Coen would have been the bucs head coach in one more year. Now he will be with a bad team with a questionable quarter back. May last two years in Jacksonville , and then will be looking for a new job. But then teams wont trust him, and will not want to bother with him.Bad move on his part.

Jacksonville is nothing like the Bucs, we all know the difference between these teams. Coen better hope they ca fix that defense and get better offensive players to run that offense otherwise Coen will be looking for another job, and after what he did to the Bucs he may never get another interview in the NFL. It Is clear that Bucs fans are hurt and no one outside of Tampa care lol, but not a single one of them would turn down a promotion of 4.5mil a year to 13mil or more. Especially knowing the way this league works, as an OC on a team showing no loyalty to their HC he wasn't guaranteed more than a year at a time and maaaaybe might get the HC job (just look at Bobby Slowik in houston). Or know you can go take the best open job in the in NFL which every one agrees was the Jags without Baalke, and get multiple years guaranteed double digits. The only reason it had to be "shady" was the Bucs wording in the contract they offered, so still Tampas fault.

The Bucs loss is on Todd Bowles. Dan Quinn showed that he's willing to trust his QB 100%. Baker Mayfield has shown that he can get the job done for the Bucs. Quinn had no problem going on 4th down the entire game just to keep the ball in Daniels hands. on that last drive Baker marches down the field 60 yards, is 10 for 10 on his last 10 passes, averaging over 10 yards per pass. on 4th and 3 on the Commanders 14 in the redzone Todd Bowles decides to kick a field goal down 3 points with 5 minutes left. The Bucs defense didnt stop anything the entire game, didnt even force a punt, yet Bowles was willing to bet the game on his defense and not his QB. This is why Todd Bowles is a DC and not a HC. A clear difference between him and the Dan Quinn's of the world. When folks talk about Bowles, they only talk about the defensive side of the ball, forgetting that he's not just the DC. The decision to kick a field goal in a playoff game in that moment is a HC decision that Dan Quinn would have never made, Andy Reid would have never made that decision. Good/great HC's would not have taken the ball out of their QB's hands down 3 points , 14 yards away from the endzone, 3 yards away from a first down and their QB just trucked Bobby Wagner to tie the game at half. Coaching and defense is killing this team.
