*Who loves short, shorts?* I conceal carry an M&P 2.0 Compact 4” barrel in 9mm almost all year round. The key, mentioned in this video, is a good belt and a good holster. Wings and wedges on the holster help a ton. I do also switch to my M&P Plus in 9mm and my Shield 2.0 in .40 from time to time for times when I really need to have a slim profile. But not due to weather. If you are someone who switches at least do it with a similar gun or brand. Like I do or Glock 19 and Glock 43x. They are similar guns so you won’t need to retrain as much. Very different then going from a Glock 19 to a Plus where grip angles are different, triggers, etc. or a smaller gun like a LCP etc. End of the day just train with what you got on you. Better than it staying home. EDIT: Cheaper to buy a new better holster and belt than a new gun.
Exactly why I have the shield plus and the m&p compact! The rare occasion I do carry the compact, theres not a big training curve i have to account for like if i went from the shield plus to say a 2011 or DA/SA gun with a safety. Thanks for watching!
I carry the p365 line all with Wilson combat grips and I train with all of them because they have the same angle and feel. I also have the kore essential belt which is amazing. I have the vedder holster for appendix carry. I will be trying the tier1 side car holster to try that out. That’s so funny you mentioned this holster as I pressed the send button
I am 5’9 and 170lbs I carry a Glock 17 with x300t and acro p2 and spare mag with +5 base plate year around in appendix and sometime on my hip very rare tho but with summer coming up nothing changes besides wearing an undershirt is key and having a solid belt l run a kore essentials belt and just wearing the right size clothes note tho I do wear long pants almost all year around due to the work I do but I can do the exact same in shorts
I'm wearing jeans like 90% of the time so shorts are strictly for the days where i'll be mostly outside. sounds like a good carry! thanks for watching!
i have the T1C belt (Kore) that i wear even if i dont have belt loops. it still fits around my waist and secures my holster well. you can do this in athletic shorts/sweat pants with draws strings
I find myself in gym attire a lot, so i tend to run ulticlips on all of my holsters. It removes the need for belts and secures the holsters extremely well. And i transition my carry guns based around attire. But i do so between the guns im most comfortable and accurate with.
A good quality undershirt is mandatory for me. I wear one daily no matter the temp. I have a shield plus. But I still carry an fns9c most of the time cuz I have so much trust in it. 10k+ rounds, not one issue, many classes and my most carried gun.
I was a gang task force officer in St. Louis. Be careful out there. I moved home to Kentucky. Lots of drugs and lots of violence. Good setup. And good call carrying an extra mag in St. Louis. Checkout an incident in Forest Park by a cop where he shot 4 who mugged and attacked him and his gf.
There's definitely dangerous areas but we stay in a good neighborhood with good situational awareness and we try not to put ourselves in compromising positions. Thanks for checking it out!
Arrowhead Tactical you said. I am a personal trainer and I wear sweats/joggers year round. My edc is a Staccato P with a stream light and Aimpoint Acro
Hell of an EDC! i want a staccato eventually and im pretty sure its gonna come down to the P and C! Depends on if i want to carry it or just dedicated competition pistol. Thanks for checking the video out! My brothers a personal trainer and i just started his program💪🏾
Tbh its all personal preference. Theyre both great guns it's about what youre comfortable with and what you shoot better. My personal opinion is the sig 365xl but the hellcat is great value for money. I just shot the sig better
My carry edc is a g3c and I just wear a regular belt under my drawstring shorts and I clip the holster to the belt and the shorts and I have no problems at all. The belt keeps everything where it needs to be and nothing moves around.
I would to see how you go about carrying in formal/ semi formal clothing. I’ve been to several “fancy” events and had to leave my ccw in my car or somewhere else that’s relatively near by. Feels like I’m naked and super vulnerable…
I carry the 365 every day, regardless of the season. Different guns in different spots makes it harder to develop muscle memory. The more consistent your carry method, the more efficient you will be when things go wrong.
@@marcusedcofficial Glock 19 with holosun optic and tlr7a appendix tier 1 and shield plus with an appendix holster spare pocket mag (neomag) holosun I try to keep it lighter in the summer
I think in some areas people want a large frame to grab through heavy layers so I can see having more than one EDC. This means we just get to buy more guns. 😂
Its actually pretty commin for people who carry appendix! I dont do it all the time but especially with the groove belt it works great! Thanks for watching.
How do you deal with wind. Wind has been my biggest enemy. I’m always walking against the wind and it pushes my shirt in making the perfect outline of my firearm. No matter what I’ve tried. I can only conceal well in a hoodie.
yeah when it's that windy i kinda just deal with it since most people are also trying to deal with the same wind between carrying bags, having long hair, keeping your hat on etc. if i have to deal with the wind against my shirt then other people are dealing with the wind as well. unless I'm walking straight into it it's not a problem. not too many super windy days in the summer around here.
Question specifically about the groove belt, do you find that it's easy to make small adjustments on the fly when wearing your gun? Their main selling point is "set your perfect length and then never touch it again" but I want to be able to make small tightenings and loosening if needed throughout the day. Any experience with that?
It is absolutely NOT good for making small adjustments throughout the day. It definitely stays put. I'd suggest a track system for small adjustments. I personally use Kore Essentials but theres plenty of good brands with a trackline system on the belt
@@marcusedcofficial gotcha, thanks man, glad I didn't order one to test that out. I do have a Kore belt and the quick adjusting is great, even one handed. I just recently switched to appendix carry and have really been struggling with comfort, and was looking for an option with some stretch to help when bending. That seems to be my worst aspect, hinging and bending down. Have been waiting to try out the hunter Constantine belt when it becomes available. p.s. thanks for covering edc gun stuff without going complete wannabe spec ops dude
Small wide! I use that one on both of my handguns. I tried the pack, small medium and wide are personal preference, but i honestly think the wide works better either way.
Might change your mind with carrying in sweat shorts or athletic shorts with the Hunter Constantine belt. Use to run Kore too but the whole belt being rigid has its own drawbacks, but this thing is comfortable to the point I run it on regular pants now too. Rigid front that stays firm for your gun, but the rest of the belt is a tight elastic, so it feels like nice compression shorts. Stretches when you need it too, but compresses when you’re up.
Ill have to look into it! Right now i have one pair of arrowhead tactical and ive even rigged my other joggers to be able to run a belt through, i just dont find it as convenient ad regular pants or shorts. Not like im wearing athletic gear in public anyway, but ill have to do a video on the subject! Thanks for the info and support!
@@marcusedcofficial Ayy I try to look somewhat presentable for summer too and I’m not out in public with gym shorts. But, yeah throw these on joggers or more athleteisure pants is king for quick trips to groceries and also great on pants with belt loops because it has the right kind of give with movement. There’s a reason it’s also super popular with women too. Best results will probably come from a gun size something like a shield or 43x like me. I also don’t run an extra mag carrier by my gun, but instead a pocket reload. My holster is the T1C Xiphos elite.
Mine changes depending on the day. It’s a rotation of 3.5” single stack nighthawk counselor, 4” double stack Wilson combat edc x9 and nighthawk agent 2 4.25” single stack .45acp
Pros and cons of FDE vs Black for EDC ? I wear khaki shorts almost always so as a newby to edc it makes sense to have the colors blending. What's your thoughts ?
As far as the color of the gun? I dont think that necessarily matters if its concealed. Id love to hear more about what you think! I have a dark grey and a light grey gun doesnt make a difference to me! Im not a big FDE guy in general im more multicam black😂
I'm just not able to give up my joggers, sweats and gym shorts. No Sir. Neomag Alias and Leisure Carry solved carrying without a belt (for me anyways). Great video.
I do the same, I love being "comfortable" when I'm not going anywhere there's a "dress code". I also use the leisure carry, but I also use the VNSH holster too.
Great video. Awesome tips. I carry Glock 19 holosun 507C ACSS all the time, even in winter in a tier one Agis Elite AIWB. Recently switched too the Hunter Constitine belt, loved it so much I have 2 of them now lol. I recently switched to a Canik Mete SF with the holosun 407C. Carry that in a Werkz holster. Carry that one all the time as well. Shoot them both very well. I too train as well. On the Werkz holster went with dcc clips ands I'm a fan of those. Keep up with the great videos. Liked and subbed. 👍👍👍
I’m one of the seasonal change people. I prefer my G43x in warmer weather and then alternate between a Canik TP9 ESC and a PSA Dagger Compact for fall/winter. It just helps justify buying more tools for carry 😂.
Just wondering when you need to go pee in a public toilet. Do you go in a urinal or go in a cubicle so nobody can see it? Planning to get one so just doing my research. Thanks!
i use the urinal mostly and just go "through the gate". i try not to use the stall unless i need to. the less i need to remove my holster from the belt the better.
I am originally from STL. In Detroit, yes you change because of temperature. We wear much bigger coats. Our summers here are vastly different. Its more like a STL fall.
I can see that. However, even in my biggest coat the last 3 years, I've carried the shield plus! The only issue being that the trigger guard isnt super big so i have to be careful of the gloves im wearing. Thanks for watching! STL all the way!
People who conceal carry different guns depending on the season look at guns as fashion statements and as a flex that's why they always have to let people know they change with the season. I carry fullsized everyday I'm a big guy so it's easy for me. One note would be that with the right holster and belt system you can absolutely carry in anything. I use a comfort concealment belt and I can conceal full sized in basketball shorts or drawstring pants and it never bounces around or prints. My moto is tight enough to pass the jump test but flexible enough that I feel it move slightly when I bend.
Good philosophy! I dont necessarily think everyone who rotates their carry is trying to flex i think some people have a ton of guns they truly want to carry. Maybe ill get there one day but for now im more streamlined. Thanks for watching!
Sorry about your feelings buddy but depending where you are you’re not gonna carry a Standard glock in 90+ degree weather when you’re wearing a light weight T and some above knee shorts.. I’m in Texas I carry a g27 during winter and fall and a stoeger mc in the summer
@Gbody_Klown youre absolutely right! It doesnt work for everyone to have just one carry and it makes sense to have a good rotation for different situations
@@Gbody_Klown The two guns you named are so close in size that you almost proved my point more than you did disprove it. Stoger MC overall length 6.1 in and height including mag is 4.4 inches. G27 overall length 6.5in and height including mag is 4.2 in. So you’re cooling yourself down by shortening the length by 0.4? While increasing the height by 0.2? I don’t know about that one. I will say I have been carrying a full sized all metal weapon in shorts that are above the knee in 90 degree weather however where I live certainly does not get as hot as Texas. It’s incredibly rare we make it to 100 degrees. I’ll also admit me being a bigger guy helps me be able to carry larger guns. All in all, I do agree tho different strokes for different folks but I don’t think that example you gave was the best to disprove what I was saying. I think Marcus hit the bullseye when he said folks usually just have more than one gun they like and want to carry. Very rarely is it truly some great tactical advantage.
Thats at least my philosophy! I can see myself changing edc eventually as of course i want to get into the 2011 platform😂 i would need tons of training with the multiple safties before i make it an edc. And i would need a ton of money😂😂
I cannot understand the love of jorts as a man. So many other options. Would never wanna be caught without my EDC gun, but even more don’t wanna be caught in a pair of jorts. 😂
This is another question I get a lot! Ive worked a desk job the last 6 years and appendix carry every day no problems! Of course its not absolutely 100% comfortable, i dont think any carry position is. However it can be done withiut causing major discomfort. Ill have to do a video on it!
Bruh your whole worlds gonna change when you find out about the belly band holster. I can carry my edc in whatever, whenever....shorts, joggers, but naked if need be. Check out the belly band and try it out.
How are you carrying when running or working out especially outside in the summer? Was thinking about getting an across the chest bag. Would love some input
Ive done bag carry while running and never felt comfortable. I use my arrowhead tactical while running. Working out is one i havent narrowed down yet. My belly shows too much while working out to carry in public. So it stays locked in my bag which is locked in a locker. Thanks for watching
Teir one holsters are so bulky at the opening compared to my other ones t rex arms and txc x1pro is really great im also a fan of a different gun just because I have practiced on Tayloring to my personal liking 👍🏻
Im working on a video where I show how I carry in different situations. Spoiler alert: I dont tuck unless absolutely necessary. I avoid it by wearing untuckablw shirts and even sweaters in place of dress shirts
Pepper spray is something most dont keep on their person! I would definitely look into pepper gel as well. All the benefits of pepper spray but it sticks to your target instead of filling the air and possibly impairing yourself as well.
I honestly do not understand why people switch from one pistol to the next for winter and summer for self-defense on humans (woods carry might be different). I personally carry the biggest firearm I can carry comfortably, in the least amount of clothing I wear. Which is during the summer in athletic shorts. For me, that is something like a Glock 48 or a Sig 365 Macro with a Hunter Constantine belt. Nice video.
@marcusedcofficial lol I got a few pistols laying around here at the house. Full size to micros, and honestly, I specifically train with one pistol (365 xmacro), I never even think about carrying my others. Mainly because it now feels like an extenstion of my arm. I keep telling myself to buy another one but find myself using that money on ammo and training. 😂 Keep up the good content.
2.0 MP40 3.6 compact/MP9 3.6 SC over the G26/23 either of these are two are the only two you’ll ever need, also the TS models are best for niche carry/mic holsters/👨👩👦 and the 3.6s fit tlr1/7 holsters Scotty don’t G26/27🍫🤣 you really only need the G26/23/21 for glocks easiest conversions if needed swap Complete slides/mags

Thats a fact! Thanks for watching💯
Let’s see that shield plus set up!
I definitely plan on going in depth!
*Who loves short, shorts?*
I conceal carry an M&P 2.0 Compact 4” barrel in 9mm almost all year round.
Hunter Constantine belt is the way to go.
Ill have to add them to my closet full of belts😂😂
Facts. That belt helps conceal really well since the back is flexible and the front is sturdy
That belt took me from carrying 30 percent of the day to 90%. I couldn’t stand carrying with the stiff belts
A wedge is a MUST for appendix IMO. If someone doesn't like carrying AIWB, try the wedge and you'll be a fan
tbh I forgot how much of a must it is. I was rocking the tier one wedge before I ever had a sidecar style holster.
I started out with vedder but once i went to tier one i cant go to a different style. It just fits my needs so well
I am 5’9 and 170lbs I carry a Glock 17 with x300t and acro p2 and spare mag with +5 base plate year around in appendix and sometime on my hip very rare tho but with summer coming up nothing changes besides wearing an undershirt is key and having a solid belt l run a kore essentials belt and just wearing the right size clothes note tho I do wear long pants almost all year around due to the work I do but I can do the exact same in shorts
Ive definitely tried this before
I find myself in gym attire a lot, so i tend to run ulticlips on all of my holsters. It removes the need for belts and secures the holsters extremely well. And i transition my carry guns based around attire. But i do so between the guns im most comfortable and accurate with.
I love the athlesiure carry!
A good quality undershirt is mandatory for me. I wear one daily no matter the temp.
I have a shield plus. But I still carry an fns9c most of the time cuz I have so much trust in it. 10k+ rounds, not one issue, many classes and my most carried gun.
The undershirt is so underrated! Very glad to hear you carry a slightly bigger gun in exchange for trust and confidence!! Thanks for watching
Personally, I just have a couple different guns I love so much so I rotate them. I’m lethal with either 🤷🏽♂️
Thats the important thing!!
I NEED HELP!
Springfield Hellcat or Sig 365XL for EDC?
Tbh its all personal preference. Theyre both great guns it's about what youre comfortable with and what you shoot better. My personal opinion is the sig 365xl but the hellcat is great value for money. I just shot the sig better
@@marcusedcofficial
Thank you for responding so quickly
a Russell brand drifit from walmart as an undershirt works very well also. very comfortable, cheap & effective.
Carry on🔫💪🏾💯
My carry edc is a g3c and I just wear a regular belt under my drawstring shorts and I clip the holster to the belt and the shorts and I have no problems at all. The belt keeps everything where it needs to be and nothing moves around.
Carry on💯💪🏾🔫
I would to see how you go about carrying in formal/ semi formal clothing. I’ve been to several “fancy” events and had to leave my ccw in my car or somewhere else that’s relatively near by. Feels like I’m naked and super vulnerable…
I will absolutely be doing this!
I carry the 365 every day, regardless of the season. Different guns in different spots makes it harder to develop muscle memory. The more consistent your carry method, the more efficient you will be when things go wrong.
I know I really want a staccato but I know the manual safety is keeping me from it tbh
I’ve found myself still able to cc my Glock 19. Sometimes I may grab LCPMax for pocket carry to mailbox or prohibitive clothing like a suit
Lcp max is underrated!
Get the comfort concealment belt. You will not regret it. Makes it so that you can carry even with joggers or basketball shorts
I dont really wear athletic wear in public but this seems to be a point of contention for a lot of people. Ill have to do some content around it
I carry my shield plus for summer and Glock 19 for winter. I train with them both and they work great for me
Great to hear! Any mods to either or bone stock? Thanks for watching!
@@marcusedcofficial Glock 19 with holosun optic and tlr7a appendix tier 1 and shield plus with an appendix holster spare pocket mag (neomag) holosun I try to keep it lighter in the summer
@@frankmischler4424 love to see it!
Great video and really good tip about wearing an undershirt. Those textures will tear up your skin after a while.
I appreciate the support!
I think in some areas people want a large frame to grab through heavy layers so I can see having more than one EDC. This means we just get to buy more guns. 😂
I made a promise to not buy any more guns. But i aint buying any less😂😂 thanks for watching!
I’ve never thought of having the belt clip to the side 🧐 👏🏽
Its actually pretty commin for people who carry appendix! I dont do it all the time but especially with the groove belt it works great! Thanks for watching.
@@marcusedcofficial thx. Solid content
@piela650 that HC is very intriguing but it looks like a hook and loop system which might not be best for quick adjust but it does look comfortable
What size wedge do you use from T1?
Loved your setup sir! New subscriber.
I appreciate the support!
Great content and tips!
Glad it was helpful!
Mine changes depending on the day. It’s a rotation of 3.5” single stack nighthawk counselor, 4” double stack Wilson combat edc x9 and nighthawk agent 2 4.25” single stack .45acp
sounds like a good problem to have! thanks for watching!
Pros and cons of
FDE vs Black for EDC ? I wear khaki shorts almost always so as a newby to edc it makes sense to have the colors blending. What's your thoughts ?
As far as the color of the gun? I dont think that necessarily matters if its concealed. Id love to hear more about what you think! I have a dark grey and a light grey gun doesnt make a difference to me! Im not a big FDE guy in general im more multicam black😂
Should try a philster. I hear great things.
Ive gotta try em for contents sake for sure!
Good video. Clothing, belt and holster choices matter. Don’t use FOMI. I don’t like sidecar holsters but use what you can carry the best with.
I agree! I think people forget these videos are not meant to be a "how to" but a "how I" thanks for watching!
How comfortable is appendix while seated?
Very doable! After so long of carrying, i hardly notice it while working my desk job
I'm just not able to give up my joggers, sweats and gym shorts. No Sir. Neomag Alias and Leisure Carry solved carrying without a belt (for me anyways). Great video.
I envy those! I just carry way too much shit😂 and the athletic shorts dont typically have horizontal pockets😂 thanks for watching!
I do the same, I love being "comfortable" when I'm not going anywhere there's a "dress code". I also use the leisure carry, but I also use the VNSH holster too.
@jonathanwilliams7161 ive heard great things about leisure carry as well!!
Thanks for your support! I definitely have to get a HC belt. this channel is going to end up costing me money lmao!
Solid recommendation. Subbed.

I’m one of the seasonal change people. I prefer my G43x in warmer weather and then alternate between a Canik TP9 ESC and a PSA Dagger Compact for fall/winter. It just helps justify buying more tools for carry 😂.
I got no problem in justifying another responsible purchase! carry on brother thanks for watching!
Nice video, good info, and cool guns.
More to come! Thanks for the support!
Which DCC clips do you use with the groove belt? Mod 4 Universal 1.5? or 1.75?
not sure which mod they are, they are the standard height 1.5" and no cant adjustment. I know they have a ton of models lmao
i just looked at the website and it looks like the mod 4 1.5" universal is what I use! good eye!
Gotcha! Appreciate it brother.🫡
I carry a walther pdp 18+1 and I refuse to change it out lol I just got better with my concealment
It's all about practice!
@@marcusedcofficial go cardinals
Couldn’t agree more bro!

I switch back & forth between a Glock 43 in the Summer & Glock 48 in the Winter.
The 48 would be my daily choice! That's easily my favorite carry glock. Thanks for watching!
That makes a lot of sense. Master one gun, and accessorize it to fit all occasions.
Thats at least my philosophy! I can see myself changing edc eventually as of course i want to get into the 2011 platform😂 i would need tons of training with the multiple safties before i make it an edc. And i would need a ton of money😂😂

I have fun doing everything! never had a problem. Even my friends and family that know I carry have to ask if I am.

How do you carry in a formal setting with tucked shirts?
Im working on a video where I show how I carry in different situations. Spoiler alert: I dont tuck unless absolutely necessary. I avoid it by wearing untuckablw shirts and even sweaters in place of dress shirts
What holster is that?
Tier1 Axis Elite!!
Nice setup! Mines pretty basic and realistic:
Knife
Pistol
Extra mag
Pepper spray
And that’s it…
Pepper spray is something most dont keep on their person!
Nice video.
Thats my philosophy! At least until i get more carry guns😂 i dont see myself having only two handguns for very long
@marcusedcofficial lol I got a few pistols laying around here at the house. Full size to micros, and honestly, I specifically train with one pistol (365 xmacro), I never even think about carrying my others. Mainly because it now feels like an extenstion of my arm.
