Holy crap that truck is gorgeous. The folks at Dodge put their thinking caps on with all those features. I like those bed storage bins be a nice spot to store stuff out of sight.
i have a 2002 dodge 1500 and there super solid trucks. i bought mine new in june of 2002 and still drive it daily. im gonna be honest, your new cummins probably will give a few issues but the amount of technology integrated into it is why. i would keep the old one around as a shop truck. they are going up in value every day. as for the 6.7, you should look into deleting all the emissions. you will gain mpg, power and reliability. the emissions is what is killing these engines.
Beautiful truck. Ive had my 2015 3500 for a little over a year. love the truck couldn't be happier 35,000 on it already. Hasn't been to the dealer for anything more than the free oil changes they gave me when i bought it. I ended up going with a 6 speed in mine just couldn't bring myself to switching to an auto. but have heard all good things regarding the upgraded auto. I regret not getting the air suspension was new when i was looking at trucks and it made me leery of it. wouldn't mind an update regarding it after you have hauled on it for a while. Best of luck with the new truck!
nice nice looking truck looks great. that 6.7 is a great engine we have one at work with a out 15,000 hrs and only had to replace the turbo once i think. they run 24/7
Nice truck! I've always loved them even when the trucks dodge put them were crap. I remember when I seen a 1984 ford f-150 with a naturally aspirated 6 cylinder cummings back in 1984 at the Ag Expo in Moultrie Georgia at the cummings booth. Me and my dad both said whoever starts putting them into trucks from the factory is going to make a killing.
On my '13 I have the ram boxes as well.. I didn't think I would like them but I LOVE them! One thing I noticed quickly on my truck and I see they haven't changed it is the chrome trim ring around the center concsole is horrible for glare! I have read where people actually have covered them with tape or even paint to not get the glare anymore. I really only have petty complaints on it if any.
Been wanting to get a ram 2500 like your 2003. Not long after I got my F150 I was like dang I should have researched more about diesels. Hopefully in the next two years I can get one or soon after I get out of college. I just love that body style truck, how long they can last, and how they compare to my f150 (I average around 14.5 no matter what I do unless I am strictly on the highway. I figured it up that I'd save at least $5-10 per half the tank on my F150. I know the maintenance is higher, but I will do the basic maintenance myself.)
Man, what a cool video. I like the drone footage at the end. You gotta keep your old truck, she's your girl. New ones a beast too. Loving the older videos and trying to catch up on some since I'm new here. Take care brother stay safe
@cotontop3 Cool video man I'm from Lucedale Mississippi. I'm a powerstroke guy myself still running my 03 7.3 diesel . They don't make em like they used to man but those are some fine rigs ya got
Any chance you will have time to do another complete review on your new 3500 now that you have had it for awhile? I am really contemplating trading in my 2500 cummins for a 3500. Would love to hear what you think about the Aisin Trans too!
nice truck..I just got a new fordF-350…i think i will be taken out the DEF and AGR cooler down the road..You got that right my truck is my office ,I spend a lot of time in my truck for sure.
Nice Ride Bud . I Too gotta Agree & say the 5.9 6B Cummins is hard to beat in any application they put em in . We had 5.9 in an 850G Case Dozer & The little brother to 6B 5.9 The 3.9 4B Cummins in a TD7G Dresser dozer . Both Good engines . Let us know how the 6.7 does for you . i'm curious to know how they hold up .
I was always a GM guy, until I bought a new 07 Impala LTZ. What a piece of junk!! I have a 05 Dodge 2500 and it has been bulletproof!! It was also my first Dodge. I would love to replace it, but just cant swing it right now. My 05 still has a lot of life in it though. All the best, really nice pickup.
Sounds like you need to do some Deer hunting to thin them out a tad. Cummins are top flight This video shows how much bigger the new truck is Manufacturers have been making them bigger to justify raising prices.
I see you have the air bags with the leaf springs. How does your 3500 ride without a load on the back? And have you ever driven/rode in a 2500 with the coils? If so, is it on-par?
I haven't hauled or pulled anything heavy yet. I have drove a new 2500 and it rides good. My new 3500 rides good empty and should ride even better once I get more stuff in it. The new 3500 is a larger truck than my old one and doesn't turn as sharp as my 02. I like it but I've had to get use to it too.
+Ken L. It's about the same if not a tad better ride. The biggest thing about the bags is, they adjust as u add weight to keep the rear of the truck where it's supposed to be.
I'm from Ohio(another confused Yankee lol) an I've never been able to understand you guys in the south need a big tank of fuel to haul around . Ok I get it if your using it to fill your machinery but if it's just so you can drive a long way from home an have fuel to get back I'm confused cause there's gas statins everywhere . An nice big truck stops that are cool to check out . I was gonna buy a truck from a guy in the south one time all he could talk about was how far it would go on a 100 gallon tank in the bed Man that was the last thing on my mind heck you couldn't fit a bale of hay in it .Hope you get 400.K out of this one . Maybe as time goes on you count post a 100K update ?
+troy skeese we buy our fuel 8,000 gallons at a time bulk and get it a lot cheaper than you buy it at the pump and I am also constantly fueling machines too.
When your warranty runs out do the DPF and DEF delete then get you the Mini Max tuner to prevent the check engine light from coming on. You will increase your MPG and HP. Check out my TH-cam channel called James Triplett to see my 1998 5.9 12V cummins. Love the cummins! I am Loving your video's keep em coming!!

I live in the rust belt in pa ! It's really hard on vehicles. Happy to get ten years on a pickup frame at about 150.000 miles
I'd keep the old dodge around. Those pre emission diesels are good as gold still
gta love the 6spd manual plenty of power/torque and dnt have the problems of the 03 auto trans love the videos keep it safe keep it rolling

Great video, I'm a huge dodge fan, I've got a 05 ram & never had any major problems, just need to get my center console repaired lol
Great video, thanks for sharing it with us,very nice trucks!!
When ever I see those ram boxes I'm so jealous. I wish I got my 2016 with them. They look better in my opinion to.
On my '13 I have the ram boxes as well.. I didn't think I would like them but I LOVE them! Nice truck. I sure do want that one! I'll keep my 05 2500 a little longer
Just found your channel, cool stuff !!!
Thank you!

+Mow America thank you. Lots of videos to go through if you work through em all. I have 2 other viewers going through them all right now.
They get better and better. Love what you do. Always wanted to get into the logging business
I wish we could get these in the uk! Nice!
I found this video after I have watched all the other videos where you had all the problems with it. Sucks having to deal with that on a new vehicle.
Sharp truck! I really enjoyed this video, too. Thanks for sharing.
+Shane Gillespie thanks I wasn't sure how it would be liked or not.

Very nice truck, you should keep the old truck for a farm truck/beat around truck so you don't get the new one messed up.
What's the point having a truck if you don't use it for what it's intended for
the 03 model still has more miles in it than the new one.
nice truck..I just got a new fordF-350…i think i will be taken out the DEF and AGR cooler down the road..You got that right my truck is my office ,I spend a lot of time in my truck for sure.
That frame on that 02 looks like new! No salt roads there Tim?
Sweet truck, always nice to see your hard work pay off ain't it?
I got the 2007 2500 maga cab and I love it
Cool truck for a cool guy.

Nice truck! I will not fault you for being a Dodge fan lol.
+Mark Leonard thank you
nice looking truck
Very nice truck man.
Good thing about ur 03 is its got a straight Axel in the front...i rather have a straight axel front compared to an independant
Sweet truck! I'm jealous lol
need to have a video of the truck towing
Hey bud enjoying the videos
Nice truck man!
Badass truck
Next set of ball joints go with Dynatrac. You won't be replacing them anytime soon.
WOW YOU ARE A REAL DEER KILLER WITH THAT TRUCK
Nice grass !
What do you think of the ram boxes on the bed? Do you feel like you have lost overall room in the bed for tools, wood, etc? Thanks in advance!
For the most part, I like them but sometimes I wish I had that space above the wheels like a normal bed.
I bet this thing is a monster
Thats What i like about your videos Tim never know What you Gonna See lol.You Cant Go Wrong with Cummings.Keep up the great Videos.
+Brent Frierson I think variety is huge for my channel. Thanks for watching and commenting!
cummins?
that's a nice truck

+Ken L. It's about the same if not a tad better ride. The biggest thing about the bags is, they adjust as u add weight to keep the rear of the truck where it's supposed to be.
Awesome. Thanks!
I wish New York trucks would last like that ;(
HOW MUTCH DID IT COST?????
The old girl don't owe you a lot, in Europe that type of mileage would see most of the trucks left on road sides, the new one looks the "muts nuts".
You can tell you don't live in the rust belt. LOL
Okay. Ram made in Mexico. Am I correct?
How come you didn't order you 2016 with the 6 speed manual?
+Leonard Walker because I've been shifting gears in my old truck for 14 years and I didn't want to do that anymore.
Ah :)
How do the 2 of them compare, when pulling, The auto vs manual?
+Leonard Walker I've pulled with it but nothing really heavy yet. When I do load it heavy, I'm gonna film it.
cool, how does in 4x4 compare to the stick?
Hate to say it but you won't get the mpg out of that new one that you get out of the old one
Phillip needs a truck!
Id keep driving the old one
Cummins all the way. Now time to get rid of the emissions on the new one. Lol

0:52 well it is a dodge RAM
mopar or no car
Dodge makes it and Cummins shakes it.
If you had that truck up north in salt you would not get 14years out of a truck
No Def delete it
