This is how everyone mentally felt and heard when fighting Blue on the Gameboy version instead of listening to the 8-bit version, your skin crawls brutally knowing that you are going to finish the game and you only have to defeat Blue to be crowned a pokemon champion

If I remember correctly, the first time I ever played a Pokémon game through to the end, I was finishing Red for the first time. I got to the champion fight, and had no idea what an ether or elixir was, and so…my Blastoise ended up Struggle killing Blue’s Venusaur…somehow. I still don’t know how that managed to happen, mostly because I forgot, but I have very vivid memories of being like, I wonder what happens if I try to attack without PP.
