This movie has the ability to be a game changer for humanity. Its time we ended our petty differences and unite as a species through love and mutual edification. Lets reach for the stars and explore this vast creation together! Anything that inspires the best of our hearts has my vote.
finally a director who risk making a new thing, in today standards a director makes a Disney movie a bit dark 3 or 4 movies follow with the same approach, remaking old movies but not an original story like this one. all you haters saying a typical sci fy movie and complaining for the sake of complain, well Nolan makes sci fy movies and i personally i love that genre, i hope this movie is as good as it seems, i am sure it will be a classic this movie. just like Stanley Kubric A Space Oddysey.
I've read the original script. It was MIND BLOWING. This movie is going to be, honestly, one of the best sci fi movies of the decade, maybe even, ever.
Am I the only one who sheds a tear just watching this trailer over and over again? I can only make up one word: Wow. Reminds me of how incredible and how resilient the human race has been, can be, and will be.
This is what sci-fi is supposed to be. A realistic look at where we're at, where we're going and what we have to do to fix it. Good sci-fi inspires people to think and dream. I cannot wait for this movie!
It will be one of the last films, or the last one, that is going to be shot for IMAX 70mm film since they are transitioning to purely digital IMAX next year (Star Wars is being filmed right now on film). It will have the most IMAX footage in film history (he attached one to the front of a jet). There is an ensemble of A-list actors who have either won an Oscar, or were nominated for one. An original Nolan story (he rewrote the script that his brother had a rough draft for, and is producer and director). Finally, Hans Zimmer is composing the score for the film. It's also about space. I think this has the potential to be one of the all time great films.
"Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light" - Dylan Thomas This is just epic!
To all the people who say Christopher Nolan is either overrated or that his Dark Knight Rises sucks, you're idiots. Sorry, but you are. Nolan isn't overrated because he IS a phenomenal and ground-breaking director; he adds realism to every single film he's done, never falling for or giving in to the mundane. And even if The Dark Knight Rises is far from perfect, it's still a damn good movie that's better than most blockbusters (I'd say it's more epic than The Dark Knight, but The Dark Knight is better overall). Interstellar looks to be not only his masterpiece, but one of the greatest science fiction films in history, maybe even the greatest SF epic of all time.
I think the equipments they use, including spaceships and spacesuit, are damn perfect! It's not too futuristic-y yet it gives the feel of modern space voyage.
This could be the biggest film of all time. Perfect cast and Mr. Nolan doing what he does best. Captivating a world with his vision. Cannot wait until November.
"i'm coming back"...."when"? those words seem to be a re-occurring theme for these trailers. i predict that cooper goes through a worm-hole of some sort and it will be seconds for him but back on earth for his family it will be years or even decades.
I am so ready for this phase in our species's life. This is all that is left for us to explore and this is where the future is. Every day that goes by, the more and more I want to help and be a part of this adventure. This movie connects with me on an emotional level. I cannot wait to see this.
Im excited like a little kid who is curious about a flight in a plane, how we get up and land, all this stuff, this movie reminds me of my childhood cause Ive the same feeling for it, Im so excited about this stuff on black holes and what we find after we're out of it, I trust in Nolans creativity and his sense for perfection. It will be a journey which we wont forget so easy
This movie really better deliver to top the absolute gold mine of blockbusters that has been this summer. Seriously EVERY single big budget blockbuster has been aces. Godzilla, Captain America: Winter Soldier, X Men DOFP, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Edge of Tomorrow, Guardians of the Galaxy...
When paramount, warner bros, and legendary pictures all partnered up for one film, and Nolan is the director, with Hans Zimmer as the composer, you know it's going to be good
"Do not go gentle into that good night..." It's nice to see some of Dylan's work in this movie :) I was born and still live when he was born. We're proud of our Dylan Thomas. This film looks very interesting from what I have seen so far. I have an absolute love for space. I always have. Sometimes I like to think I'm just in love with where I have come from, where we all have. I can't count the number of times I have sat on my roof just staring with wonder at the stars. It just gives me goosebumps to see how big and vast this place is and how beautiful things can be, even if they are destructive. I will definitely be going to see this in November :)
If this movie is as good as inception(which im like 99.9% sure this movie is going to be amazing) then i will tape a large picture of Chris nolans face to my living room wall and bow down to it before i go to sleep everyday before dinner.
Good to know there are still people out there who know how to make trailers that get you pumped for the movie and still don't spoil it. I wanna see this so badly right now :)
This movie is nothing like 2001: A Space Odyssey. 2001 was about the evolution of humans and A.I. through mysterious alien artifacts, with an open ended, drug inspired ending. This movie is about space explorers going through a wormhole to find new habitable planets for the human species. It's not even remotely similar.
It's similar in that humans are stepping past their previous boundaries to explore the unknown. Chrostpher Nolan said that 2001 was his inspiration for this movie
"Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, Rage against the dying of the light." God, I love that poem
I've Never Cried in a Movie trailer before this movie looks fantastic i can't wait to see it.. before Matthew McConaughey was famous he use to live near me in Australia on the Central Coast NSW i have seen him before he is such a great man he definitively deserves an Oscar.. I Love you Matthew
This movie looks really, really good. About time for a good SF space opera to come along. Can't wait to have a great time on Friday night. Have a good diner, laugh, walk along the aisles of a bookstore and then head to the theater, grab some popcorn and watch a great movie!
My prediction is that he's already gone through the wormhole and when we see him comforting his daughter, he already knows that the trip worked since it's his future double talking to her
So far...I loved every single one of his movies.....from Momento to The Dark Knight Rises....and my favorite film ever being The Dark Knight....I'm stoked for this movie, I haven't been this excited for a movie in ages (since THe Dark Knight Rises actually haha)
Confidential Music add so much to film trailers, look at Suicide Squad comic con trailer for instance. They have a real emotional vibe going on. Love the trailer.
While I thoroughly like the idea of a new Cristopher Nolan film (and I'm amazed that something this grandiose has snuck up on me), I'm not sure that casting McConaughy as lead actor is going to cut it. I hope to be proven wrong and for this to be the director's redemption following The Dark Knight Rises.
McConaughey stole the show in True Detective. I gained a whole new respect for him after watching that. I think this will be good. Nolan is a pretty good writer/ director.
The music just keeps making me come back to this amazing trailer! I seriously can not wait for this release! The trailer is nothing short but amazing in IMAX shown during Guardians of the Galaxy
Movie of the decade.
this is THE best trailer I have ever seen
"Love is the only thing that transcends time and space." I love how they incorporated something human into hard science.
This movie has the ability to be a game changer for humanity. Its time we ended our petty differences and unite as a species through love and mutual edification. Lets reach for the stars and explore this vast creation together! Anything that inspires the best of our hearts has my vote.
I will honestly pay to watch anything Nolan.
finally a director who risk making a new thing, in today standards a director makes a Disney movie a bit dark 3 or 4 movies follow with the same approach, remaking old movies but not an original story like this one. all you haters saying a typical sci fy movie and complaining for the sake of complain, well Nolan makes sci fy movies and i personally i love that genre, i hope this movie is as good as it seems, i am sure it will be a classic this movie. just like Stanley Kubric A Space Oddysey.
As a physics major, this is incredible.
I've read the original script. It was MIND BLOWING. This movie is going to be, honestly, one of the best sci fi movies of the decade, maybe even, ever.
Thats awesome...Where did you read it tho?
Where can i read it?
PLEASE be the 2001: A Space Odyssey of our generation. Please.
Am I the only one who sheds a tear just watching this trailer over and over again? I can only make up one word: Wow. Reminds me of how incredible and how resilient the human race has been, can be, and will be.
this is gonna be the best film of 2014
You wanna know why Nolan is awesome ? Because even though it's his birthday, he's the one giving us a beautiful present.
At 1:14 I had tears in my eyes when the music kicked in. I am man enough to admit it. This is going to be AMAZING.
This is what sci-fi is supposed to be. A realistic look at where we're at, where we're going and what we have to do to fix it. Good sci-fi inspires people to think and dream. I cannot wait for this movie!

I'm blown away by this trailer, its so powerful!
"Rage, rage before the dying of the light." The last time I got chills like that was watching LOTR for the first time
"Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light" - Dylan Thomas
This is just epic!

Matt's gaze at 2:07 when he says "We'll find a way, we always have", just levels you. And you trust him when he says it.
This movie changed my perspective about the Universe, Physics and Space Sciences!
Have a very big hope for this film....if it's great as i believe, this film is gonna be one of the best sci-fic movie of the decade.
Dat black hole at the end, I was dumbstruck and in awe, just watch and appreciate in all its destructive glory.
I think the equipments they use, including spaceships and spacesuit, are damn perfect! It's not too futuristic-y yet it gives the feel of modern space voyage.
I agree, so many sci-fi films get it wrong, showing some advanced crazy technology that's supposedly here in only a few years, or 10-40.
I can drop tears only by seeing this trailer...

My God, this movie looks so AWESOME!!!!!
I am so ready for this phase in our species's life. This is all that is left for us to explore and this is where the future is. Every day that goes by, the more and more I want to help and be a part of this adventure. This movie connects with me on an emotional level. I cannot wait to see this.
must see on IMAX

Wow, looks like an amazing film. I've always looked forward to emotionally filled scifis!
Beautiful. Nolan's a master. McConaughey is on fire.
awesome trailer! despite the extremely cheesy quote ''love is the only thing that transcends time and space'' i mean cmon
"Love is the one thing that transcends time and space"
somebody quickly help me find a way to time travel to november!
"Open the pod bay doors, HAL."
no.
I don't know why this movie reminds of me The Abyss. A masterpiece under water and this looks like a masterpiece in space.
With all those beautiful scenes it is a must see in IMAX.
GUYS GUYS. any of u noticed this soundtrack? it's freaking epic, who composed it?
This movie really better deliver to top the absolute gold mine of blockbusters that has been this summer. Seriously EVERY single big budget blockbuster has been aces. Godzilla, Captain America: Winter Soldier, X Men DOFP, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Edge of Tomorrow, Guardians of the Galaxy...
Movie of the century I am sold :D
My hype for this just went up immensely.....
christoper nolan and hans zimmer is extraordinary combination of performance.
When paramount, warner bros, and legendary pictures all partnered up for one film, and Nolan is the director, with Hans Zimmer as the composer, you know it's going to be good
Christopher Nolan… You are forgiven for Dark Knight Rises
Christopher Nolan...name is just enough
Probably the best sci-fi movie I have ever seen!
"Do not go gentle into that good night..." It's nice to see some of Dylan's work in this movie :) I was born and still live when he was born. We're proud of our Dylan Thomas.

IMAX is far better than 3D, thanks to Nolan for understanding that seriously :)
What about IMAX 3D?
only kids stick to 3D,which nolan wouldn't worry about :P
This movie is nothing like 2001: A Space Odyssey. 2001 was about the evolution of humans and A.I. through mysterious alien artifacts, with an open ended, drug inspired ending. This movie is about space explorers going through a wormhole to find new habitable planets for the human species. It's not even remotely similar.
i agree, its not really like 2001. its more like Star Trek.
It's similar in that humans are stepping past their previous boundaries to explore the unknown. Chrostpher Nolan said that 2001 was his inspiration for this movie
that ending shot looked like a Mass Relay, epic
Three trailers I have seen for this movie and I still know next to nothing about it! I honestly cannot wait to see this movie!
Anyone here for the poem "Do not go gentle into that goodnight?"
Cinematically, it could be the next Gravity. It looks beautiful. :D
I am ready to cry for 2.5 hours in this.
I will be the happiest person in the universe.
We will find a way.....we always have.
"love is the one thing that transcends time and space."
we love you Nolan !!!
ok whats with the water world and giant stationary water wave...with the metal tetris piece coming at them?!!?
Nolan+Sci-fi+Interstellar travel= Yes please.
BRILLIANT MOVIE. IMAGINATIVE SCENARIO!!!
"Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, Rage against the dying of the light." God, I love that poem
reminds me of sunshine
Nolan+McConaughey=masterpiece
One small step for Film, one Giant Leap for SciFi...
'I'm coming back..!!! When???'
That's what the movie is about.Classic Nolan.
This movie will be about black holes and time travel!
Chris Nolan + Hans Zimmer + space story idea = my next must see movie of 2014. The chills were real in the movie theatre when I saw this.
Just looking at this trailer, you know McConaughey is gonna get an oscar nom once again, and so will that little girl playing Murphy!!!
And Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain is the grown up Murphy; I guess Matthew would be gone for many years, 15-20 maybe. :)
Dude is a master filmmaker. He's always thinking on such a different level than everyone else.
I hope the next 3 months go by REAL fast.
I've Never Cried in a Movie trailer before this movie looks fantastic i can't wait to see it.. before Matthew McConaughey was famous he use to live near me in Australia on the Central Coast NSW i have seen him before he is such a great man he definitively deserves an Oscar.. I Love you Matthew
director: Christopher Nolan; compositer: Hans Zimmer and Matthew McConaughey in the first role ? What more ^^
"Do Not go gentle into that good night" - Dylan Thomas' poem
I love it when Michael Caine recited that in the trailer
Ridley Scott please step aside......... The best film of the decade is coming
Possibly the best trailer I have ever watched, to be fair Hans Zimmer rocks my world...
And here is the winner of the best movie in 2014.
This is MASTERPIECE !
This is going to be Huge!
This movie looks really, really good. About time for a good SF space opera to come along. Can't wait to have a great time on Friday night. Have a good diner, laugh, walk along the aisles of a bookstore and then head to the theater, grab some popcorn and watch a great movie!
If anyone thinks no film like this has been done since 2001 go see Tree of Life by Terrence Malick. I hope interstellar is amazing.
My prediction is that he's already gone through the wormhole and when we see him comforting his daughter, he already knows that the trip worked since it's his future double talking to her
Armaggedon 2.0? Wow Hollywood is seriously running out of ideas
Sir Michael Caine + Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night = perfection.
Definitely seeing this movie! Looks like it has a great storyline!
Finally a trailer that doesn' give away the whole movie.
Thumbs up for the Dylan Thomas poem. :D
Well that's how a movie trailer should be done.
Exciting, confusing, and doesn't actually give away 90% of the movie.
I predict Oscar for McConaughey and Nolan
So far...I loved every single one of his movies.....from Momento to The Dark Knight Rises....and my favorite film ever being The Dark Knight....I'm stoked for this movie, I haven't been this excited for a movie in ages (since THe Dark Knight Rises actually haha)
Confidential Music add so much to film trailers, look at Suicide Squad comic con trailer for instance. They have a real emotional vibe going on. Love the trailer.
"Do not go gentle into that good night. Old age should burn and rave at close of day. Rage rage against the dying of the night"
space travel with alfred, batman, and catwoman...
These interstellar trailers are full of awesome quotes
While I thoroughly like the idea of a new Cristopher Nolan film (and I'm amazed that something this grandiose has snuck up on me), I'm not sure that casting McConaughy as lead actor is going to cut it. I hope to be proven wrong and for this to be the director's redemption following The Dark Knight Rises.
Can't stand McConaughey, but he was actually awesome in the Dallas byers club, so I'm a little optimistic for this movie.
This looks like Nolan's take on Stargate Universe
Hm. Now that's something I'd give all the money to see...
This looks like a new, gentler side of Nolan, more interested in character and emotions; I wish this movie great success and I'm anxious to watch it.
