Dave does an awesome job explaining things so I can understand then Matt comes in with great follow up questions. This is all really fascinating and I enjoy and respect Dave’s candor.
It’s amazing what goes into these products I use daily. We take for granted all the hard work companies put into developing their products. At times we complain about the price but this puts into perspective at least for me as to why products are expensive. Thanks for this video I really enjoyed it!
I love watching this stuff because it takes many steps from development to manufacturing to sales to get it to the consumer, just like what I do in the wine and spirits industry. I am very intrigued on how it takes so many processes and steps to make it to the market to an open and freely traded market and then if the product doesn’t sell? I just find that type of stuff amazing Matt.
@@c6z061 lol well I can't be certain but it's incredibly easy to reverse engineer chemistry when you do long enough. Especially when it's chemistry of the same industry. I'm sure he left out a few things more or less but I get the feeling he just flexed on Adam's super hard, only they will know for sure: )
This was super interesting! I always wondered what effect fragrances (which are usually esters) and dyes (which are usually organic azo compounds) have on the functioning surfactants and lubricating agents in car soaps.
Freaking cool! Not everybody are willing to share and educate. Speaks a lot of about the company and specifically Dave! Kudos! Been using some P&S products on my car. Bead maker, Paint gloss and Brake buster. (Paint gloss for me really have a great smell)
Matt, I am testing out a 32oz bottle of their auto shampoo. My go-to shampoo is always Adam's shampoo, but my initial thoughts on this shampoo is that it is slicker than Adams and clings to the car better. I'm using a PF22 and a 1322ts. Are you going to try P&S's shampoo out? I'm really impressed with it for the money.
Very interesting, thanks for sharing. Something I learned in chemistry was to never hang your nose directly over a product to smell it, but to wave your hand over it towards your nose to limit the risk of being intoxicated by said product.
How come its not as concentrated as adams or other typical car shampoo’s? I notice that the P&S pearl is very diluted feeling and usually takes twice as much product to foam as well as say adams.
Foam is not a good indicator of soap concentration. Some very concentrated soaps don't foam a lot like Rupes' in house shampoo. Viscosity is also not a good indicator of concentration. Most extreme concentration shampoos like CarChem 1900:1 have the viscosity of water.
"I'm not showing the recipe on video on purpose"
*Shows the scale reading everytime a new ingredient is added and named*

I definitely want to see more of this type of stuff. I'm going to make it happen.
Obsessed Garage I look forward to it!
I've been waiting to watch a video like this for years. Thank you!
Thank you Matt and Dave both for the glimpse into how things get made.
Thanks for sharing your inside access Matt! Very impressed with the Phillips brothers.
There will undoubtedly be an OG line of products. Just a matter of when

Lmfao he made Adam's shampoo
Gamma Light seriously?

Amazing getting to see the ins and outs of an operation!! Love the video!!
This is awesome Matt! Thanks for the video gave me a better understanding how it’s made.
So pumped!! Been waiting for this video all week and even during the podcast this week..Awesome video as usual.
That’s awesome, back in chemistry class 🤔
This is some really fascinating stuff here. Very cool to have this level of access to product manufacture like this, so thanks Matt.
This is a piece of gold. Cheers to Dave for sharing his talent. So interesting to see it progress from water to blue shampoo.
That was really cool. Thank you p&s for the behind the scenes.
A superb conclusion to the tour! .
One of the coolest videos you’ve done to date.
I learned some new words the interesting breakdown how to make these soaps! Thank you very much!

Interesting one. Some unique content right here!
How many gallons of Beadmaker do I have to buy to get a P&S shirt like that?
5 gallons of Bead Maker $133.40, Daves P&S Pocket Protecter shirt Priceless.

Yep that was pretty awesome! I see why you were so stoked to upload this one.
you should auction of your one off batch here! Ultimate OG signature edition.
Awesome, thanks for sharing Matt, OG car shampoo coming soon 😂😂👍👌
Matt, u surprise me sometimes. This was cool. Thanks
This video=Excellence! Awesome job!
Dave is quite intelligent and interesting to listen to.
13:00 you killed man! Nice question!

Would’ve opted for coconut scent. Thank you for sharing!

Great! Now convince him to make bead maker in a lab :P
I wanted that one, but he was going to give that one to me.
@@ObsessedGarage there is no way they would show bead maker. It's a secret weapon 😁
Much respect for P&S for doing this for Matt. My geek side loves this.
Awesome video! Reminds me of my work, except I’m dealing with food. Kind of amazing how many similarities, but two totally different industries.
I learned so much in this video.
Shoulda went blueberry ;) Does what he said about PH change your opinion of that Griot's foaming surface wash and stripping stuff off?
This reminds me wayyyyy too much as my university General Chemistry Lab. But seems a lot more fun because this has a purpose....
Sweet, I'm going to enter the soap business and build an empire!
It is very good. Could you give me its ingredient for me, please sir?
I could watch these types of videos all day. Inner nerd is satisfied for now.
what type of facuilty is this? so that i can research one in my state and go to. Because id like to make a soap of my own, and other products as well.
did you figure out how to make your own product im looking to do the same
Anyone got the list?

Bingo. Thick liquid = more salt
Great video, let's see Scott from DPC do this.
@Rocky yes
I guess we should see the other companies do it too right
@@patricktuggles4815 difference between the other companies is they dont go around making conspiracy theories over a SDS sheet to push an agenda.
Have to talk to his personal “chemist” he hired, aka the blender he and tons of other companies use!
The guy was pretty fun to watch before he started selling his stuff and gathering followers like David Koresh (no offense)
This dude is crazy smart.
“so you don’t die in this room”
Interesting. Blue Cherry! =) Did you get a chance to try it out? Thank you for sharing.
No, we didn't try it.
No video of you detailing this guys car ? 👀 .....
Scientist prob washes his car with autozone big yellow jug stuff, lol...😂
This video would never exist if it wasn’t for you. Third
Beautiful but incomplete, in a sense that you haven't revealed the ingredients "PURPOSEFULLY"😂
Dont talk about Fight Club
You r use ingerdent show me
This gentleman is not giving clear conception. Surfactant details????
