Something like this but also doubling as a USB hub would be the most perfect solution to all of my USB related problems. No idea why the majority of USB hubs these days use a short tiny cable that is basically only designed for laptops, and don't do power delivery.

I always play on inverted on console. I think it just comes from the amount of time i have spent using tripods. They are inverted just by how they work with you being behind the pivot point. So you lift the handle up to tilt camera down etc.
This looks awesome though. I almost bought the old version on Amazon few days back because it was on special. But i think i will wait for this to come out here now.
I really do wish they took that port control one step further. And gave us a manual mode where you can set the ports to whatever max wattage you want.
    For me it would be
    100w (for Macbook)
    25w (for 15 Pro Max)
    25w (for S24 Ultra)
Then let the 4th USB C and the USB A ports stay on auto for whatever else i randomly plug in, powerbanks/my old iPhone 11 work phone etc.

@wwjoshdew On my unit, regardless of whether display brightness is set to min, max, or anything in between, the display appears relatively low contrast, with a washed-out gray hue in the background behind all text. It's most noticeable in a dimmer room lighting environment. While I'm sure that Anker didn't use an OLED panel in this, capable of absolute blacks, it seems as though it should be considerably more contrasting than this, if only for text legibility. Can I trouble you for input from your end? If you look at your unit head on, with the clock screensaver running, are able to see the hazy gray background of the entire display, with a noticeable break to absolute black when the actual, non-display front surface begins?

W/$ is poor on this device. I went with the 200w because it has better value (for Anker 😂), and provides nearly the same amount of power. Also, it’s still not available in Canada.
Now that I think about it, the only reason I didn’t buy the 250w is because it’s not available in Canada.
Anker never sells their cool products to Canada!! It’s unfair!

  • @PassportBrosBusinessClass
    @PassportBrosBusinessClass 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

So basically, the price of these products has been steadily rising because people want to be able to fast charge their smartphones and their gaming laptops simultaneously.
Personally, I see no reason to try and USBC charge everything simultaneously when the power draw is so high - especially from one device.
I travel annually for about a month-2 months in a row. I only fly business class.
Business class lounges normally provide a charging socket TYPE A/B so you can plug in a smartphone charger. If you have a 100W GaN adapter with 2 or 3 ports you should be able to charge your phone, smartwatch and earpods simultaneously - even though you'd probably only be charging your phone at any given time.
It makes more sense to me to use the laptop's dedicated adapter so you get a steady, pure energy flow to it alone.
In my hotel room, I want a charger with my laptop at the desk and I want a separate charger at my nightstand. That means I'll carry two 100W GaN chargers with me.
To put all this stress on just one power station is risky in my opinion.
The other issue I see is that these charging stations mostly do not have built in wireless charging for Magsafe phones on top of themselves. That to me is wasted space. I bring a magsafe pad with me because if my phone gets wet at the beach or pool, the port won't work till it dries. the magsafe WILL work however.
I can't justify $180 for these power stations till they add in wireless charging.

nice. I would like to know if via the unit or the app you could set a limit of charging wattage if lets say you only have one device plugged in to charge and you don't want to use the full capacity of that port. lets say you use a 100W port but want to charge at 50W only.

@@JohnSmith-ef8nr I'm often using my 16" MacBook and two Anker 737 on the go while working and sometimes I need to recharge them quickly. These alone draw 3x 140W. Let alone recharging my Phone, Vape, iPad, Watch etc. And a huge problem (what this Anker Prime charger seems to improve with it's smart algorithm) is that devices don't share it's power perfectly, but in fixed steps. I'm currently using an Ugreen Nexode 200W charger and it has fixed outputs. Say: If you plug in 4 USB-C devices, the 4th device always gets 20W reserved. My Vape only uses like 4, but 16W are wasted because the other ports can't use it. The third device gets 40W reserved, even if my iPhone uses just 15W on it's MagSafe charger. So I always have to juggle around the plugged in devices to do it as fast as possible. If I plugin only my MacBook and one Powerbank they both get 100W and use the maximum power of my charger. If I plugin my vape in any other port and it uses 4W, both 100W ports get downgraded to 65W. So I loose 70W by using 4W. That's why some headroom would be great so nothing is limited by other things.

Though i like me some anker stuff i think they are getting a little too big with their pricing. They do have great customer service but again their lricing is getting a little bit overboard. Baseus and ugreen are goong to swoop in and undercut them with sumiliar products

weird! I tried on my iphone and android, and it launches Chrome on my phone and takes me to the Anker website. On my desktop with Firefox, it takes me to the Anker page as well. I'm in the United States, if that matters at all.

🤷‍♂why does everyone use AI in an overloaded sense... there's no AI involved in power balancing between which devices, its part of the USB-C standard. Its how you can use a Mac charger on your mac and the same USB lead on your iPhone 15 but charge at the lesser amount of power...
I enjoyed the review, but there's nothing AI about it other than Anker (who I'm a big fan of) jumping on the PR bandwagon.

That new Anker USB-C cable sux. It would not charge the MacBook Pro at 140W and maxed out at 92W.

@@林金忠 yeah. Because you HAVE to use the special MagSafe usb c cable to get 140 watts my friend. There is no other option. Apples special cable… or 100w charging.

This needs some AI features. Like … port A is for phones and once it’s 100% or trickle charging…the power turns off until a new device is connected. So you don’t keep devices at 100% for hours while you sleep and without Any input from user

Anker are far from being the best anymore, they've become too expensive and also their efficiency rating is poor. Inui are better and more efficient and cheaper. Inui supply anker and ugreen just so everyone knows.
