i actually liked the movie a lot more than i thought it would, molly, alice eve's character was actually a human being. She wasnt some ditzy pretty girl, she didnt act like she was better than everyone else. i really liked her character

That ending was priceless. I laughed out loud the whole time. It is refreshing to see someone actually give credit to the theatrical world and how it contributes to film. Made me happy.

@Viconiuz in London there are a couple of different accents but her accent is close to how a lot of people sound but it sounds like it's been changed probably from living abroad, e.g. at 0:44 she says 'obviously' weirdly and at 2:48 she says 'well' weirdly. Her voice is a bit posh but a lot of people sound like that, London people who go to good schools/universities sound like that.
It would be normal for a guy like his to date a girl like her. If he was confident and had an amazing personality. What makes this movie unrealistic is How can she be attracted to a poor guy with low self-esteem and socially awkward. It is not about his looks.
I think that at the museum and at the hockey match had self-esteem and it was gone when his friends and his family said that he could never get a girl like molly. By the way I love molly in the movie and Alice eve in real life:)
That interviewer clearly went into that interview dressing to impress and then actually tried to make a "oh we're just messing around" pass at her and failed miserably.

@Taarable It's unfair to generalize that English actors are just better at accents than American actors. Some actors are good at it, others aren't, regardless of nationality. The vampires you mentioned aren't relevant examples, since nobody in the US (or anywhere) actually talks like that. What I do find hilarious is when Hollywood uses British as a stand-in for ANY other language, or when actors (Christian Bale) affect a poor American accent even in interviews, so as not to CONFUSE people. (?!)
@Taarable My real point isn't that Americans are good at British accents, it's that you (I assume you're British) hear the bad ones, where an American ear wouldn't (unless it's Kevin Costner). Your ear isn't trained to hear how truly godawful many British actors are at American accents. Case in point, you didn't hear the slip-ups the lovely Alice Eve had in this movie; you just heard "Sounds American." I, as an American, noticed several places where she went deep in her U's and sounded British.

The point i'm trying to get across is that i've HEARD that in general it's easier for an English person to do an American accent. There is a scene in the movie where they go to that hockey rink. So it's tenuously related, but still a terrible choice of venue for an interview.
