    Before I got my gel plate, I used a page protector, cut apart, and placed on a hard, smooth surface for smooth designs. It worked fine, as long as you didn't use too much paint. You may want to give that a try. I also have friends who use a stiff acetate sheet, and pull prints from that. Thanks for the video.

    I did a tag last week with a cricut mat package, it came out just like yours with the ziplock only it also pulled the texture from the table I was working on. It turned out cool but I did order a gel plate. Thank you for showing the comparison!! I'll be glad to have the option to do either one going forward. The technique after it dries and lifts .... wow, you said it! Magic 😊

    Thank you for sharing your experiment, even though I have a gel plate, I might try this for a different look. Before I got the gel plate, I covered 3 layers of fun foam with saran wrap for a gel plate, it worked ok, but of course wasn't as yummy as a gel plate.

    I would try it with the bag open if you don’t like the out come!
