Banana republic icon line is so good. Unbelievable quality for $25. Vintage green, pure white , tobacco and tonka are all 🔥🔥🔥 I didn't care for oud mosaic, leather reserve is nice. Still searching for cypress cedar!
Cypress Cedar I heard is pretty good Pat. I just picked up another rare find from the line so stay tuned for that!

Right on point!! The Banana Republic Tobacco and Tonka Bean is awesome and Oud Mosaic as well!! But that dark cherry i return it. Still trying to find Neroli Woods.. has anyone tried it and give feedback?

I picked up neroli woods in the UK.......very good, lasts a decent amount of time and comapres well to Tom Ford neroli portifino
The Banana Republic icon line is so 🔥🔥🔥 you could literally just pick up that line and would be set for life for fragrances.
I just use my bottle of Dark Cherry and Amber for layering.

I’ve smelled quite a few and the good ones are really good and the ok ones are just exactly that, ok.
Hey Gerard. My wife wears the cherry and amber scent. It smells nice on her. That oud to me is horrible. I really dislike it. I am a big fan of oud scents, but this one just doesn't do it for me. Thanks for the video.

Umida my plan is to start doing more vids on fragrances I enjoy on the ladies! I haven’t tried enough layering I wish it were something I had a better handle on.
I purchased the Dark Cherry & Amber for myself but immediately gave it to my wife. I think it smells a lot like Baccarat Rouge 540, but a bit more subdued. My wife loves that fragrance and being so expensive, DC&A is a good substitution IMHO. I think it smells terrific on her, but as a man, I would not wear it since it leans feminine to me.
I would imagine this to be a really great fragrance for the women in your life for sure.
Agree with Cherry- I'm thinking it'll be good to layer with some of the less expensive tobacco fragrances.

I layered the Dark Cherry and Amber last night with of all things ...Versace's Dreamer ....the predominant tobacco blossom from Dreamer's opening.. mixed with the cherry and amber was really weird ...but I couldn't stop smelling it...

I own both of these fragrances and definitely think they lean feminine. My wife really enjoys dark cherry and amber, while oud mosaic reminds me of a vintage style woman's perfume. I mainly pick up rose and oud.. its blended well but nothing I would personally wear. I would however use as a room scent for a throwback vibe of grandma's house.
That is EXACTLY how my wife described Oud Mosaic 😂

Oh hey, Oud Mosaic in the wild, that's a rare one. Dunhill Custom really isn't bad. And that Coach Platinum price isn't the end of the world, I'd pick that up as a gift.
I own all of the Banana Republic Icon fragrances with the exception of, funny enough, Oud Mosaic. I have smelled it though. That said, if I had to pick one of the two to keep, it would be Dark Cherry and Amber. Oud Mosaic is definitely more interesting, but I'm not the biggest oud guy. You do need to overspray Dark Cherry and Amber to get the most out of it.
That said, Oud Mosaic smells very close to a Diptyque fragrance called Oud Palao, so if you're looking to save quite a bit of money, that's the way to go.
My tip I'll say is that I recently pulled the trigger on a rack store cheapy I've overlooked for a long time, and that was Hugo Just Different. And I feel like a fool for overlooking it. Mint, apple, some aromatics, cashmeran; it's such a fun scent. From the note break down you might be expecting something like an Eros, but it's not like anything I've smelled in my collection. I paid $35 for the 125ml I think, and it was totally worth it. Out of all the Hugo line you'll see at the rack stores, Dark Blue, Man, Iced, Reversed, etc. Just Different has to be my favorite.
I tried an open box of just different Danny and I really liked it. It reminded me of something already in my collection but a great scent nonetheless. Would surely consider that one an underrated cheapie.

I like the Dark Cherry and Amber also. I got a bottle of that Dunhill Custom at Burlington and like it. Real nice for the price.

Hey Gerard. I have a few banana Republic fragrances. Tobacco and Tonka Bean and Vintage Green are really good 👌🏻 I also have Metal Rain but haven't opened it yet 😁
Frank the first two are definitely my favorite from the line. Metal Rain is solid as well and Grassland.
That Mercedes-Benz sampler set you looked at was actually a decent pick-up for $24 - I think they are significantly more online. I bought one a while back mostly for the Cologne but ended up also really liking the regular Mercedes-Benz and the Intense version (Fahrenheit EDT vibes, but I actually think I prefer this). Beware that they are splash bottles though, so you’ll likely have to transfer to a travel spray.

Yeah, I haven't seen those 4 bottle minis in a long time, and that is the only MB Cologne you'll see since I think they have finally run dry online in the past 6 months or so with the big bottles of MB Cologne.

I nabbed a MB Starwalker Extreme at Ross's for $16.99. To me it's a great fragrance, decent longevity, good projection for an hour. Sprayed on shirt collar, still there the next morning.
An absolutely fantastic tonka fragrance for little money!

Got the Oud Mosaic at my local Burlington yesterday, now I can't wait to try it tomorrow. Personally, I like the Dark Cherry and Amber. Have 8 i the line now, haven't tried my Tobacco and Tonka Bean yet. All I have seem unisex to me.

I never see Banana Republic, Oud Mosaic. That Coach, Platinum was a score because they are getting harder to find. Hugo, Iced would have been good as long as they aren't charging $40 for it. Anything Marc Ecko is getting harder to find too.

Not surprised you passed on the MB legend spirit. Great fragrance but $50 is pricey at a discounters even with the travel spray. Well swerved. 😮

I own both fragrances. I gave Dark Cherry and Amber to my wife. She loves, I don’t. Oud Mosaic was different to me, I bought it early in my frag journey. I now appreciate it more. To me a good entry level inexpensive Oud would be Oud Touch by Franck Olivier. But I have grown to like Oud Mosaic.
I wore it this week and am having trouble mainly due to something my wife said after smelling it now I can’t shake it 😂

Hey Gerad I think the same of dark cherry but the # 17 oud mosaic is great, I recommend you try grassland and metal rain are pretty good cologne too. Thanks for your videos 👍🏻

Thanks for the excellent review. Passed on the cherry a few times and now glad I did. Was hunting for the oud, but now I guess I'll stick with the tobacco and tonka, and black walnut legend.

BR oud mosaic is such a beast frag for the price, it is basically dior's oud ispahan on super budget =P , looks like you need to go to dior's boutique and try their private line, esp. the oud ispahan.

I was excited to pick up dark cherry and amber when I came across it last week after my experience with tobacco and tonka bean. However it was a huge disappointment. I regretted the $22 I spent on it. Anyone have any suggestions of any others from this line to watch for?
I understand Marcus. 78 vintage green is my other favorite from the line and Grassland is also a great scent. Both great for warmer weather.

Nice Haul Gerard, found Nishane Ani on clearance for $117 @ my local Tj Maxx but already have it. Last time I wore Oud Mosaic was at a winter wedding anniversary while most of the male guests were wearing Aventus or Sauvage.

I haven't tried any of the Banana Republic scents before, but we have an outlet mall between Columbus and Cincinnati with a BR store, I'll have to drive down and see what they have. I've heard lots of good things about them.

Nice rack store haul vid. I have seen both of those at a Burlington I live by but I always try to look for tobacco and Tonka bean cause everyone says that's a good one and I can never find that one.

@@gerardgeorge I gotta look for that one too. I recently found a JPG Le Male at a Nordstrom rack at a good price and I had to get it. Usually I don't see fragrances like those at the Nordstrom rack by where I am at.

Funny, I picked up Oud Mosaic about a week ago at Burlington. I’ll be returning it today LOL Seems very... “mature” to me.

Yea I purchased it and returned it the same day. It was on my hand all day but in this instance, longevity didn’t matter. I have quite a few oud frags and this one just wasn’t it for me. I hear ppl say this is a good beginner oud frag but I don’t agree. I would think that a good beginners oud would be Frank Oliver oud touch or Nissan oudy. Those are good for beginners getting into ouds. Oud mosaic was barn yardish or something animalistic TO ME.

I returned my bottle to Burlington too. It was a little "manure" for me 😆 Very barn yardy to my nose.
If you are a collector, id recommend you to keep it, its rare and it smells very much like 300USD perfume by Dior
