I love your card making videos! I'm glad you've been enoying getting back into the papercrafting bits and pieces recently! and thank you for the inspiration! xx Natasha
I watch most videos from my phone, and I like to take a screenshot of the final result. Then I have a picture of whatever the project may be-- to remind me of what it was that caught my eye. Then whenever I want, I can go back and review the project later or re-look up the steps involved. For me-- I usually alter the finished card/project in some way. Every now and then, I will replicate a design. But for the most part, I like to make it my own-- and I try to watch videos to get inspiration and ideas from other artists and crafters. And allso to learn new techniques!! And discover new products for sure!! We all need to be inspired and get new ideas, right!!?? It's people like you, Natasha - that really helps us do that!! So thank you very much!! Today's card - really, really beautiful, btw...😍😍😍
I’m glad I’m not the only one who gets over inspired and ends up at my table completely confused. I do save your videos and refer back to them. It would be better if I could divide them into separate categories. I sometimes comment on a video you made years ago. They are a valuable resource. Thank you for your work!!
Me too Natasha. Head like a sieve at times but, I often go back through videos for moere inspiration. Giving thanks for all of you gifted crafters who share so much with us.
If I don't do it right away, it generally doesn't get done. I've tried making sketches, but I rarely consult them. I have inspiration files of photos, which sometimes get me started. Sometimes I see something when I browse through my previous cards that gets me started (particularly good at getting me to reuse a die with different papers or coverplate with a different focal image over it). I don't find myself with nothing I can think of to make when I get into my studio-picking which project to do is more the challenge for me.
I completely agree: if I don't nail it down I'll forget it. I have a graph paper notebook where I make notes as my mind rushes with ideas. I note dies and stamps I have that might work. I often sketch additional ideas. After I make the project I go back and add notes and ideas from it. This sounds like a lot but even years later I can open my notebook and get inspiration. So worth it.
Ah the old craft inspiration and head full of ideas!! 😉😉 I know exactly how it feels to get too inspired. If I get an idea, I try and sketch it out straight away else I forget. Or, if I’m scrolling Pinterest, I don’t scroll for long. I select a category I like, find a card I like the look of and make it my own fairly quickly. Or I go back through your channel to get some technique ideas if I’m stuck for creativity, but only one or two videos at a time 😉 Love this card Natasha! You made it your own and have inspired me to get some masking strips, and break out some of my unused stencils 😃🩷
Beautiful card I save the video's of my favorite artists each person has a folder and each company i follow has one so I can scroll through for inspiration like your beautiful cards.
Oh Natasha. Sitting here watching your video you were describing me exactly. All the great ideas that I see and then poof they are gone. Your card was beautiful and the advice of watching one and then trying the technique I’m definitely going to be trying. Thanks for sharing
Beautiful card Natasha. I save my favorite TH-cams in different files on my phone. The files are by categories such as cards, junk journals, etc. I also save them on to Pinterest.
I have a note book where I draw a design then do dimensions for the various parts. I have really cheap white paper that I then use to make a prototype and staple it all together
Gorgeous card. Wonderful inspiration from Lindsey! I love her! That gold vase with white flowers and the white splatter is beautiful! I keep track of inspiration in various ways: I save to a playlist on youtube, take a screen shot then edit the photo adding creators name, and tips or materials used, also have a specific notebook with ideas and draw pix!Tfs hugs💞
Sooo gorgeous Natasha, I just love your creativity & the cards that you make 💕💕thankyou for your wonderful inspiration. I also love the way you talk us through what you’re doing 😊😊
I screenshot the finished cards to give me inspiration. I always include the name of the video and channel so I can go back and rewatch. Thanks for once again sharing your wonderful talents with us.
I have some many ideas and notes and videos. Wish I had started filing a long time ago. Need to get to my stash of things to try. Thank you for the ideas- a beautiful card.
If I don’t have time to write anything out at the time, I save the video for later. Then I put measurements and diagrams on paper and have a binder. Thanks for the ideas and a lovely card!
Thanks for this video. Like someone else said in these comments if there is a video I like I save them under their names. I have gone back and watched some and done a project. This card that you made was gorgeous. 🥰💕
I screen shot things at times and when I get to my craft table I look through my gallery. It's also a rule of mine to copy/commit to just that one element I like best and from there, using my existing supplies it blooms into something. I also did away with social media shortcuts and I put gallery shortcut instead, life's better revisiting pretty collection of my own appreciation than only ever watching other people's highlight reels
Such great advice, Natasha! I have made the mistake of filling my mind with lots of ideas with no time to work on doing them. Then when I get time, I forget most or all of them. Thank you!
I love this card! I save videos and usually a screenshot of the card. When I’m ready to make something, I look through my screenshots and then find the video. I love watching your videos! I learn so much. Thank you!
I really like this card. You have a great imagination. I liked the way you used the stencil. The solar paste and embossing really made the vase stand out. I had to watch the replay.
Great idea. I can’t draw stick people but I do save most of your videos. In Florida we just had a hurricane and still not good. Water every where street flooded and spent 3 days preparing. Exhausted and still unsure if water will get in house. 7 years ago it flooded and we were out for 9 months. So can’t do this again and not out of the woods yet. Say a prayer. We will not be staying when things get back to normal we will have to sell. It’s just too much and too old for this. Love your channel so much.
Judy i'm so sorry that you've been hit so hard in the last couple of weeks. Did both Hurricanes affect your property? I wish you all the best for moving into the next phase and hopefully finding a new house somewhere safe. Much love and sending good luck your way xx Natasha
Aloha and mahalo, thank you, for this inspiring exploration of techniques and materials to create a fabulous card!!! Don't have stencils, but masking and washi tapes work for me. On to my own explorations ala Natasha.🌺
Oh wow. This turned out nothing like what I was imagining but I really love it 😀. I don't have the vase die, but I just cut out my own shape. Thank you so much Natasha 💓 x
Love Lindseys channel. What a very impressive card, very fancy, yet fun. Love that gold vase a lot. NATASHA, you hit the nail on the head about taking in so many great ideas, then waiting, then forgetting what I wanted to make to begin with, it is a viscious circle. Thank you for that tip.
I have made a resolution now, after watching this vid, to place paper directions with my special materials, eg, foils, double= sided adhesive paper, fun foam. This is because I forgot how to apply my new foil (non heat), and had to revisit this. Epecially when a material/item is new to you, you easily forget how to use it! Like I did just now. So I am revisiting one of your vids, and one other to refresh my memory. So thanks for jogging my memory to find that out again. BTW You would love trying reverse stencilling, using watercolor or water reactive inks, see Krista Robertson's channel for an example, it's pretty inspiring, just like your vids are. Many thanks, Gill
Thank you, Natasha. I thought this was a very helpful video, and you created a gorgeous card. Sometimes, I get unbelievably confused and don’t end up making anything, but at least I enjoy rewatching all the videos 🌻🌻
I have a folder on my computer that I jot down the vid# and a description that way I can search and hopefully find what I'm looking for lol. Love this idea, will definitely give it a go,I'm trying lots of new techniques recently and really enjoying my card making.
I love it! Fun card. I quite enjoy using Masking Magic. When I see something on YT or whenever on Google, I'll often screenprint and email the idea to myself, or like you, I'll draw it. But I also get overwhelmed and procrastinate at times. The last couple of days, though, I started assembling cards I started. Thank you for the video, Natasha!
Loved your tips. Inspiration is one thing but following through is another matter entirely. Thank you for another reason not to clean house tomorrow. Beautiful card.
Thanks for the shout out! I love how your card turned out!

Natasha, That’s a neat card ! I agree that I do get so many ideas, but they don’t stick, because I watch so many before actually making a card ❣️
Great idea to use the masking strip as an element inside the card! Beautiful card!
Gorgeous card! 😍 I take pics of my inspirations and bring up the photo when I'm ready to make it.
