That’s a great idea with those 2 logs there as runners!!! 🙃
LBM isn't so little anymore! I can't believe how much he's grown since I started watching your channel. You're teaching him good work ethics. Nice job Dan.
He is sprouting up like a weed...lol...I didn't even have to ask him to come out and help and I'm glad he did...the bigger logs sometimes need help catching the roller so nice to have him on the controls. Thanks!
Good job LBM. Good to see a young man taking interest in this work. Good father son bonding time. Brings me back to when my son was that age and loved going out and helping with the wood. He is an adult now and we still enjoy our time together. Keep up the good job Dan.
Thanks! I agree on the seeing him take interest, that's the best part about it...I didn't ask him or tell him to come to the woodyard, he did all on his own.
Awesome to have LBM helping on the controls and dad watching on! The 365 was really knocking it out today!!
A non-talkie video is nice once in awhile 😊Thanks Dan😊
Shiftist, That Japa can produce some carnage ! Excellent action. SS. HF. BC.
Dan, good to see you and the Littls Boss Man workin together! Great video!
Good video It’s nice to see the next generation stepping up. Nice pile of wood 👍🔥🪵
I have to say, if I was starting up in the firewood business, which I am not, I would go for the Yapa! I like how clean it works and how little slash is produced! Very efficient unit! Good work, LBM!
Not only easy for you but man I love watching that Japa run! An awesome piece of equipment 👍💪👍
Dan...Those last two pieces of oak looked like you had just about reached the Japa's diameter limits but the engine never even stuttered when LBM hit the hydraulic ram lever. An amazing machine with a lot more customers waiting in the background. Great video!
Yep there were a couple logs that were at the max diameter. The saw takes awhile to get fully warmed up and going in colder temps but yeah by the end it was slicing em down!
Top shelf as Always Dan.
Robby in Southern Ontario.
Hopefully I am starting to feel Better now. Thank You for your kind and caring Comment Dan. Going to take awhile, like the Doctor said at least 2weeks more. Tell all the Woodhounds be Safe and Hang in there Buddy. Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.
That thing kick butt nice work 👍
Nice machine, loved all the different video angles, awesome video.😊
Thanks...appreciate you watching and the comment.
You've got some great help
Wonderful Danno!!! Also this spoke volumes
🤣 Oh hell yeah it did! hahahaha
At 12:15…less pick up if you move those totes when they get full and bring in 2 empty ones. Made some great looking firewood. Bossman taking over!
That's more along the lines of what a professional would do, as a hobbyist I like things to spill over and create more work for later. 🤣😆 I actually might end up running more and just fully bury those totes....lol
@@Back40Firewood 🤣🤣🤣 that would be a comment generator for sure. Just bury the H out of them and don’t say anything about it. 🤣🤣🤣
Nicely done Dan! I think you’re doing Japa proud.
Thanks! Few will understand the subtle tribute, but those who know, know...and that's what matters....lol
Great Video Dan. Your Son sure has gotten Big. Good to see him helping you Out making Firewood. 2 nice full totes of Firewood, and the Extra Pieces. Looks like Nice Oak Dan, and Little Man. Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.
Yep he's growing up quick and is starting to want to be out more & more in the woodyard. Hope you're feeling better.
Shifty you sure are shifting them logs into the lift
that must have been so good to do it as a team with your son
You can make the machine only by one person, very good.
I think you need to add the Little Bossman lean to your Jappa operating for dramatic effect. Great team work out there!
lol...I was chuckling to myself when he was doing that. I was like, hmmm I wonder if that helps at all....hahaha
I hope Bob didnt tell Japa where you live because I sure enjoy watching this eat up the wood!!
lol....well unfortunately they know, but I might get a big camouflage tarp and keep it covered....hahaha
@@Back40Firewood Maybe this is the unit we should get in my shop out of the weather then!🤠
I love the color of split wood. Lol
Lil' Boss Man at the helm!
Yep and I'm glad he was out there cuz those big logs at the end weren't getting grabbed by the in feed roller so needed a little assistance...lol...so having him run the controls helped a lot.
Glad to see how these machines produce firewood. However their cost is not logical for the common wood burner. I burn 26 to 30 face cords a year in my boiler. Still too expensive but glad I get to see them work on da tube.
This type of machine is more geared towards a commercial operation for sure...well unless ya want to make all your wood for the year in a hurry...haha...but then ya also need the proper material/logs to put through it.
Just like Joe, only on a hobbiest scale.
Nice 👍🇧🇻
It's good to see LBM helping out like that. Did something happen to the lever that advances the ram or has it always been like that?
Bill
It's fun having him out in the woodyard....nope the lever has always been like that. 👍
Good day to you sir. I was wondering how often to you sharpen/change the blade for the JAPA? I can't say that of all the channels I watch the use the JAPA - it is never talked about. Stay safe.
Not very often at all...I'll have to look at the hours I have on the 365 (and it's not many) but I haven't changed or sharpened the chain yet. When I do I'll show in video and how many hours of run time it had on it.
Woodhound Mentor.
hi there only you could have cough that piece like that . what talent. i was wondering who you would get to make your firewood , good job shifty good show best to all and your new helper , john
Ha...yeah the crazy thing is it didn't even get stuck between the totes, it stuck on one the edge of where the front was cut out...haha...but like ya said I just have that magic flowing through the woodyard!
The weather you have been having is easy on the wood 🪵 pile . 😊
Does the processor work better wearing the Japa jacket?😂👍👍🇺🇸
Oh hell yeah it does!! 🤣👍🍻
now that was clever ha ha
Boy you got all the goodie’s I no you sold the 12/22 what about the wolf ridge you still have it ?
Still have the Wolfe Ridge, but I never had a 12/22. I have the Eastonmade 37D. I did have the next model down of the Japa, the 315 Processor and that did end up getting sold.
Is LBM in the works to take over the back40 channel when you want to "retire"? Guess we shall see.😉👍
An extra IBC tote would have caught most of the wood overflow
Or maybe even two extra...😆
Ha
See JOE japa on u tube twice as fastest in cutting and splitting Mike .
Dan a little dad and son time no nagging from any women peaceful 😮😊❤👍
By
Baskets are full.😅
I think there's room for a few more pieces if I can get them to fall in the right spot.😆
Next time 4 krates for wood
Yeah that's probably a good idea...lol
Making pretty wood Dan, Nice Silent Revenge!😂🪵🇺🇸
A few of the Black Oak logs may have looked pretty, but let me tell ya they sure didn't smell pretty! 🤣🫢🤮
