Quinn had no problem going on 4th down the entire game just to keep the ball in Daniels hands. on that last drive Baker marches down the field 60 yards, is 10 for 10 on his last 10 passes, averaging over 10 yards per pass. on 4th and 3 on the Commanders 14 in the redzone Todd Bowles decides to kick a field goal down 3 points with 5 minutes left. The Bucs defense didnt stop anything the entire game, didnt even force a punt, yet Bowles was willing to bet the game on his defense and not his QB. This is why Todd Bowles is a DC and not a HC. A clear difference between him and the Dan Quinn's of the world. When folks talk about Bowles, they only talk about the defensive side of the ball, forgetting that he's not just the DC. The decision to kick a field goal in a playoff game in that moment is a HC decision that Dan Quinn would have never made, Andy Reid would have never made that decision. Good/great HC's would not have taken the ball out of their QB's hands down 3 points , 14 yards away from the endzone, 3 yards away from a first down and their QB just trucked Bobby Wagner to tie the game at half. Coaching and defense is killing this team.
