    Hii love your video!! Great tips!! Was it hard for you to decide to have a home salon vs traditional salon? 🙂

    • @TheAngeSchofield
      @TheAngeSchofield  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you 💕 honestly no! That’s when I knew it was time, the fact that I was pregnant and I knew my little was coming and it was a priority for me! Less travel time away from her and we had an in home nanny so I was able to pop upstairs and spend time with her while I had breaks or when a client was processing. I would say it is hard because I am home a lot but on the weekends I really try to venture out so I don’t feel stuck in the house

    Great video, my wife is considering this as well. How did you get the water into that room for the shampoo bowl? Did you have to pull a permit and hire a plumber (separate tankless water heater?) Also, installing extra outlets is one thing.. another circuit is another. Did you have to actually add a separate circuit? (my wife uses a 'climazon') Thanks for your input!

    • @TheAngeSchofield
      @TheAngeSchofield  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank you! I had to hire a plumber to get water to the shampoo bowl but it was fairly easy since the 1/2 bath is on the opposite side of the wall! Yes we had to pull a permit but only because of the exterior door, we did also added another circuit at the circuit breaker just for the salon, and no separate water heater because no one else is at home using water while I’m working. Hopefully that helps some 💕

    Beautiful salon! Did you have to let the city know that you have a home salon? Any issues with zoning? In Florida we can have a home salon but the city can be a pain!

    • @TheAngeSchofield
      @TheAngeSchofield  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I appreciate that! I had to pull a permit for adding to door and make sure my HOA allowed it but no need to ask the city or any zoning issues.

    Thanks for sharing this video. I have a question about permit from city and state board of cosmetology… did you consultation with state board first or you talked with local city to get permit first before you hired contractor to done for you. I need some ideas. I going to do this at my home too..thank you

    • @TheAngeSchofield
      @TheAngeSchofield  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I talked to the board first to get an idea if my plan was going to be sufficient to be “approved” by the board before I actually started the work. And then to the city for the permit... my contractor also pulled the permit to add the exterior door to be sure we were doing everything the legal way ❤️

    • @TheAngeSchofield
      @TheAngeSchofield  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In Idaho you just have to have running water and a bathroom close by. So someone can’t walk all the way to the back of your house or into a bedroom to get to the bathroom. My bathroom is just on the other side of a wall down the hall

    Where do you find the laws for a home salon? I also live in Idaho. Do you have to have a separate door or could they use the garage door?

    • @TheAngeSchofield

      By law it says the door should be separate and go from outside to inside the establishment

    • @TheAngeSchofield
      @TheAngeSchofield  ปีที่แล้ว

      In Idaho it just has to be near by, as long as clients aren’t walking all the way through your house to get to it it’s ok if it’s not connected or separate. But every state is different so you can call Floridas occupational license department to ask
