  • Follow along with the Seattle Tree Care arborist team as they expertly remove a tree dying from Dutch Elm disease. Dutch Elm is a highly contagious disease the affects primarily elm trees. Though not common, it can affect other species of trees, it's just very rare to see. It is a devastating, and often deadly, fungal infestation affecting all varieties of elm trees. Beetles tend to be the biggest culprit when it comes to spreading the disease. However root grafts and even landscaping tools can cause the disease to spread. Dutch Elm can kill a grove of elm trees in a matter of 2 seasons. A lone elm tree can be subdued in less than 3 weeks.
In this video we did something a little different. You won't hear anyone talking, save for a voice over. What you will hear are all the sounds you would experience if you were on the sidewalk watching this crew safely remove a dead tree. So enjoy! Thanks for watching! Don't forget to like, share and subscribe! Doing so helps grow this channel so we can provide you with more entertaining content. Voice over by Ethan - Tree Health Manager at Seattle Tree Care.
