I live alone. I've always loved beans. I washed them thoroughly, at least 3 rinses, and put them on to cook. I add seasoning, lemon pepper, garlic, onion, all spice and bacon. Often I will add sausage or ox tails, etc. I let it cook on low boil for 4 hours. By the way, was a beautiful and peaceful rendition. Thanks, gorgeous.

The problem is you guys when you show your country culture you say is African culture but Africa has 54 countries n what you do in Uganda, Somalia, Rwanda is not a GENERAL thing done in whole AFRICA. Is not the same in Botswana, South Africa or Lesotho It could be best if you Generalise your beautiful Respectful Culture

I see you are making a traditional dish called 'Emagira'. Basically Cowpeas or Black Eyed Peas ground and cooked in Sodium Bicarbonate or Potash. No salt is added. Sometimes Peanut Butter, or Cow Ghee is added to enhance the Flavor. It's enjoyed with Cooked sweet Potatoes, Millet Bread or Posho/Ugali.😀
