This game is so great because many of us wanted to be pilots but never made it because of poor eyesight, heart problems, poor grades, unwillingness to join the military etc. I personally don't want to surrender my freedom in exchange for the chance to pilot an eagle for few years. You can't fly jets to 30 years in the air force. If you could, every 30 years the whole crop of pilots would retire and it would cripple the air force's fighting power. Instead they keep sending older pilots to a desk and bringing in young ones. The correct balance is 50% veterans and 50% new recruits. Thus at no time will the air force experience a mass retirement of pilots a year before a war. Instead the air force experiences a balanced, staggered retirement rate.
