Love Vacasa! We used it when we went to Maui in November. I have the Wyndham business earner which makes me Diamond. That gives me 10% discount so 13,500 per bedroom. Spent 67,500 for a 1 bedroom condo for 5 nights. Also no fees which is huge. Hate paying all the cleaning and bogus fees Airbnb and VRBO have.
@@MaxMilesPoints of course. Love the videos. The how to videos are awesome and much appreciated. I have no doubt you’ll be over 100k subs by the end or 2023. Keep up the awesome info.
You’re paying those fees regardless of whether they’re shown to you or not. A weekend stay at a $200/night Airbnb with a $100 cleaning fee is the exact same as a $250/night “Vacasa” without a fee…
I followed your guide word by word and booked 1 bd room loft, 2 adults and 1 child, for 2 nights during the President's Day weekend at Lake Tahoe for 30k points! Thanks Max!!
Thanks! I tried to book a $1,047.84 rental ($302/night), but the agent confirmed it is not allowed to book it with points. So I tried the next one for $804.41 ($215/night), and it worked. It turned out to be about 2.6 cents/pp. 👍👍
Love this video Max! My fiancé & I have always thought of going skiing so this is definitely something we might do! I honestly had no idea you could book condo’s with points! You explained it very well Max, great video as always man! 🙌🏻
Max! You are my fav mules and points channel mostly because you explain step by step so clearly. Thanks for the another awesome video. Question, how did you check into the condo? It looks like it's in the middle of the slope. It looks so awesome I need to see if I can book the same place!! And is it true it's harder to get approved for CapitalOne? I have CCs from just about all banks (amex, chase, citi, Barclay) but CapitalOne.
Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching and being a subscriber! The condo is like any regular condo building, drive up and park. The condo had two covered parking spaces too which is nice. Also capital one approval is a bit more unpredictable than Amex and chase. So yes I would say it’s harder to get approved
I was just approved for the C1 VX last week. I think they're a bit more "conservative" when it comes to your history of credit balance carry-over. I actually used C1 to help rebuild my credit starting back in 2014. It was about a 580 then and after about a year it jumped to the neighborhood of 680 (no carry-over balances). I then ended up getting another C1 (Platinum) and about a year afterwards (again, no carry-over balances) it increased to about 720 or so? The only carry-over balances I have are two cards that I use to self-finance home renovation projects with 0% interest, paying the balance when that rate period is over. I actually didn't use C1 for years (I have the Chase Trifecta with CSR, as well as Citi Premier), but I wanted to convert to C1 VX and Premier combo and downgrade the CSR to CSP. With that said, I think C1 is looking at your utilization and carry-over/late payments more so than just straight Debt to Income ratio and credit score. If you have decent credit score and a solid credit history then you should be fine. My previous poor score was due to not paying on my student loan debt as I never pay any secured credit lines late or miss any of those payments. I guess I should also mention (since I just remembered) that I have 2 REI Mastercard World Elite's that *were* US Bank, but for whatever reason C1 bought that card from them. So, I was transferred into C1 eco-system again last year when that transfer happened. I have 2 because of strange circumstances, but I ended up getting $200 gift cards for REI, which was very nice, because of that. Kind of amazed they let me do that, but, again, weird circumstances. So, maybe having that positive history with them for that year helped the decision? Either way, if you're credit score is decent and history is good, you should be fine. GL!
I used wyndham points for vacasa twice last year... But im looking for a Florida beach vacation this year, and i cant find a 1 br spot thats under $250/night... So it seems, with their recent devaluations, theres no longer value here
Vacasa owns Wyndham Vacation Club. I think there were like 150k units when they purchased it so that could be why they're not all usable with Wyndham points.
hey Max! love the video! So i have a question, i just signed up for the Citi Premier yesterday because of the elevated 80k sign up bonus and got approved but i also received the amex targeted offer in the mail for the platinum for 150k and it expires in Feb, do you think i should also capitalize on the amex platinum offer? i know i can hit the spend limit on both cards. What do you think? im weary about the amex offer because someone said its dangerous to apply for the targeted offers in the mail because of the "lifetime" language. any idea?
Hey! Thanks for watching. As long as you're not 'gaming' amex bonuses, you should be fine. Targeted offers in the mail are on the safer side. Random amex links with elevated offers found online are the offers I would be more worried about.

I booked a vacasa about a week ago with our citi thank you points. we were 4000 wyndahm point short to get three nights for 15,000 points so about 4000 points for $52 and they posted instantly through wyndahm. I was told that as long as one bedroom is under 500 a night you could book it using points and that was accurate as our one better and was over 400/night , and we were able to book it with points. I’ll definitely be using them in the future!
Thanks for the data point! It's so inconsistent, I had phone agents tell me different things and from my own experience there were Vacasas I thought would be bookable, but after calling in they were not. Guess really don't know until you call in to see if it's bookable.

Interesting, good to know!
Check out their relationship with Marriott Villas too! Might be able to use points for that as well!
