The thing about Jackie Chan is that he actually does the stunts. He doesn't rely on camera angles or CGI. The man actually has the skill and the perseverence to get it done, which the out-takes are a great tribute to that. He (and others) sometimes get hurt to entertain us, but he accepts that cost. What a legend. Also, Jackie Chan convinced Chris Tucker to do a lot of his stunts himself. I love this film and the bloopers at the end are the icing on the cake.
They already mentioned that Jackie does his own stunts. However, when doing Chinese movies, he did ALL of his stunts with no nets, scaffolding or any other "helper" devices, but he could NOT do that in America because the insurance would not allow it, so he only does SOME of his stunts "unaided" when doing movies here meaning, there are either "helper" devices or other ways to protect him from harm. He's still amazing, but just wanted to correct bit of info so others wouldn't get the wrong idea, impression or facts.
My husbands dad actually worked with Jackie Chan as another stuntman in a bunch of Hong Kong/Chinese movies 20 or so years ago and he said Jackie Chan was always so sincere and humble. Great guy, hilarious and talented actor! Much props to Jackie Chan for always doing his own stunts.
The real mind blowing thing about Jackie is that this movie came out towards the tail end of his stunt/acting career. He was already banged up and not really in his prime at this point. The stuff he was doing in the 80s and early 90s was truly superhuman.
And YES HE DID ACTUALLY DO THAT FALL AT THE END!! That was all him! That was nothing compared to his other movies! I see he’s actually fallen off one of the biggest skyscrapers in China and grabbed onto a helicopter in mid air! He has jumped a motorcycle onto a moving train! He has done plenty of movies where he has fallen from big heights! But that has come with a cost! In the early years, he really destroyed his body! Jackie went to the hospital so many times that insurance companies would not insure him in China to make movies! It’s so fascinating his life! He’s almost like a dancer in his martial arts technique! Some of that shows in this movie, with the gracefulness in some of his moves! You definitely need to watch the other two rush hours! And always remember with the Jackie Chan movies to stay and watch to the end of the credits, because there is always a stunt, blooper reel put into the film! It shows you how dangerous stunts really were! It even shows in one of his movies stunt it almost killed him! Definitely watch the next to rush hours! You won’t be right down.
The skyscraper was in Rotterdam. The motorcycle jump was made by Michelle Yoeh...jackie jumped a motorcycle off a loading dock, then jumped from the bike in mid air onto a large bale suspended by a crane. He also snowboarded off snow mountain on to a hovering helicopter's skid

Jackie Chan has done some INSANE stunts. He literally almost died trying to do one, when he fractured his skull. He was rushed to the hospital, and had to surgically put something in his head, like a plug. Another time he was doing a scene where he was supposed to grab a metal pole and slide down, with lights that wrapped around it, in one take. However, because of the heat from the lights, he suffered second degree burns, not to mention he fell through glass and missed the padding that was supposed to catch him. Good thing this was the end of the movie. Because he was out of commission for a while. The list of injuries he has had is staggering.
He was filming police story at night and Heart of Dragon during the day. After the pole slide scene, he celebrated with cast & crew then immediately got in a car, fell asleep and was transported to the set of Heart of Dragon. When he woke up, he discovered that his hands wouldn't work and couldn't open the car door. He also had no energy, and had difficulty moving. He was taken to the hospital. He had 2nd degree burns on his hands, damaged vertabrae, and a dislocated pelvis...
At one time they wanted Jackie Chan to be the next Bruce Lee, but they realized that he's a better comedy action actor than serious suspenseful action actor
His contract was with Lo Wei who was involved with the Triads. At that time, Jackie was 20 - 22 years old and bound by contract to play whatever part Lo told him to do. Jackie ran away once and was brought back by Lo's wife, whom he called mother. Lo loaned Jackie out to make the movies Jackie wanted to do but when Jackie broke his contract and signed with Golden Harvest, Lo sent Triads after Jackie and Willie Chan hid him out in America until the situation was resolved.
Jay Leno and Pat Morita made a low-budget action flick back in the '80s set in Detroit. Don't remember the title of the film, but I remember it had one of the most ridiculous (and hilarious) stunts I've ever seen; Pat Morita doing a karate kick through a car windshield.
The stunts in this movie were very watered down for Jackie Chan standards because it's an American film. Hollywood films don't allow Jackie to take risks because of insurance issues. Jackie's 80s movies in Hong Kong have some of the most insane stunts. If you guys ever get the chance, watch Police Story 1 and Project A. The stuntwork is insane.
The "war scene" is one of the most greatest, iconic, memorable, and funniest scenes in the whole entire movie and cinema due to Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan's contagious and inseparable chemistry as they can't resist each other. It never gets old.😍😎👍💯😏🤣

Everyone wanted him to be the next Bruce Lee because of his martial arts abilities but he wanted to be more entertaining so he mixed it with those influences. Instead of being the next Bruce Lee he was the first Jackie Chan
I've been pretty down the last few weeks, after my 8-y/o mini Dachshund, Murphy, lost his battle with cancer (after fighting it for just over a year), and it's been tough trying to find things to laugh about or even smile about. Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan killed it in these movies and they remain my favorite in the "buddy cop" movie genre. The second movie was just as great. Third was meh, but still worth a watch.
Ohhhhh man. This movie is classic like a pair of Reeboks. There was a time when I was able to recite this entire movie word for word….. Maybe I still can lol. The whole trilogy is hella fun, but for me nothing really topped the first movie.
I saw this in a packed theater on opening night in 1998. All ages and races.. nobody getting offended, just everyone having a great time and laughing their asses off. One of the most fun theatergoing experiences I’ve ever had.
Asia and BJ, this is nothing compared to Jackie Chan's older Hong Kong movies where he and his team had full control over the action scenes. He can do all of that and even more. He was unhinged, getting blacklisted from insurance companies, sending himself to the hospital, breaking his body all the time and still having the endurance to film the scenes anyways. The guy even forced himself to fall on fiery coals several times to catch a perfect 10 second scene. I know no other actor who would jump off the side off a side scraper, fall several stories while getting electrocuted, having light bulbs explode on him, or grab onto a helicopter midair. He also hit and got hit for real in his fights with Benny "The Jet" Urquidez. Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker are the perfect comedic duo. I'm glad you two enjoyed the movie and look forward to your reaction to the sequels.
God, ALL the one-liners in this movie are hysterical. Chris Tucker was on fire with the comedy in this movie. Through the whole trilogy, I think Tucker was at his funniest with this flick.... "Clive, thank you man! Next visit, I'm come back here and bring your fat-ass some cookies, man!" LOL.... While his action was solid in this movie, I think Jackie got to showcase his physicality and fighting prowess in "Rush Hour 2".

"rumble in the bronx" was the first jackie chan movie i saw in the theatre. it is fantastic. that movie is what led me to become a huge jackie chan fan. in it he fights with ladders, pinball machines, and even refrigerators.
Its crazy but recently there was a video of Jackie and i think his daughter watching his own stunts through the years and they both were very emotional over it. Jackie sacraficied alot to get where he is now hes a living legend.

Checkout Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights both starring Jackie and Owen Wilson. They have the same partner theme although not as good as the Rush Hour trilogy, but still pretty good.
If you didn't know, Jackie Chan was in Cannonball run. Cannonball Run starred, Burt Reynolds and Dom Deluise. It's a funny race across the country movie that I think you guys will love.
I love that y’all are watching movies that we loved when we were younger. There’s some really good movies out there from the 80s and 90s as you can see. They didn’t rely on CGI to still make great movies. They may be a bit antiquated, by today’s standards at least. But they’re still really good. I might be in the minority here, but I would love to see you watch Better of Dead with John Cusack. It’s downright stupid, campy funny. Another minority here, but Grosse Pointe Blank was pretty damn funny too. I suggest those.

One of the reasons for the funny dialogues is also because the director and Chris enjoyed giving lines to Jackie for fun since he doesn't know what they mean. I'm sure that made brainstorming offensive scenes into comedy very easy throughout the movie.
This is one of those franchises I can watch over and over and is never not hilarious and fun. Classic stuff, wish they would do one last one before their too old.
I looked it up Jackie Chan did everything he was almost crushed by the metal shipping containers his head barely cleared and he did the curtain fall at the museum but it was actually a thicker material and shorter fall bc if he landed from a 50 ft drop onto that it collapsed so yeah I thought I'd let you know
Jackie Chan does not only do his own stunts, he holds the world record for most stunts performed by a living actor as well as most movie credits in a film. He was the writer, producer, executive producer, director, lead actor, cinematographer, stuntman, stunt coordinator, art director, unit production manager, catering coordinator, gaffer, composer and he sang the title song for the movie "Chinese Zodiac".
Chris Tucker had such a great run after Friday with the Rush Hour series, Fifth Element, and Money Talks. Then he just kinda disappeared. RIP to Elizabeth Peña tho.
Someone else mentioned that Chris Tucker was Michael Jackson’s friend… they were really close! Chris Tucker’s voice was actually in the beginning of “You Rock My World” by MJ and he was in the music video too (which is hilarious and like a movie, you should do a reaction to it). He was really hurt when MJ died and was of course at the funeral as well. To this day he’s still in touch with MJ’s family.
This was Jackies first movie where he had to actually try and speak a lot of English. Where he really didn't speak at all. His English was like barely 60%
3 parts of this movie that really make me crack up laughing are: 1. When Carter starts dancing like Michael Jackson in the middle of the street after blowing the car up 2. When Lee and Carter are bonding and practicing disarming techniques while Edwin Starr's song "War" plays in the background 3. When Carter says "I know that ain't the bomb. Get that bomb away from me." Towards the end And Trust me, the blooper reels for the remaining two movies are just as funny when it comes to the slip-ups with the dialogue.
Definitely one of my favorite reactions to one of my favorite action comedy franchises. Jackie and Chris have so much chemistry. Can’t wait to see your reactions to Rush Hour 2 and 3 and the bloopers.
The female cop was played by Elizabeth Pena. She passed away at 55. She comes out in La Bamba the story of Ritchie Valens. A movie I recommend to react to.
Shanghai Noon is another excellent Jackie Chan flick, with Owen Wilson instead of Chris Tucker, but the same kind of comedy...in a western setting. So glad y'all liked Rush Hour, though. They're all really good.

The bomb is is attached to a vest with material that can be cut away; like the shoulder straps and side seams. It’s never made any sense to me that somehow cutting along a threaded seam would detonate any attached wires if they tried to remove the vest itself.
Thx! Actually this 1998 version of Jackie Chan is kind of like LeBron James now. Still very good, but the really amazing athleticism and stunts happened in the past. For Jackie it was the 80s-mid 90s. There are plenty of good compilations of Jackie Chan's greatest stunts on TH-cam. Even if you don't react to the videos, you should check them out. You can see him actually risk his life hanging from a helicopter or jumping from building to building.
Back when mp3s were new.. there were loads of soundboard based prank phonecalls spreading around Napster. Of course, Arnold Schwarzenegger was the classic.. but the Chris Tucker ones from Rush Hour were also amazing. Such a great film and buddy cop partnership. I think I first saw it when I bought the DVD about 2000
The out-takes at the end are something you will find at the end of almost all of the Jackie Chan movies since "Dragon Lord" 1982, sometimes they include him or one of his stunt team getting seriously hurt. You can see how dedicated to making a film he is, in the 1985 film "Rumble in The Bronx" he does about half the film and a lot of stunts with a plaster cast on his foot and lower leg (covered up by wardrobe to look like his other shoe).
If you don't think that was Jackie Chan hanging way up there. You need to see more Jackie Chan movies. I like that the show the bloopers at the end. Jackie knows kids will get excited and try to copy him. The bloopers show just how dangerous his stunts and fight scenes really are.
Oh wow! I looked up the meaning in English translation of Juntao. It means a male body part that impregnates. Also when that blonde Asian guy tells Carter to wipe his mouth he’s bleeding. At the end when Carter kills the blonde and he throws a handkerchief and tells him to wipe off he’s dead.
In case no one mentioned this, Jackie Chan actually did the fall onto the giant banner. I saw the stunt being done on TV. While it was amazing, he has done crazier stunts than this. If you watch more Jackie Chan movies, (Druken Master, Rumble in the Bronx,...), he shows all the stunts that went wrong. There is another special or TH-cam clip that shows all the serious injuries and broken bones that he suffered.

One thing to remember guys is that Jackie Chan always has bloopers at the end of his movies and yes, he does all his own stunt especially in Hong Kong movies. He slid down a building, slid down a pole full of lights that were on, hanging from a helicopter ladder and climbed a giant bulldozer to name a few. You want to miss the blooper. Also, way back when Jackie played a henchman in Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon and Bruce accidentally hit or kicked Jackie for real. It's a if you blink, you'll miss it scene. Bruce was very apologetic about it cause he was a cool dude like that.
1st movie I saw Jackie Chan in was Rumble in the Bronx. At the end they showed how he broke his foot doing 1 of his stunts. Also showed a few times where he got hurt or accidentally hurt sum1 else.

I know a lot of Americans for some reason turn there nose up at the thought of eating eel... but it is so good. It's been a delicacy in Europe for hundreds of years and a staple in Asian cuisine. Sushi fans know what I'm talking about. I mean... it's just a long fish. You don't think eating fish is strange, do you?
Agreed, it is in fact my favorite sushi, whether its unagi (freshwater eel) or anago (seawater eel) you can't go wrong with it. Most restaurants make it with BBQ sauce or teriyaki but both are delicious.

Taxi driver that pulled a gun on them is legendary martial artist "Judo" Gene Lebell. One of the toughest dudes ever and competed in MMA style fights waaaay before Art Davie even thought about making the UFC. Judo Gene made Steven Seagal crap his pants and he was Ronda Rouseys mentor throughout her martial arts career. Legend.
I also went to the theaters to see this back in the day. Ppl crackin up from beginning to end. Nobody sensitive about the jokes. What a time to be alive.
I'm so excited that you watched this! This is such a great franchise and you're right that Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan just go together so freaking well. The comedy and action blend between them is so perfectly balanced. And if you liked this movie then you're going to love the next even more. if you think Rush Hour one is crazy, wait until you watch Rush Hour 2 and 3
Great trilogy, but this one is a classic and one of the all time great comedies, especially in the buddy cop category.
2 is the best. They figured out the formula completely in that one. 3 is still good, but definitely needed some fresh material

The stunts in this movie were very watered down for Jackie Chan standards because it's an American film. Hollywood films don't allow Jackie to take risks because of insurance issues. Jackie's 80s movies in Hong Kong have some of the most insane stunts. If you guys ever get the chance, watch Police Story 1 and Project A. The stuntwork is insane.
Rumble in the Bronx had pretty crazy stunts, and that was a Hollywood film

The "war scene" is one of the most greatest, iconic, memorable, and funniest scenes in the whole entire movie and cinema due to Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan's contagious and inseparable chemistry as they can't resist each other. It never gets old.😍😎👍💯😏🤣
Jackie Chan saw some of the American silent film greats from the 1920s when he was young and was a big fan, comedies with some really dangerous stunts performed by actors like Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd. Everyone wanted him to be the next Bruce Lee because of his martial arts abilities but he wanted to be more entertaining so he mixed it with those influences. Instead of being the next Bruce Lee he was the first Jackie Chan
I've been pretty down the last few weeks, after my 8-y/o mini Dachshund, Murphy, lost his battle with cancer (after fighting it for just over a year), and it's been tough trying to find things to laugh about or even smile about. Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan killed it in these movies and they remain my favorite in the "buddy cop" movie genre. The second movie was just as great. Third was meh, but still worth a watch.

Ohhhhh man. This movie is classic like a pair of Reeboks. There was a time when I was able to recite this entire movie word for word….. Maybe I still can lol. The whole trilogy is hella fun, but for me nothing really topped the first movie.
Part 2 is damn good but part 1 is lightning in a bottle.

I saw this in a packed theater on opening night in 1998. All ages and races.. nobody getting offended, just everyone having a great time and laughing their asses off. One of the most fun theatergoing experiences I’ve ever had.
And it still is today. Helps to know the difference between race jokes, slights, and verbal expressions of immature intolerance
Asia and BJ, this is nothing compared to Jackie Chan's older Hong Kong movies where he and his team had full control over the action scenes. He can do all of that and even more. He was unhinged, getting blacklisted from insurance companies, sending himself to the hospital, breaking his body all the time and still having the endurance to film the scenes anyways. The guy even forced himself to fall on fiery coals several times to catch a perfect 10 second scene. I know no other actor who would jump off the side off a side scraper, fall several stories while getting electrocuted, having light bulbs explode on him, or grab onto a helicopter midair. He also hit and got hit for real in his fights with Benny "The Jet" Urquidez. Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker are the perfect comedic duo. I'm glad you two enjoyed the movie and look forward to your reaction to the sequels.

God, ALL the one-liners in this movie are hysterical. Chris Tucker was on fire with the comedy in this movie. Through the whole trilogy, I think Tucker was at his funniest with this flick.... "Clive, thank you man! Next visit, I'm come back here and bring your fat-ass some cookies, man!" LOL.... While his action was solid in this movie, I think Jackie got to showcase his physicality and fighting prowess in "Rush Hour 2".

"rumble in the bronx" was the first jackie chan movie i saw in the theatre. it is fantastic. that movie is what led me to become a huge jackie chan fan. in it he fights with ladders, pinball machines, and even refrigerators.
"Drunken Master" is my first Jackie Chan movie.

Its crazy but recently there was a video of Jackie and i think his daughter watching his own stunts through the years and they both were very emotional over it. Jackie sacraficied alot to get where he is now hes a living legend.

Checkout Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights both starring Jackie and Owen Wilson. They have the same partner theme although not as good as the Rush Hour trilogy, but still pretty good.

If you didn't know, Jackie Chan was in Cannonball run. Cannonball Run starred, Burt Reynolds and Dom Deluise. It's a funny race across the country movie that I think you guys will love.

I love that y’all are watching movies that we loved when we were younger. There’s some really good movies out there from the 80s and 90s as you can see. They didn’t rely on CGI to still make great movies. They may be a bit antiquated, by today’s standards at least. But they’re still really good. I might be in the minority here, but I would love to see you watch Better of Dead with John Cusack. It’s downright stupid, campy funny. Another minority here, but Grosse Pointe Blank was pretty damn funny too. I suggest those.

One of the reasons for the funny dialogues is also because the director and Chris enjoyed giving lines to Jackie for fun since he doesn't know what they mean. I'm sure that made brainstorming offensive scenes into comedy very easy throughout the movie.
This is one of those franchises I can watch over and over and is never not hilarious and fun. Classic stuff, wish they would do one last one before their too old.
I looked it up Jackie Chan did everything he was almost crushed by the metal shipping containers his head barely cleared and he did the curtain fall at the museum but it was actually a thicker material and shorter fall bc if he landed from a 50 ft drop onto that it collapsed so yeah I thought I'd let you know

Jackie Chan does not only do his own stunts, he holds the world record for most stunts performed by a living actor as well as most movie credits in a film.
He was the writer, producer, executive producer, director, lead actor, cinematographer, stuntman, stunt coordinator, art director, unit production manager, catering coordinator, gaffer, composer and he sang the title song for the movie "Chinese Zodiac".
Chris Tucker had such a great run after Friday with the Rush Hour series, Fifth Element, and Money Talks. Then he just kinda disappeared. RIP to Elizabeth Peña tho.
Someone else mentioned that Chris Tucker was Michael Jackson’s friend… they were really close! Chris Tucker’s voice was actually in the beginning of “You Rock My World” by MJ and he was in the music video too (which is hilarious and like a movie, you should do a reaction to it). He was really hurt when MJ died and was of course at the funeral as well. To this day he’s still in touch with MJ’s family.

This was Jackies first movie where he had to actually try and speak a lot of English. Where he really didn't speak at all. His English was like barely 60%
3 parts of this movie that really make me crack up laughing are:
1. When Carter starts dancing like Michael Jackson in the middle of the street after blowing the car up
2. When Lee and Carter are bonding and practicing disarming techniques while Edwin Starr's song "War" plays in the background
3. When Carter says "I know that ain't the bomb. Get that bomb away from me." Towards the end
And Trust me, the blooper reels for the remaining two movies are just as funny when it comes to the slip-ups with the dialogue.
Rush hour 1 & 2 are probably the best action/comedy movies ever made. True classics, they never get old.
Definitely one of my favorite reactions to one of my favorite action comedy franchises. Jackie and Chris have so much chemistry. Can’t wait to see your reactions to Rush Hour 2 and 3 and the bloopers.

The female cop was played by Elizabeth Pena. She passed away at 55. She comes out in La Bamba the story of Ritchie Valens. A movie I recommend to react to.

Shanghai Noon is another excellent Jackie Chan flick, with Owen Wilson instead of Chris Tucker, but the same kind of comedy...in a western setting. So glad y'all liked Rush Hour, though. They're all really good.

Hi Asia and BJ, this movie was so good. Chris and Jackie have great chemistry together. I do suggest the second one but not the third. The action sequences in this film along with the comedy is superb. Sorry I missed this drop due to work.

The bomb is is attached to a vest with material that can be cut away; like the shoulder straps and side seams.
It’s never made any sense to me that somehow cutting along a threaded seam would detonate any attached wires if they tried to remove the vest itself.
Chackie literally has multiple injuries from all the stunts hes attempted over the years

Thx! Actually this 1998 version of Jackie Chan is kind of like LeBron James now. Still very good, but the really amazing athleticism and stunts happened in the past. For Jackie it was the 80s-mid 90s. There are plenty of good compilations of Jackie Chan's greatest stunts on TH-cam. Even if you don't react to the videos, you should check them out. You can see him actually risk his life hanging from a helicopter or jumping from building to building.

Back when mp3s were new.. there were loads of soundboard based prank phonecalls spreading around Napster. Of course, Arnold Schwarzenegger was the classic.. but the Chris Tucker ones from Rush Hour were also amazing.

The out-takes at the end are something you will find at the end of almost all of the Jackie Chan movies since "Dragon Lord" 1982, sometimes they include him or one of his stunt team getting seriously hurt.
You can see how dedicated to making a film he is, in the 1985 film "Rumble in The Bronx" he does about half the film and a lot of stunts with a plaster cast on his foot and lower leg (covered up by wardrobe to look like his other shoe).
If you don't think that was Jackie Chan hanging way up there. You need to see more Jackie Chan movies. I like that the show the bloopers at the end. Jackie knows kids will get excited and try to copy him. The bloopers show just how dangerous his stunts and fight scenes really are.
Oh wow! I looked up the meaning in English translation of Juntao. It means a male body part that impregnates. Also when that blonde Asian guy tells Carter to wipe his mouth he’s bleeding. At the end when Carter kills the blonde and he throws a handkerchief and tells him to wipe off he’s dead.
In case no one mentioned this, Jackie Chan actually did the fall onto the giant banner. I saw the stunt being done on TV. While it was amazing, he has done crazier stunts than this.
If you watch more Jackie Chan movies, (Druken Master, Rumble in the Bronx,...), he shows all the stunts that went wrong. There is another special or TH-cam clip that shows all the serious injuries and broken bones that he suffered.

One thing to remember guys is that Jackie Chan always has bloopers at the end of his movies and yes, he does all his own stunt especially in Hong Kong movies. He slid down a building, slid down a pole full of lights that were on, hanging from a helicopter ladder and climbed a giant bulldozer to name a few. You want to miss the blooper. Also, way back when Jackie played a henchman in Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon and Bruce accidentally hit or kicked Jackie for real. It's a if you blink, you'll miss it scene. Bruce was very apologetic about it cause he was a cool dude like that.
1st movie I saw Jackie Chan in was Rumble in the Bronx. At the end they showed how he broke his foot doing 1 of his stunts. Also showed a few times where he got hurt or accidentally hurt sum1 else.
There's a beautiful video of Jackie and his daughter reacting to a video compilation of the stunts he's performed throughout his long career. His first American movie role was in The Cannonball Run.

I know a lot of Americans for some reason turn there nose up at the thought of eating eel... but it is so good. It's been a delicacy in Europe for hundreds of years and a staple in Asian cuisine. Sushi fans know what I'm talking about. I mean... it's just a long fish. You don't think eating fish is strange, do you?
Agreed, it is in fact my favorite sushi, whether its unagi (freshwater eel) or anago (seawater eel) you can't go wrong with it. Most restaurants make it with BBQ sauce or teriyaki but both are delicious.

Taxi driver that pulled a gun on them is legendary martial artist "Judo" Gene Lebell. One of the toughest dudes ever and competed in MMA style fights waaaay before Art Davie even thought about making the UFC. Judo Gene made Steven Seagal crap his pants and he was Ronda Rouseys mentor throughout her martial arts career. Legend.

Jackie Chan entered a Chines Opera school as a child. He trained many hours a day for over a decade there which is why he can do what he does.
I'm so excited that you watched this! This is such a great franchise and you're right that Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan just go together so freaking well. The comedy and action blend between them is so perfectly balanced. And if you liked this movie then you're going to love the next even more. It's one of those movies where the sequel is even better in all areas.
