It may be obvious to most people working on bikes however beginners need to make sure that the shifter is in the setting with no tension i.e. the smallest chainring or the smallest cog when swapping out cable otherwise cable tension will be totally messed up.

Caution: Some RevoShift shifters have small very recessed screws holding the plastic housing together so you can't pry it off with a flat head, as this video shows.

On my bike, the gears shift down, but I can't shift up (on the rear wheel). Do you have any idea what could be wrong?

I suggest starting from the beginning, by positioning the shifter in the smallest gear position.

My leftside Revoshift Shifter has '+ to -' friction level indicators and not the 1-2-3 speed as shown in yours. Does the one you have shifts from one gear to another in a single click or does it also have mutistep rotation while shifting?

Same here. Trying to figure out how many clicks until it fully shifts. Seems like 3 sets of clicks or wrist rotations. First day with it so I’ll edit this if I fully figure it out.
