Thank you Misha! Yes, there is a heavy Asian influence in Peruvian cuisine (please check out my latest "Nikkei" and "Chifa" videos where I go to my fave Peruvian/Japanese and Peruvian/Chinese restaurants). You should check out my Causa Acevichada recipe th-cam.com/video/nNky0-vddVo/w-d-xo.html
Hi Andy 👋 Love watching you on MKR! Love your video and this recipe. Do you know if the chilli paste is available online or what would be a good substitute? Thank you! ❤️
Great video and recipe Andy. So easy to follow. I can't wait for more. Is there a particular deli/international food market in Brisbane where we can find Peruvian ingredients?
Thank you so much! There are a few places around Brisbane, depending on what you're after. I usually buy all my savoury peruvian ingredients from Pennisi Cuisine in Woollongabba.
I've never had Ceviche and on Mkr the ones you and Ruby make always look so delicious, but I understand you need good quality fresh fish which prob isn't in abundance where I am in the UK? is there any way to get around this to try your recipe? would frozen then defrosted fish be good enough? thanks Andy, good luck on Mkr! x :)
Thank you Casey!! Ceviche is one of my favourite dishes to eat! You can use frozen fish but it needs to be of high quality. You can use salmon, tuna or even prawns to make ceviche. Let me know how you go!
Hey Amiga, beautiful video, its very good explained, great tips😉. Look so delicious😋, the only thing is how you cut the red onion, you know very well how we do it in Peru, on the hands, the onion has to be paper fine and small slices like julienne and more . The another way could use the mandoline. Anyway i just say this because you sound very perfectionist in MKR & sometime a little bit too tough. Te deseo todo lo mejor en tu nuevo proyecto. I cann't wait for your next recipes. Arriba Peru!!!!❤😘
Hi! You're right, traditionally the onion is sliced thinner. I prefer the onion to be thicker in this version though as I find it provides a textural element because there is no cancha or corn. Thanks for your comment and support! :)
Hola amiga! Yum! Will definitely be tuning in!
Thanks amiga!!!!
Everytime I watch one of your videos I fall in love with the food and your beauty. Cheers from Miami.

Your Nikkei Tuna Ceviche would go well with a Pisco Sour in a sunny day by the beach.
