Kids, I was a kid once. There are a lot of defining moments in life. If you feel you are experiencing one,
know that you are right. Remember that 99% of kids don't know much about life, only emotion.
When in doubt turn to an real adult who can understand. Please don't trade an easy ear, for one who will abuse you.
Abuse comes in many forms. Never trade your body for a moment of assurance that things will get better.
If you do, know that things won't get better because your trust will never be secure again. There are many
more wolves than you could imagine.
    Love Mom

      Doesn’t mean you SHOULD.

How we carry ourselves in times of adversity defines who we are. Our actions ultimately determine what we're really made of. Great movie!

Not always outward deliberate action. I've heard the saying several times "actions speak louder than words" but what of those that have more strength in communication than physical action? It's not so black and white. Many do truly have greatest intents and in their heart of hearts do want an outcome, but years of patterns that change brain chemistry can legit make it impossible for an individual to act In a way that they want to so desperately. For example, the many that struggle with weight loss, they want it with all their might, and many do try but just cannot. This does not make them less authentic. Again. Not so black and white so many factors involved. Also, we know our inner selves like nobody else. Proving to others what we are made of is unnecessary when you know your truth.

This is such a powerful film... I was in a very similar situation as Tyler about a year ago... My best friend at the time was starting to spiral and I was watching it happen... She was growing obsessed with serial killers and school shooters to the point she believed they were actually talking to her. It was terrifying to witness and what terrified me further was when she began buying guns and telling me her plan to either become a serial killer or shoot up a school... it seemed to be primarily motivated by suicide and mental health, but I ended up reporting her to the FBI. She got help before something could happen, thankfully, but we don't talk or anything anymore... Sometimes I wish I could now if she is better, and part of me still misses her...

Very good movie, well acted and true to life.
Some really good life advice from the former policeman: if you find someone who makes you a better person, treasure that relationship. So many of us will go through life without meeting that person, or thinking that we have met them only to realize after a while that it wasn't the case.

It's how we learn from them that moulds us. We are all good people at birth, don't let others take you down the darker paths....there is no exit sign there. This is a lesson to parents that they should try to be more resilient and be there for their kids. Tyler was going through a lot and needed someone to support him. His mom's motherly instinct should have been active to sense that something was wrong from the start.

She's not mentally stable, so her instinct wouldn't be active or active enough for her to see this.
At times with an mental health problem, it is too late when that person realises something is wrong.
She needed professional help & even forgot her appointment, the mental health condition was either causing her memory loss or she just forgot
Mental health condition's can cause exhaustion & normally if that person doesn't take a nap sooner or later in the day.
It will affect the condition even more...
She had no strength in her body, she looked as weak as a dead chicken when she told her son she managed to go to the store.
Tyler went through ALOT & had noone to turn to & noone to help him & noone to make him understand the condition his mum was in.
As it didn't seem like an illness, Tyler didn't understand, how bad it was.
Which made him relactate towards her, that doesn't help the both of them.
She can't support him in this condition...

no one is going to talk about the Columbine references in this film? Okay, I will. Natural Selection is the shirt that Eric Harris wore on the day of the shooting. The jocks in this film wear white helmets which is probably a reference to the white hats the jocks would wear - Columbine in '99.
at 34:43 Ingrid says, "if your alive it's because something has decided for you to be alive" . This is inspired from an excerpt in Eric Harris's journal. He says, "The only reason your alive is because someone has decided to let you live"
This film is beautifully made. I love the dialogue. It is so powerful and moving. The character dynamics are incredible. This film is not based on Columbine , but you can see the references. Just thought I should acknowledge them.
Pay attention and listen to the signs, you never know who may be struggling behind the scenes.

This movie was so real,I could taste it. Wow! I do not think that any anyone that manages to reach adulthood ,does so unscathed from life in an of itself. It's al about choices either good or bad. Ingrid was so lost in his self righteousness that it was scary. Obviously, Nietzsche could not influence s lost soul into the right direction. We al need to forgive ourselves and each other. Compassion and love and hope are excellent ingredients that are necessary in our life in order to live fulfilling lives. it takes little to no effort to be desctructive . In order to achieve anything, one must work at it and constantly. When we have love in our hearts, the world is beautiful.🌻

i enjoyed the movie with the exception of the way Ty talked to his mother regardless of his reasons, i don't feel that was the best way to deal with her and any issues / problems that existed, aside from that his so called friend reminded me of a majority of certain people in this world who manipulate and poison the minds of others with confusion and hate and rage with lies and deception for them to become like them empty cold and full of hate with a twisted view of the world and life which causes the actions he eventually displayed here, its a good example of how we should be very careful of the people we take up with and what we allow in to our spirits minds and soul from the things we read listen to and chose to believe, to fill our lives with good not evil and the dangers and consequences that await from the choices we make that eventually affects the rest of our lives, this was pretty good loved the ending thank you.

In today's society, there exists many physical, mental, and social issues that create unstable adults, teenagers, and young children. Fortunately, there are places you can go for help. However, the ones that refuse to accept their problems often cause difficult situations. Also, it can end up in horrible conflicts or even death. We have come further in the areas technology than in the depth of mankind. It is a sad commentary.

The first horrific reality of a situation like this was when I lived a mile away from Columbine H.S. I will never forget that day ever. My children were 3 and 4 years old at the time. I chose to home school them until they reached High School. The greatest truth you will ever have is faith in the Lord of your choosing. Everyone has reached a difficult time in their lives. The choices you make when you lose sight of all hope and your faith is your darkest hour and reaching out to anyone you still trust is essential.

A brilliant film - an allegory about the Fatalism and Chaos of Nietze's philosophy of selection which fired and fueled German aggression into Hitler himself. Only the redeeming power of Love, both human and Divine, can stop this process: and all this masked by a deranged boy's love for a girl. Both young men played their roles superbly. This is a well made Morality Tale, so needed as much today, as in years past. Well Done!

From personal experience, the bs whatever doesn't kill you will make you stronger is a lie. Makes you fuckin emotionally haggard, tired, depressed and traumatized. To give a physical example, a person gets in an accident and winds up in a coma. Didnt die but not stronger. Sometimes, blow after blow after blow people do become traumatized and avoid whatever that fear is at all costs, they are more terrified to face it then they were originally. Repeated bad shit has that effect. And does not get easier...Not gonna make you say gee, let me suffer again, let that occur again in my life and watch me kick it in the teeth... Applies to anything. How much bashing can something endure? These sayings may apply to whoever conceived of them, and invalidates those who have had experience that damaged a large piece of them. Thinking, am I weak? Because ABCDEF did not make me stronger?
