I love how you dive right into it with no fear. I know people who are scared to change their own battery.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

found you while searching and I have to say you have made a great detailed video that shows every step and why and is 1000x better than Haynes or any other book or instructions I have found.

MRFABIO, this was a fun video to watch. Don't sell yourself short. You definitely are mechanically inclined and seems like you've done this before. Even though you didn't record everything it's still 100 times better and easy to understand than most videos on here. Great quality and good editing. It's good to see how you started and ended with good results. Thanks for making the video my friend.

For anyone needing additional help. I did this swap on my 1998 Honda Accord ex f23a1 with baxa trans to jdm f23a1 mgpa trans. Super easy. I used EVERY sensor off my old eng/trans on the JDM motor/trans, some sensors are the same, some are not. Doesn’t hurt to swap all of them even though I think the only ones you NEED to swap are the transmission sensors. Used the intake and exhaust manifold off the bad engine. Powersteering pump on JDM motor has a 90 neck on the inlet pipe. you can use it but it’s gonna take lengthening your old hose or just using your power steering pump off your old motor. Make sure you use Honda brand DW1 transmission fluid. If you’re reusing your old radiator make sure you flush the trans lines and part of radiator that the trans fluid runs through. I added an inline transmission filter and a transmission cooler, you don’t need that but it can only help. Make sure you have good ground connections. I made a few of my own and hid them. Battery to block, block to frame, frame to body, Battery to body, blah blah blah. Change your timing belt on your new motor before you put it in. And when you get done with all that. drive the car. Get it up to operating temp. Put it in park. Turn all lights and accessories and hvac stuff OFF. then rev the engine to 3000rpm and hold it there for 5 mins. To let everything relearn/reset. My Speedometer is slightly off due to the jdm transmission having different gear ratios. No check engine light and running like a champ.

Great job man!! I'm actually pulling my trans sat morning to change clutch and rear main so watching a few videos just to get familiar. 01 accord, 247k on original clutch. It's finally slipping bad enough it needs changing. My car is very clean and motor runs great so as u said, I just can't junk it!! I'd rather just try do it myself, damn sure not paying anyone... timing belt wp soon to follow

It's not recommended for long term using 10w30 motor oil instead of Honda MTF will result in shifting issues with your syncros, especially increased wear. Better to use ALL HONDA fluids in Honda cars.

This is the most hack, unsafe way imaginable. Shit just make sure the trans fluid isn't low and this wouldn't of happened in the first place
