One of my best friends just died yesterday morning; after the New Year's Party he called his mom to come pick him up since he didnt feel fine to drive. His mom runned off the road and the car fell into this lake. His girlfriend -who also was in the car-, and his mom could make it out of the vehicle and got out. He couldnt, and drowned. He is dead now and the emergency services are trying to get his body out of the lake. I can't listen to this song without crying, remembering him.

This is such an amazing song. This album really brings out Deryck's voice. Especially in this song, his voice sounds so fragile that it literally sends a chill down my spine. The story behind it is really touching too. A lot of people seem to think it's about Avril, Deryck expected that to happen too, but it isn't. I think they should release it as a single, it could do really well on the radios and they could finally gain the fame they deserve.

Yeah it's true, songs can have several meanings, depending on the one who's listening to. But here, the lyrics are pretty clear, and it would be stupid not to recognize this is about a car crash.
@christophcooneyoff I agree. I do respect those pop-punk bands but not a lot of people do. Most people only know sum 41 from in too deep and fat lip etc. Their real great songs came out of chuck and SBM imo. This being one of them.
