What are the specs on your Kastking Estuary Rod and Kapstan Reel? And do you love the setup for the jetties? My Jetty rods are 2 Sharky 3k reels paired with Brutus Medium Heavy/Moderate rods.
That’s the combo I use at the Jetty. It’s the KastKing estuary rod 7’6 action Mod Fast with the Kapstan Elite 3000 series reel with 20lb leader

@@joeyfitzpatrickfishing this year has been some of the best sheepshead fishing for me for sure but then again this was the first year I went all in to focus on targeting them more than usual too.

Definitely filled up some space in the freezer. Para doesn’t eat a lot of fish so all the fish came home with me that day.

I thought about trying to go through the base and fish there today. I ended up going to jax beach pier and only caught a couple of baby croaker and a baby blue fish. 😪
Some days are like that but hey… you still were catching 👍😊
Bait shop didnt have fiddler crabs so I only caught one sheepie on shrimp. Very disappointing outing at the mayport jetties.
Try going at low tide and flipping over rocks to catch mud crabs. They are free and work better than fiddler crabs in my opinion. Just takes a little work to get them.
Sandfleas work great too out there. Some baitshops carry them as an alternative when they don’t have sandfleas
what set up do you use?
At the jetty I’m using my KastKing estuary Inshore series 7’6 action Moderate Fast Rod with the KastKing Kapstan Elite 3000 series reel and 20lb leader
with 10pound braid?
@@alexanderaguirre3345 that will work, its been a while since I put braid on the reel but I believe its currently got 15lb
