do them imo

Would you recommend this game? Thank you.

@@TheMeepleMarathon Yes thank you
Where did you put your fifth player add-on minis?
Thank you. :)
I actually only got the base game for this Kickstarter, so unfortunately I’m not much help.

I keep the fifth player box for the fifth player minis and tiles.... It's a beautiful box....
@@fairytomb but it's unnecessarily large. It could have been half the size but they just had to have it match the size of the other boxes
seems like there's no space for sleeves. :( at least I would like to sleeve influence cards. They won't last long throughout the campaign...

What happens to quirk cards when you go into a dream?
