A lot of time it is the money. Recent comment I left about a local guy in my area with an 03 Cobra with the blown FPRS I ran into his brother the other night after I got out of work. I knew his brother first but I was talking with him and he said he had yet to drain the oil and see if there's any damage as of yet. He bought the car really cheap out of Minnesota and it ROUGH. The trunk is from a GT and still has the bolt holes from the GT wing, car has been hit, has tons of exhaust leaks and all kinds of problems. Also has a hood with hood pin holes in it with no hood pins. He bought it for 14.5K and it has about 140K on it from what I remember. He did not bother to get it re tuned, its always hunting for idle. Just has tons of issues. So while talking with his brother in the parking lot after work he said he's not sure what he's going to do if the engine is blown. He said he doesn't have the money to fix / replace the engine and that's why he bought one that was cheaper. You cant buy one of these cars without a way to fix them if things go wrong being major or minor and you cant buy a cheaper one, not address the issues, beat the hell out of it all the time and when it does break not have the available means to fix it. This is why so many Cobra's ( Especially due to cost ) and others get parted out. I'm seeing this play out in front of me 10 mins away. I hope the engine is ok but I don't have a lot of hope for it from the details I've been given, the fact the FRPS failed under boost and now wont start is not good. We talked about what he might do if the engine is bad. Coyotes are 8K+ repairing the engine he has now is even more depending on what's wrong. Can hope for the best but I don't think he's getting out of this w/ out something being quite bad.
Yeah I agree. It’s unfortunate and understandable that people just can’t afford to fix them. It’s just a sad reality that they get parted out because of that
@@justin.c_svt Yup I agree. If I ever lost my engine for whatever reason I would rebuild it no matter how long it took and it wouldn't get a coyote engine. If I needed a whole new block I would go with a Ford Performance 5.3 modular stoker short block or a WAP / Teksid block
@@Lethal_Venom I feel the same way… My 2001 cobra will get rebuilt when the time comes… Everyone is coyote swapping, My 4.6 has been the heart of my ole girl for 24 years and she’s gonna be the heart 24 more years too.
I saw a Highland Green 01 Bullitt on the used car lot of a local Dodge dealer yesterday. The car had only 75k miles and they were asking 21k I believe.
The guy who is parting it out is a good guy. He parts a lot of the new edge mustang out most are wrecked. This car was picked up in the same condition as it sits today. He did not do this to this car.
Sad to see… Do you think the New Edge Bullitt, Mach1 and the 99-01 cobras will go up in value… We all know that the terminators are up but I wonder if the others will increase in tile also.
Just look back to the Supra, even the non turbo non GTE 2jz went up because you could make it whatever you wanted.. As the terminator goes up everything that has the same body style will follow because people make clones and tributes.. Especially when they start getting really hard to find..
@NewEdgeDesigns yeah. It’s sad that many very clean, straight V6 mustangs go to the wrecking yard for a bad transmission and stuff. They would make great clone swap cars down the road.
@@justin.c_svt yes they would… Just like the 4 cylinder fox… I believe the new edge is going to sky rocket some day… I believe the 99 and 01 will too along with the mach1 and bullitt
Their is really no reason these mustangs like this get parted out for money, some repairs, some TLC, and you get your money back out of it with the enjoyment of having a Bullitt Mustang.
Always sad to see a Bullitt on the chopping block! TB3250
Some people have the slightest clue of the stories on these cars and it sadden my heart seeing folks do this to em for money!
Ford just released a new intake manifold for the 2v 4.6 mustang gt. Part number is M-9424-P46A
Is it for sale from popular Mustang parts houses?
@justin.c_svt it's only on sale on the ford performance website.
That car get get a decent paint job for less than 1k nothing to it

@@anthonywithem2272 Excellent choice
It's a shame that someone wants to part out a car that runs perfectly❤❤❤
I agree. Such a cool car.
Sorry Justin I just realized you were talking about your Black bullet not your blue one I thought you meant your blue one lol

Wow.
That's alot for that mileage
Shame to see this. I feel like the black bullitt's don't get as much love as they should.

Good to know. I try to be polite when I consider the owners of the cars. It’s unfortunate that a good car gets parted out and off the road for good.
@@justin.c_svt completely agree I don’t like to see these cars being taken off the road.

I believe they will, just not as much as the terminator

Justin on your video you said the bullet you owned not Owen did you sell your bullet again??
No. I also had a black bullitt
Oh okay I would have been really surprised if you had LOL sold the blue one again but I'm glad you didn't it's my favorite out of all your cars
