I started watching this thinking, let's see what this tossers does.
You nailed it, and you are not a tosser. Great job. Not often do I see someone do something properly.👍👍

If you butter BOTH sides of the bread the outer part of the bread wont stick to the toaster, the inner bit of butter seals the edge of the 2 slices. Crack an egg into it and if you time it right the white will be solid while the yolk will be all runny. Great when you take a big bite and you get yellow lips as the yolk flows. ham and cheese is another good combination. But really that toaster did not need anything doing to it other than a clean on the OUTSIDE with some wire wool. The red and black handles were used as a reminder of which side you had all ready toasted. I have 2 of these that are in use every week.

Очень оригинальные выпечки получаются в таких формах. Никогда подобное не ел.
Вам - уважение за мастерство и за сохранение и восстановление старых формочек для выпекания вкусняшек.
    Привет из Сибири, Россия.

I agree. In the US the purpose was for youngsters to easily know if they had turned the pie iron over.

Hey man, remember when I said it would be a good idea to use electrolysis for the gas stove you restored, the reason I said that is that when metal has a lot of pitting it tends to have a lot of rust hidden inside the pits that can't be reached by sandblasting or acid wash. Electrolysis is the only thing that works too remove it all.

Only thing that could make this restoration better would have been a wood camp fire to cook it on. Like the finish u got from baking the oil.

Growing up I knew them as 'pudgy pies'. Still have 4 pie irons in the pantry from when we used to go camping in Wisconsin and some other places.

I do not have a sandblaster. What can I do instead to get it cleaned to the equivalent as sand blasting. My late mother bought ours probably around 1960's and I would like to restore it and enjoy those meals she made. Your advice will be appreciated. 👍👍
