We took a day trip to Leavenworth Bavarian Village in Washington State, a little over 2 hours outside of Seattle.
The entire town center is modeled on a Bavarian village as part of a civic initiative that began in the 1960s. The area is a major tourist destination with festivals nearly every month, including the best Oktoberfest in America.
