I was able to grab a couple fragrances one I have NEVER seen at the rack store and the other is a more commonly found scent from the rack store from a popular discounted house.

Gerard, I have seen both fragrances at Burlington and I never bought them. I am glad that I passed on them. Sometimes you get lucky with blind buys and sometimes the fragrances are not good. Thanks for making the video and giving your honest opinion on the fragrances.
That’s the goal with these videos let you know what actually is just average and don’t bother.
I’ve never been too much of a fan about Presence but Match point is one that I have and always love to wear. If you ever come across Presence Cool during a rack store hunt, I highly recommend picking it up. Easily one of my favorite freshies from Montblanc.
I’ve tried presence cool it’s nice. Gave it to my friend.
individuel is the perfect fragrance. It's cheap, actually really long lasting, and smells great. it checks all three boxes, Isn't that what we all want?
And it's unique. Jeremy was right about that one.

I own Presence and really like it. I’m a fan of cinnamon, cardamom, and tonka bean fragrances. I have to overspray to get more than 4-5 hours. It’s a very safe office scent.
Yeah the mix of notes works beautifully. I agree extremely safe office scent.
Love seeing your area's racks as always. I know the feeling of browsing past certain frags in the racks and scrolling past certain frags online and then finally catching a case of the F*{k-its and pulling the trigger. The upside to online is it's usually the 5th bottle kicker for the free shipping so its usually close to "free" and I got 4 other scents in the haul if it's not a winner.

I keep seeing Lacoste Match point I was thinking of picking it up but now I seen this great review and it's a negative on scooping up Match point I'm to late on the Mont Blanc already have that in the collection Thanks Gerard good looking out.

The Montblanc Presence reminds me of Hugo Boss Bottled, did not have them both to try a side by side comparison but I get the same vibe
I can definitely see that. The boss has more of a designer feel and longer lasting even newer formulations.
Presence reminds me of the Holidays. I wear it for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have a older batch im sure. I wonder if it been reformulated or something.
I think it has. I can see this being a holiday scent though for sure.
Lacoste's matchpoint is a pretty good line. I prefer the cologne with the rhubarb note. Great summer cheapie.
The cologne seems to be the one to grab!

I have the Mont Blanc Starwalker and the Individual , and Emblem intense they are pretty solid fragrances, especially the Emblem intense 😊

I'll be interested to see your weekly wears and get a full review of Match Point. I've been on the fence with it, I appreciate your honesty. My favorite is the original Lacoste, the 1984 green and white bottle. It's really great. Opens with a lime blast and some menthol-like notes. Smells like alligator polo shirts and money. I haven't seen anything like it today; in fact I wore it this week. Great stuff!

Dude..watching this video Saturday morning and I see that Burlington had CR7 Game On… it’s smells very close to Stronger with you but lasts longer imo… must buy!!!

I might need to try this Lacoste.. I'm a HUGE fan of Essentials (my OG, first fragrance I bought myself in high school when in released in 05-06, many memories.. lol).

I don't think they are similar but Essentials is a nice scent still.

Not gona say that Match Point EDT is particularly impressive or creative. That said, I enjoy reaching for it when I'm playing golf or just want something to spray and go when I'm doing outdoor activities in the warmer months 🍃
I can see it be worn in very casual situations and even being an “outdoor” scent. Good point Ryan.
Another great video Gerard! I have all 3 of those Ronaldo fragrances. I think you would really like the Game on fragrance from Ronaldo. It’s the one in the black box. Doesn’t smell like your typical celebrity scent. Very nice. You don’t really do celebrity colognes I noticed. Not into them? Enjoy your weekend!

My favorite Montblanc fragance so far. "Pro tip" do not sisy spray, spray heavy including shirt it doesn't stain, I get 8H easy.

@gerardgeorge If you like cinnamon, you'll like it, it turns into a powdery scent, great for fall/cool and winter.

I got a Parfum de Marly Haltane the other day from Fragrance Buy and unlike the one I smelled at Neiman Marcus this one had a almost gasoline note to it . I know everyone says they sell authentic bottles I feel like something is definitely off even though the bottle and everything else seems legit compared to all the other 4 bottles I have from PDM I bought at reputable dealers . When it dries down its still a little noticeable as where the one I smelled at the department store didn’t have anything like that the several times I’ve walked by and sprayed it over the year . What are your thoughts ?
I know they are an authentic retailer I personally haven’t ordered much from them but what I have has been fine. Maybe ask them if they would be willing to send you a new bottle? Otherwise giving it more time could make a difference as well. I’ve had fragrances like that that have sat for awhile and once I start using them they settle.

When you mentioned synthetic and almost sour. Is that what synthetic stuff usually smells like? Some really cheap fragrances have smelled sour, and or powdery. Those are the only frags I can't do. And I've thought that maybe they come off like that because I use bar soap to shower (?).
This is a great question. So when I say synthetic in a good way I’m usually getting dryer sheet, fuzzy, static. It’s clean but tickles the nostrils. Synthetic in this case was chemical like. There are fragrances I like with some sour nuances but they are balanced. The sourness here isn’t balanced but does fade fairly quickly. Again fantastic question.
Seen Match Point EDP while near the Mexico border on the cheap. Kicked myself for not buying it. Gave me a Eternity X Eau de Grey Flannel vibe. Would’ve been a safe buy.

Hey Gerard, love your channel! One of the best cheapies I know is “Sexy Secret” by Jean Marc Paris (awful name, I know) - but I can’t figure out for the life of me what it is a clone of? It’s such a great scent. Do you know?

To me, La Coste and Mont Blanc fragrances are generally cheap and synthetic products.
That’s always been my issue with Lacoste. With Mont Blanc I think synthetic but pleasing at least with the ones I own. I don’t own many.

I'm a fan of Presence and Presence Cool. For $20, you can't go wrong with either, though I'd have to say I vastly prefer Presence Cool.
Match Point EDT unfortunately suffers from being not a complete fragrance in my opinion. Horrible performance. They severely improved on it with the EDP. They came up with a Match Point Cologne that I'm interested in trying.
as I wrote to Gerard, Match Point EDT and EDP did not impress me, but I liked the cologne very much.

Presence reminds me of Brut.

The Presence line is pretty lacking. The cool flanker smells just like a shaving gel from Gillette. Good for the average out the shower grab but pretty much worth $5 lol

Most of these fragrances had excellent performance back in the day. Now they are Reformulated and watered down and I would not even take them for free. What a shame
