By far the best folding phone in 2024 - it's the perfect aspect ratio, feels great when folded shut (razor thin). Wish the camera was a bit better, but nothing is perfect!
Hello sir I'm a subscriber of your channel, I watched your Acer swift Go 16 OLED video and in that video you said you want to give it away to someone, please sir give it to me 🙏 it's my dream to use a laptop but unfortunately I can't afford 😔 please sir you can fulfil my dream if you want,
WRONG FLAWED ANALYSIS. what happens to a beautiful hardware if there are no system support no software updates your hardware is a DEAD BRICK
@@caezarallanevangelista honor doesn't provide updates you mean? I have never used a honor before. This phones is tempting. Can you elaborate a bit more on the os updates if you have experience? Thanks
@@vallabhvj80 ask honor how many GUARANTEED YEARS of Android OS updates and security updates will they support this phone and then compare that with Samsung and Google
@@caezarallanevangelistaby various informed reviewers they state there will be four years of Google updates and Honor security updates. Perfectly fine as some manufacturers do not even go that far.
It's good to see competitors bringing it. Especially providing all the extras in the box.
I actually love this especially the crease which Samsung has a lot visible. Might get this one
Why didn't you show the most obvious thing like multi tasking? How many apps can you open next to each other? does it have floating windows capabilities like the Fold?
It does but not as polished. I believe 2 and floating apps on top.
it can handle plenty of apps together, bro .
It's very polished IMO, been using it for a month (imported from Hongkong)
You can have 2 apps split vertically or horizontally + 2 floating apps on top. Really love their multitasking features and features.
The uk deal on this insane it's £1699 with an early bird code of £300 off bringing it down to £1399 with bang oluffsen headphones they say are worth 549 but I've seen on amazon for 380 so that nearly £1000 for the phone essentially, with a pen and screen replacement for the front and the back... I've just ordered mine as I was looking for headphones to, so for me that basically means I'm paying 1000 for a foldable phone!
Honor going crazy hard on the competition with price!
Nice - solid deal!
I got this deal today so just waiting for delivery in UK curious to see how long delivery will be. Coming from iPhone 15 Pro Max. The only android I ever loved was Huawei P30 after the ban I went back to iPhone.
@KK-ol5ov yeah, I think it said something about delivery being around 11th September but I'm still waiting for an update to 👍 I never Huawei but did have the magic 6 pro, I only sent it back because it was too big. The magic v3 should be a perfect size with the 6.4 inch outer screen hopefully!
I tried to.order from the UK site due to the deals but being in Canada sucks...cant order
Just ordered mine last night, waiting for a delivery date, currently I am using a S24 ultra, not really a Samsung fan. Money value wise, the UK deal is really good.
Compare the software not only the hardware
Hardware is NOT the only consideration of buying a phone
What is covered in the warranty
Where are the service center in case of repairs
How about System support and updates
And how is this gadget fits in the overall ecosystem
Im a fan of the brand Honor love the brand..I hope to afford dis someday!
You’ll never catch Karl dead using this phone
I love what honor is doing, actually trying to innovate year over year. They should invest a bit more on software though, it still feels a bit behind compared to Samsung or Oneplus
huawei mate xt The Best Folding Phone in 2024
Honor is Huawei’s baby😂
I definitely want this phone, nice and sleek!
Not a folding phone fan but this one definitely has me interested!
AMAZING Device... Honor please can you make an ultra version with larger screen.
Provide stylus with the ultra...remove bluetooth from stylus or improve its battery life... improve the notes app too please.
I love the IR blaster which no reviewer talks about, please make sure to keep this amazing feature!!!!
Is anyone gonna actually review the phones software experience in detail?
I'm unsure which phone to purchase... The vivo x fold 3 pro (chinese rom - €1150) or the honor magic v3 (Global rom - €1500).
I live in the EU... Would appreciate your views and why you would opt for one over the other
this one is so cool.
only thing is i wonder how real world warranty repairs and support are. Also i wonder how the OS is and general day to day use.
That link you posted will not work for Canadians Karl, Canada isnt even listed in the country list or regions covered
Can you post one that we can actually use to purchase it please?
It's bizzare to think just because the product is introduced in English it's automatically targeting the US market. The world don't revolved around the US nor Europe.
Its the global version because it supports Google Play in their respective countries. Not just because it's in English...
It's a global version, Einstein. Get down from your high horse, Hoss
@@LarsRyeJeppesenApparently reading and comprehension not your strong suit. 🤣
I hope they make the next honor fold boxy in shape. This is a nice fold phone indeed..
Link to that wallpaper?
I'm not from the US but couldn' you not buy the device from Europe and get it posted to you.
Very tempting to go from my fold 5 to this, but no pen support :(
If you're thinking about buying a foldable, I would suggest waiting for the One plus open 2... Rumored to be realised in early November.
When you say early November, you mean Q1 2025 aye? Because thats the correct timeframe
@@kopkiwi08yeah he is very uniformed...everyone knows tbere will be no OP open V2 this year
@@kopkiwi08 based on other reviewers, One plus will announce the phone in early November, to link up with Snap Dragons new processor. As for the actual date for consumers, I can't say atm.
@@redstang70 not sure what you're basing your information on, but a new Open V2 will be announced this year. It may not be available purchase but it will be announced.
@@AandKs first you said released, then you said announced lol. Fairly significant difference between those two wouldn't you say? And even if it's announced who cares? If we cannot have the device in hand announcing it really doesn't matter
Hey i love ur watch what watch is this
The crease is still noticeable
I'm really considering this phone for my upgrade from my long time Apple purchases. Where is the best place to purchase one, and will they be able to be used with my AT&T wireless plan?
Can we use this phone in Canada, and where to buy ?
We can but the link he posted doesnt even work for Canadians...guess he didnt think that through at all
Also it has all the bands available here so it'll work with 5G etc.
They do have global version
aliexpress canada
This is an awesome phone. But I think foldable have pretty much peaked and whoever wants one already has one. I don't really see a huge reason for buying one. All the things can be done on a regular phone, so the larger display is mainly for games and TH-cam. Is it worth basically carrying two phones in your pocket just for those needs?
Foldables will never become the mainstream, just like smartwatches -- something extra, on the side, for those who really want it, but 90% of the people will never bother.
The one I really would have liked is 'rollable' where the overall size stays the same as normal phone i.e. 6.1 or similar, and when you need the bigger display you just roll it out.
No disrespect to Karl, but we are being bombarded with the 7 min to 10 min advertisement across the TH-cam tech community, since honor has taken this globally!, strangely their globe doesn't include US, Canada, Australia, India etc etc. The difference between chinese and 'global' is a whopping 600 to750 dollars depending on where you live. Why you are asking? They might have to pay licences which aren't given a figs egg in china, else looking at ip rights strike almost on all levels. So the prices have gone up. I'm sure if they launch in US, even more IP overlap more than 30% will be seen and will drive the prices even higher.
And the CEO is already arrogant to say we don't have competition in foldables! I saw few videos where the apparent 5000 nits of brightness screen being very dull under direct sunlight. So don't hype this device becos you were sent your unit for free. Put your hand close to your heart and say you'll pay €1900( before discount) when it's not officially launched in your country and don't have service backup if something goes wrong.
It's really well reverse engineered and looks great. When did you threw 2000 dollars for something just to look good?
nah because of Huawei incident
It does seem neat, but it's got the same problem every other modern foldable does. It's designed as a freaking Square. So all that extra screen you get when it's unfolded is basically useless when trying to watch a video. And that is the primary use case for me at least on my fold three
Facts
i dislike how all chinese phones all have circular shape on the back for the cammaras you can tell that they are all concentrating on there domsetic audience.
I respectfully disagree with this title. Please check out the Vivo Fold X 3 Pro. Camera and battery life is better than the Honor Magic V3, and on par in all other aspects too
This is called innovation, check how thin it is & this brand is very underrated but doing awesome job...Give some tips to samsung for their bulky bricks..
Hey Karl, did the Magic V3 get 5G during use in Canada. Where there any compromises from a network stand point.
How about video call? Did you noticed any poor video pictire quality especially on WhatsApp?
I'm sold, I would buy it if I afforded it🤞🏽
Does it work with T-Mobile
All this phone needed was a flat edge boxy design...😢
That speedmaster is so nice 👌
Im watching this video from uk and few comments from usa be like bruh😂
is the camera any good?
What's the software like, I haven't heard the best things about it?
is it coming to the u.s?
Already ordered arriving Monday California
@@pospower How did you order it? Doesnt seem to be an option on the Honor website
Does the internal screen open apps to individual screens or whole screen?
Both.
Will it work on Verizon in the US ?
Yes
Best folding phone is v3 pro from vivo
Real flagship camera. 5700 battery and real flagship screens and speakers
I can't seem to find any of the ai features mentioned on my V3 global like ai eraser (missing in photo edit mode), face to face translate etc. any tips how to enable it?
Is it Huawei ???
Where to buy it in Canada 🇨🇦?
Great Video, can we get through T-mobile etc and trade in deals ? Thx
it works on usa carriers but you have to buy it online through import websites
Is this an Android Enterprise compatible device?
The whole thing of folding phones being "thin" to me as a candybar shape is weird. After using the fold 6 for a while I don't notice it being too thick compared to trying thinner.
Same. Once you put a case on it, it's hard to even remember what the original phone looks like.
You no eye
@@maomingymao1433 huh
A couple questions :
1. Any security issues with using a Chinese phone, as in getting your personal info sent to the CCP?
2. Are there any bending issues, since it is so thin?
3. Does it heat up quickly from having such a compact, thin space?
iPhones are made in China as well
@@picxlmedia7856 They are assembled in China, NOT made in China. There is a very big difference.
@@picxlmedia7856Apple isn’t a company with China’s hand in it though. People need to realize the difference between manufacturing and developing. Just because the manufacturing is outsourced to China doesn’t mean it’s owned by China
@@picxlmedia7856 Not even remotely what the OP is talking about. But, sure if you say so.
@@picxlmedia7856that’s not the point. The company itself is Chinese, the code used for the OS “may” potentially have a backdoor. Whereas iPhones, only get assembled in China, anything related to software is handed elsewhere.
thats a nice speedmaster
At&t or T-Mobile?
global version works on all usa carriers
Wallpaper?
The device throttles like crazy due to how slim it is
If you put it into performance mode it doesn't. Otherwise it prioritizes coolness.
Wanna try this in Philippines 🇵🇭 When 😢
Brother this HONOR brand making there name in this smartphone industry this year🎉❤
Well... see how it really looks like after at least for the next 300 to 350 flips of this.
Interesting ❤

Cmon guys, i just bought Pixel 9 fold 😅
I wish the ui was Samsung or like google phones

You're absolutely right about STAR WARS ACOLYTE, VERY DISAPPOINTING
I enjoyed it. I wish they had a second chance to fix some of their issues.
The Acolyte was really bad what a let down my star wars!
Premier league and morning in one sentence does not sound right for me :D (europe time)
its so expensive here in australia not worth it
Stop it bro its nice but come on its chinese os global or not
How do we order this in Canada? Doesn't look like Honors website ships to Canada
usually through 3rd party providers tbh - that's the one down side
3rd party websites, so no trade in deals, warranties gonna be shady and it’s going to be more expensive due to taxes .
So the world revolves around the US, huh?
Yes
I find it, like many others, genuinely difficult to choose between the Fold 6 and the V3. I’m coming from an iPhone 13 Pro Max, and the size of the iPhone bothers me as I don’t have large hands, but I don’t want to give up a larger smartphone display. That’s why the Fold 6 is quite appealing to me.
After some analysis, I came up with the following comparison. The advantages of one device are often significant disadvantages of the competitor. It really comes down to which pros and cons matter more to you personally, in terms of which device would make you happier in the end.
Samsung
+Better-tuned camera photos
+Longer-lasting battery despite technically smaller size
+Better gaming performance despite using the same Snapdragon, but running about 4°C cooler at max temperature
+The display dims less frequently under warm sunlight
+Significantly better speakers (Especially important since, in my opinion, a tablet shouldn’t sound bad if you use it consistently)
+More refined software features
-Unfortunately, a more reflective screen
-A significantly more noticeable crease
-Worse low-light and zoom camera performance
-Slower charging
-Worse water resistance
Honor
+Thinner, but only without considering the camera bump
+Less noticeable crease
+Less reflective screen indoors
+Faster-charging battery
+Better water resistance
+Super-fast charging
-Photos often look strangely filtered/processed
-Phone gets very hot under full load
-Average gaming performance for the Gen 3
-Better display brightness, but barely visible outdoors and dims quickly under heat
-Very disappointing speakers due to the thin design (Especially noticeable when coming from an iPhone Pro Max, which sounds even better than a Samsung S24 Ultra)
-Somewhat uninspired and heavily Apple-inspired software
Personal Preferences
Slim vs. wider design
Squared vs. rounded corners
Feel free to share your thoughts! :)
All seems pretty accurate. The Chinese foldable dominate in sheer thinness and size but have some cut corners. Owner of multiple z folds, a OnePlus open, and a fold 6. OnePlus is nice because it almost splits the difference in nearing the rest of the current Chinese foldable hardware but is more practical in the US. While not as refined as the Samsung, it doesn't skimp on anything (both have the best speakers on any foldable by a wide margin--oneplus might edge it with better loudness, bass and immersiveness but Samsung's are very clear, with more presence than previous z folds, and are very pleasing to listen to once you change the EQ to a V shape, the 'dynamic' setting. Loses more loudness that way but not a touch of shrillness that even the iPhone pro maxes can have at peak volume, and there is always an app called volume booster to just blow out the mids/highs if you're into that sort of thing). The hardware on the z fold 6 is a step in the right direction and has even more of that premium Samsung feel (best hinge, super durable/tanky feeling and very tight tolerances). I like the inner glass enough now to keep the screen protector on it (tore it off the fold 4 when it started to raise and right away on the 5). They added an extra layer/substance. See below. It's weird, it doesn't contact your fingers if you keep the screen protector on like I am right now but for some reason, it seems to have improved the feel of the inner screen to where it resembles much more closely a slab phone. It's more pronounced even on the Z flip. Which is maybe somewhat logical in that the flip has a much less prominant crease this year (better than the competition now, instead of noticeably worse--wish the same visual improvements had made their way over to the fold). That phone is so solid feeling that I bet your average consumer in a blind test would have trouble telling it's not a slab phone with it's open. It's like two solid bricks that magically meld together in the middle when open. Compared to the razr 50 ultra which I also adore, the inner screen just feels so 'right' where I forget it's a foldable, something I never forget using the razr (that said, the Motorola has just a MASSIVE lead on the exterior display to the point I use them completely differently). Anyway, longwindedness aside, I think you would enjoy the fold 6 but if you're worried it won't be enough 'future tech' for you, wait for the OnePlus open 2 in something like early 2025 or look at importing the z fold 6 special edition from China/Korea allegedly coming later this month. First images leaked today and it basically just looks like a bigger fold 6. I don't want the fold 6 to be much wider without also getting the same or more in height to keep the inner screen more rectangular and less square (looking at you, pixel fold 9 pro ). That looks like exactly what they've done with the special edition's 6.5 inch outer and 8 inch inner screens.
"During Unpacked, Samsung said it developed a new Shear Thickening Fluid (STF) glue that adapts to multiple types of pressure. The STF coats the external glass layer.
According to a video Samsung played during Unpacked, the STF material allowed engineers to remove some of the foldable screen layers while “maintaining its durability and improving flatness
I have the open love it over fokd i have had three folds. But giving it up for this phone. Cant wait to get it.
Watching video on the inside screen is as wide as the outer screen. It makes 0 difference with 16:9 video 😂
having a larger display is always better! Even with black bars
Yeah fuck the iphone 16 amma get this one
If you can't beat them Sanctions them 😂🎉
Half screen display. Not worth buying
Bro , you look like Ronaldo ⚽🏆, honestly Vivo xfold 3 pro is much better and faster.
Fun fact!!!! based on systematic careful study from university of technical polytechnic of CHINA for folding phones. No Folding mobile device yet that went beyond 400 folds with out users asked for warranty exchange or insurance replacement supported data by one of U.S. Leading network carrier provider and results are very close with by at your service assurant!

I thank y'all

Christiano Ronaldo?!!
was looking for this!! lol!!
Thin.. until you put a case on it and then it's a cinder block in your pocket
This. It's funny when reviewers focus sooo much on thickness. I have an Otterbox case on my Z Fold 6. I can't even remember what the actual phone looks like now😂. With that phone being so thin, it would need a serious case.
Also, there wasn't any review as far as software. Samsung is king in this area.
Magic OS + ugly camera design = no thanks
Chinese phone always make things impossible possible.
What hair products you use for your hair ??
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

You must be mad buying Chinese crap! So glad i dont take any notice of you reviewers anymore!
Samsung is so disappointing and had fallen behind their competitors.
Nahhh not china phone anymore
😁😁😁👍👍👍
The better question is why would I want to phone made with Chinese spyware
Why is everyone reviewing a phone that’s not even available in the U.S??
Probably because they got sent it.
Exactly. What's the point? Even if they get review units , they know that most of their core viewer base won't be able to obtain this phone and use it with their carriers in North America. Maybe these reviewers should simply say these reviews are for their rest of the world viewers.
i just tried to fake buy it and it was just not ideal. also, you have to have the money up front since the wont do financing the way samsung and other companies do. also, resell values are gonna be abysmal since people want main companies for reliability/security.
@@claudiabailey5302 getting tired of these reviews (nothing towards this guy). they're all focused on the fold6 ultra and SE and im like, literally just wait until you get hardcore evidence. not rumors. or these cool chinese phones but like you gotta jump through hoops to get them and also, idk what the reliability and support on hardware and software is.
@@minusmartinwarranties too, imagine trying to RMA this phone if something were to happen, you’d be out of a phone for months unless you had a spare phone.
blah…”thinnest@ foldable if you ignore the blatantly protruding camera bump in the center. Also this phone is hella expensive. Ironic how all of the reviewers never mention price.
It has 2 screens and you can get it for 1299 gbp in the UK making it significantly cheaper than the Fold 6 and Pixel Fold 2
