- Ball lightning video, also seen by other witnesses. If you blink-you'll miss it. You may have to see the video twice...Video quality is not the best, but that sphere was glowing.

+kseries1981 It was a BALL pigeon. They're quite elusive and rare. Scientists have no explanation for them.

Looks more like an anomaly in the photographic process than a true phenomenon.
I don't believe that was ball lightning. It looks like a twig with some leaves flying by the sky.
I saw something that looked like ball lightning last night (8/13/13)...I can only describe it as if you were to look at a lightning bolt "end on". Needless to say it (along with a rumble of thunder about 3 seconds later) dissuaded me from taking a walk through my backyard garden after bringing in the garbage cans. I got back inside and took shelter in the basement for the next 30+ minutes.

I dont see the ball lighting and it seems usaly its not that quick how ever I did notice somthing slisher across the screen realy fast how fast were the winds tjat day

Researchers in China have captured, for the first time, a rare instance of ball lightning, on digital video and spectrographs.
"More importantly, the researchers were also recording with spectrographic equipment which allowed them to discern the main elements that made up the ball. They found them to be iron, silicon and calcium, the very same main ingredients in soil."

It is an unfortunate fact that 90% of Americans, and a smaller percentage of other English speakers, are compelled to exclaim "Holy shit!" when they witness, or video, some startling occurrence.
