  • In this video I walked around with a camera in the Beacon Food Forest. The Beacon Food Forest is located on Beacon Hill in Seattle, Washington. In this video you will see the grapes, figs, apples, pears, mulberries, kiwis, thornless blackberries, raspberries, gooseberries, mushrooms, vegetables, herbs, and much more that were flourishing in the Beacon Food Forest in the summer of 2017. The Beacon Food Forest grows everything using permaculture techniques. If you are in the Seattle area please feel free to join the volunteers who have built out this majestic permaculture food forest.

    Love this place!
What you called "Thornless Blackberry" looks like a raspberry, and what you called "Black Currant" a moment later is Aronia - much yummier cooked, or after frost.

What variety were the blackberries and mulberries they had there?

Joey Eng I would have to check the labels. I do not believe they actually labeled the cultivar though. For blackberries, most sellers don't even offer two cultivares. I'm sure there are actually more, but I have only seen one cultivar of thorn less blackberries for sale.
