Since peeps may skip the credits, I just wanted yall to know that one of the FX teams they got for this series is the same team that worked on The Mandalorian, The Avengers movies, and X Men movies to name a few. That's a HUGE deal. We dont see this level of effects in kdramas normally. It seems Studio Dragon shelled out the goods with this Netflix partnership. I really appreciate them not skimping. I only found out about this because I'm subbed to The Swoon so now I'm gonna read the webtoon! Edit: The FX studio is Legacy Effects. I shoulda put that in the original post my bad

The part where the main character became a monster, it almost looks identical to when Kaneki's girl from Tokyo Ghoul turned bloodlust with the wings. I love it.
This series is so good it is my favorite horror series, without a doubt all the work that the actors went through and the whole team that created the monsters was worth it, they look so real that they make you feel that one of them is going to attack you haha
This drama not only has an extensive storyline, every character has their own identity. Everyone plays a significant part in developing the main character's emotion and each has their own story to tell. So much as that with each sacrifice, I hoped they would turn and be like Hyun Su, as their front line and battle against the monsters. The details on the set, the monster and everything are really 👍. Hope for more seasons to come and may everyone who survive has a good ending.
People are dying left and right and usually that would piss me off but in this series I get it i absolutely loved it I binged watched it already and I’m waiting on season 2 and I’m about to go read the webtoon

The actors are really great, their acting, their facial expressions, everything was really good. I knew lee do hyun before in 18 again , but the rest of the actors this is the first time seeing them, but I loved them very much.

Hands down one of the best netflix originals. The special effects were amazing on par with big budget hollywood film. The hard work all the actors, writers, special effects, lighting, camera men etc. the whole team came together to create a masterpiece. I am hoping for a season 2 of this .

The director was the one who directed The descendent of the sun, goblin, Mr sunshine so It itself is a great series. Also all the actor and actress did such a great job. Plot and monster makeup looks so fine. Lots of money has must been invested. Highly recommended series. Watch before 2020 ends. I'm eagerly waiting for season 2 to realese soon. The director is such a professional person. I saw director helping crew a lot with plot. Totally 2020 best series so far.

I got goosebumps every time I saw a monster come in, because they looked so similar to the webtoon ones! The blind guy, protein monster and even the slime one! The visuals was just *"chef's kiss"* .

Honest opinion here: the more I read the webtoon, the more I am impressed and amazed by the TV adaptation. The TV adaptation is able to bring out all the vivid scenes with real people and monsters that are SO REAL while staying true to the drawings in webtoon. I understand that the sequences and details are different and this is why we have to read the webtoon AS WELL. While we are able to understand the backstory and the meaning behind the monsters more by reading the webtoon, the TV show is concise and really brings the story to life and I am speechless… it’s an excellent production with the most impressive cast and I look forward to the new season of Sweet Home.
I haven't watch the series but maybe due to changes they made to the storyline (as most spoilers said) in the series esp the ending that caused the cliffhanger. I still prefer the ending in the webtoon even tho most of the characters didn't survive.

Both hyuk and hyun turned into the cocoons but only hyun was shown getting out of it. The monster in the human form weren't supposed to have feeling or emotion but hyun did.. He went to meet the remaining survivors at a camp and they were surprised since he recognize them after turning into monster. Or maybe he able to resist his desire that he manage to gain human feeling, emotion and even his memories from before he turn Not sure if you understand what I'm saying because idk how to explain perfectly 😅 and english isn't my first language. Also, i don't want to say this but i kinda read it from unofficial website 🙂

@Nur M I can clearly remember the screen looking very Virtual reality CGI during the scene during so 2/3 where they show all the monsters outside of the apartment. Also a few fight scenes like for a few seconds you could nitpick on the CGI but it was amazing none the less (I only work in Animation so I can’t explain much)
I was a huge fan of the WEBTOON and when I found they were making a Netflix adaptation... I was so excited and I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! The series is so intriguing and so amazingly made. I suggest you watch it on Netflix.

I was kinda sad that it wasn't EXACTLY like the webtoon - adding new characters, changing how some characters die, or replacing some to kinda spread it out. But grain of salt since it was BASED on the webtoon. it was still one of the best adaptations I've watched, like seriously happy with the amount of effort they put in to add the monsters and everything. Can't wait for the second season! And if they could maaaaybe pick up Bastard and Pigpen, that would be insanely amazing.

I actually liked how the CGI wasn't incredibly realistic. It gave me those old school horror/thriller vibes that I really love.
The patient one really got me we can see their eyes which kinda looked sad to me plus no hair probably was ill before they turned.

I'm so impressed with the use of costumes, makeup and prosthetics! As opposed to relying heavily/fully on CGI

Hands down the best kdrama with 10 episodes experience. I read the webtoon and used to think what if they make a drama about this. The result does not disappoint

Wow, I'm so speechless. From the first time I watched the trailer, I thought it was like a Hollywood movie and it turned out to be true, according to my expectations 👌🏻 it's an amazing drama! 🥳😍😭
And even with all this there are still people who think the show looks bad, people Ive shown it to go "it looks soo unrealistic"

I already watch the whole episode and it was really superb..the actors as well as the visual effect is really amazing..i cried and got scared at the same time..its a roller coaster emotion..

Honest opinion here: the more I read the webtoon, the more I am impressed and amazed by the TV adaptation. The TV adaptation is able to bring out all the vivid scenes with real people and monsters that are SO REAL while staying true to the drawings in webtoon. I understand that the sequences and details are different and this is why we have to read the webtoon AS WELL. While we are able to understand the backstory and the meaning behind the monsters more by reading the webtoon, the TV show is concise and really brings the story to life and I am speechless… it’s an excellent production with the most impressive cast and I look forward to the new season of Sweet Home.

I haven't watch the series but maybe due to changes they made to the storyline (as most spoilers said) in the series esp the ending that caused the cliffhanger. I still prefer the ending in the webtoon even tho most of the characters didn't survive.

@@oneoftaeyongsfebreeze2251 not sure if hyuk survive in the series because i haven't watch yet but in the webtoon, it's safe to say he turned into the monster in the human form (in the webtoon the came out from the cocoons).. Both hyuk and hyun turned into the cocoons but only hyun was shown getting out of it. The monster in the human form weren't supposed to have feeling or emotion but hyun did.. He went to meet the remaining survivors at a camp and they were surprised since he recognize them after turning into monster. Or maybe he able to resist his desire that he manage to gain human feeling, emotion and even his memories from before he turn

The first half was so damn good, then they cut out all the monsters and plot from the rest of the webtoon :(
Really gotta take it to them. The monsters in the live-action version really do look like the ones from the original webtoon series.

@Nur M I can clearly remember the screen looking very Virtual reality CGI during the scene during so 2/3 where they show all the monsters outside of the apartment. Also a few fight scenes like for a few seconds you could nitpick on the CGI but it was amazing none the less (I only work in Animation so I can’t explain much)
I was a huge fan of the WEBTOON and when I found they were making a Netflix adaptation... I was so excited and I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! The series is so intriguing and so amazingly made. I suggest you watch it on Netflix.

Omg, i can really recommend this serie it was just amazing, all of the episodes. Incredible work of all the team. Song Kang, i just fall in love again. Without a doubt, one of my favorite drama in the year.
I was kinda sad that it wasn't EXACTLY like the webtoon - adding new characters, changing how some characters die, or replacing some to kinda spread it out. But grain of salt since it was BASED on the webtoon. it was still one of the best adaptations I've watched, like seriously happy with the amount of effort they put in to add the monsters and everything. Can't wait for the second season!
And if they could maaaaybe pick up Bastard and Pigpen, that would be insanely amazing.
I read somewhere that its the webtoon artist that wanted the adaption to not be exactly like the webtoon, so yeah....
@@emminy7222 I'd imagine! The webtoon wasn't even done when they were doing the script and shared it with him. I'm just being nitpicky haha. It could've turned out horribly, but they still managed to stay somewhat true to it and make it awesome. 😁
