Watching this in 2022. Looks like PSPs are on the way up. I remember when you could basically get PSPs for the cost of shipping. A working one that isnt perfect is minimum $60 for a 2000/3000 without a battery. With a batt and charger its $100 and up for just a black model. Time to buy them while they can still be found at reasonable prices.
At this point I'm glad I got a half working white 1000 out of the trash. The only things wrong with it are a slightly stubborn circle button, a rotten UMD drive (and I really mean it's rotten, there's rust on it by the kilos) and a broken DC jack (at the yellow end fortunately). I thankfully have a black 1000 for parts (bad screen - not cracked but 2/3s of it glitch like hell) so the white one is gonna see another 10 or so years of play.
Sir james, can you make a video of psp 2000/3000 that doesnt detect battery but can turn on while charger is plugged in and how to fix it.. 🙏🙂 thank you in advance...

Good video, but for future videos on the PSP make sure you refer to the memory card as the Memory Stick, or Memory Stick Pro Duo. They can't natively take (Micro) SD Cards, though there are Memory Stick-to-micro-sd-card adapters on Amazon that you can get for $5 USD or less.
@@classicpanthur9649 no but its pointless, unless you want 32gb of movies.. it's more used to have ISOs and play games off the card (CFW required for that)
Hey tech james the noisy disc reader is only on the 1000 the newer ones have a quieter disc reader but slower Edit: don't put the effort to fix the psp street's umd drive cuz it's louder than the 1000, not really slow but it doesn't worth fixing it
i grew up with psx and a fan of it, but i must admit sony are greedy bastards, psp1000 had aterrible dpad and needed a mod to play fighting games as diagonal movement was bad. We went from 1000, 2000, 3000, psp go with no true improvement with each change. The go still has the small terrible lcd screen but even worse controls
The wifi standard is too old on the psp. Unless you change your router settings back to wpa. it cantt connect to wpa-2
