I appreciate his answer about Odin. From an outside perspective, he better fits another Norse god, as I choose to see it. Einar's insight into the runes, their meanings, his craft with blending nature and natural sounds into music played on instruments from nature, and the lyrics he writes to reflect those things, demonstrates an absolute gift as a writer and artist. He even said, having another career he would choose to be a poet (for the love of Odin, do it Einar). He is the modern incarnation of Bragi. I am thankful for it.

I wish I could meet him or him comany me a woman who plans to visit soon alone, to give me tour of Norway. He'd be like yes. But we must do it barefoot 😅
Inu Alejandro well that’s a matter of opinion now, for real. Justin might not be the most original or particularly, but i can definitely say that enjoy a couple of his songs, cause they’re just... nicely written.
@@CelticCatholic I do. I love it so much! I listen to Wardruna, Heilung, Danheim, SKÁLD and a few songs from other creators. Heilung and especially Wardruna with Einar puts me on that spiritual level and it feels like I'm beeing close to the gods when concentrating on listening, even tho I'm not a religious person and don't believe in any god but this is really giving me chills and brings me close to them. Lyfjaberg and Grá are my favourites of Wardruna und for Heilung it's Norupo
@@CelticCatholic Yeah it makes me shut down all my problems and realize how fucked up the world is actually and feel like giving a fuck about everything and just doing what I want because it's my life. Based on modern standards (although the standards of cleanliness still vary nowadays) Vikings were still dirty. But maybe if we compare them specifically to other Germanic people of that period, they were cleaner or equally dirty? Still, they had various habits that don't actually show they were clean. More like symbolically clean. Communal washing of the face and hands from the same bowl of water, or pissing and shitting everywhere or in open holes in the ground, not washing after fucking, bathing once a week, having fleas and lice, throwing food scraps in the backyard etc. So, not exactly a misconception. Also, trimming the facial hair and wearing bling is not actually a sign of cleanliness. Anyway, all of (Northern and Central) Europe in the middle ages was a shithole. Literally. So, the misconception is that they didn't stand out in dirtyness. Mediterranean people were actually cleaner.
@Dalle Smalhals "We had a lot of water=we were clean". Bravo, dear sir. Now that 2018 is ending, your brain turd wins the award of the year. You could have waited for 2019 though, you would still get first place. :)
Such a unique person. You can see it in his answers, very humble, direct and honest.
He is very humble and down to Earth in person too. Such a lovely man an a great personality to represent Heathenry.
Been a fan since his Gorgoroth days.

He's in a band with a openly proud homosexual. Not sure he knows too much about ancient Scandinavian belief or customs.

Metal originated from somewhere, you know.
Crazy to think he went from brutal blast beats surrounded by crucified naked people and severed sheep heads to making epic atmospheric viking music

Good interview!! Wise answers!! Awesome music!! Great singer!! Everything is ok!! Wow!! 👍😉 Greetings from Spain.
Einar Selvik is an awesome musician, and really rather hot (I like strongly built bearded men). He's the exact polar opposite of Justin Bieber!
Sarah Gray listen, i get it, but people need to stop hating on Justin Bieber, he’s not an annoying kid now.

If i had only one question to ask, how he did for growing that beard braid?
It's been years i try to get one like that, but it refuse to grow.
