    i recently started using this machine and i have couple of questions.
    1- When i scann a patient's arm band, the only data captured is MR number but nothing else, i want MRN, name, Physician name etc to be appeared.
    2- I enter the orders in SCM but no orders are populated in "orders" area
    3- Once the EKG is completed, it automatically transmits to muse. If i do not have internet, where does it store those EKGs?
    I need help in this regard please

      I am not actually affiliated with GE, so I can’t say for certain with these questions but I’ll try to point you in the right direction based on what I know. If you work at st Mary’s feel free to come down to my office in the nursing office and we can sort things out with biomed and the GE rep is we need to. 1) that is probably either that the machine is only programmed to upload theMRN by your facility (this is something that can be changed depending on what the facility wants to happen so your IT or biomed team can change it if that’s the plan) or possibly you are scanning the wrong code. At my facility we have multiple scannable QR code’s and barcodes on a wrist band and each is encoded with different information. If you’re scanning the wrong code, that could be the issue. 2) again sounds like a system issue. And I don’t remember off the top of my head how to actively go in to retrieve the orders if they aren’t auto populating. But assuming your system is connected to your charting system, you should be able to retrieve them, it may take a bit extra work though. 3) if connection is bad or it’s missing required patient information it won’t send the file to muse, but it will hold it on the machines hard drive until the issue is resolved and then it will upload it to the muse system (or that’s my understanding)

    Does this machine save the EKG's? If so how many does it save and how do you remove them from the cart?

      It does have memory built into it. If it cannot connect to the computer system to transmit, or if the required information isn’t filled out completely the machine will store it on its memory until it is cleared manually or it is able to transmit the ekg to the network. My understanding is Once it’s transmitted it will no longer store it on the machine itself, and will automatically be removed.
      I’ve been removed from this machine for a bit, so I don’t remember the steps to remove stored ekgs. I’ll try to look into this and get back to you. (I’m not a ge rep, I’m just a nurse educator for a facility that uses this machine)

    How to remove the spacer inside the paper tray to change the paper size?

      I'm not sure on this. I am not affiliated with GE, I just utilize this machine at my hospital. We have never needed to change the paper size, so I can't speak to this process. I'm sorry.
