Ornn wouldn't ever show it but he actually did respect their mentality for constant self-improvement and their gifts. One day Volibear and his armies came to Ornn asking for weapons and Ornn basically said either nothing or something along the lines of, "get outta here Its forgin' time!" afterwards Volibear pissed Ornn off so much they had a massive fight, during the fight, the Hearthblood were either injured or killed with their gifts to Ornn all destroyed. Ornn felt responsible for the destruction and retreated inside his hearth forging since. Is probably why the name doesn't mean anything anymore, he still remembers what happened last time and doesn't want to get too attached
His design is really cool. Kinda wish they cut back on the biffoonery a little though. He's suppost to be this ancient master of battle, the ultimate duelist, but then most of his followers just clown on him and all of the card descriptions talk about him losing fights.

And to do that, he always gets in situations where some monster "overpowers" him just so someone can save him and Jax will recruit that person for their willingness to stand against a threat.

He just saw his creation ruined and magical EXTREMELY heavy door being lifted by a MORTAL as a shield.. it's like God creating rock that he can't even lift it. Then some random John Doe finds it to carry in his pocket.
Jax's crews seem so fun and chaotic. Orn's followers are wholesome and chill. Then there's Jun's tragic end followed by Xolaani's mind controlling people and other darkins for 'peace'.
I love how people are rekindling the Hearthblood to please Ornn, yet he doesn't want that because to him it means nothing now. That is so brilliant and tragic. The original Hearthblood really were his unexpected joy even though he never expressed it to anyone. Unlike the other Freljordian demi-gods, Ornn never asked for anyone's worship or to follow his example. So the fact that a tribe in the Freljord did so purely out of their love of forging, it connected with him. Losing them definitely had a great impact on him.
And he fears too get that joy again that why he said let the name die but saying that means nothing is a big lie that him tell himself but in reality it means everything for him (that is my take for that voiceline) it was is joy but its was too is first time that he felt loss and grief so he closed is hearth too not feel loss again .
I hope Ornn realizes if nobody worships or even remembers him, he will die to Etherfiend. Even if he doesn't want it, he shouldn't make people stop worshipping him.

Everyone feels a bit more energetic in LoR (Ornn too) because AFAIK they have a max time length for each voiceline in order to not disturb the flow of the game so some champions that speak slowly in League are kinda sped up a bit in LoR

Ornn was sleeping in the house he built, then Anivia, out of boredom or because she wanted her older brothers attention, tickled his nose with her feathers in his sleep, he sneezed but he breathes fire so he burned his house down and Anivia vanished xd

Xolaani being a healer previously, and having her mind corrupted by time, makes sense as to why she is the way she is now. There's a fine line between healing someone, and making them live vicariously through your will. Doctors, in effect, control the means to live, which is a morbid way to think about the relationship. There's a vested purpose in becoming a god, or caretaker in the healing practices, because you lead people indirectly. It can even be due to the Darkin civil war that she controlled them, to prevent them from fighting and trying to fill the power vacuum that Nasus and Azir left. Now that her mind is corrupted, she finds any life unpacified and passioned as something to cure, all for the purpose to avoid conflict. It makes sense that the other Darkins hate her and call her a coward.
I like how in the lore, Ornn likes socializing with the mortals, but the whole demi god fight happend and Ornn had to abandon the people that follow him so that they don't get caught in his problem, but the very few that still worship him gets to actually have some of Ornn's help.
Thats wrong tho. Ornn never liked company. He shut himself in his mountain to forge and craft. Over the times a group of mortals started settling near his mountain. They too loved the forge and craft and tried to channel ornn in their actions. Ornn again didnt care. At least he didnt show them that he cared. Maybe a word of encouragement every once in a while. But he started to like the hearthblood. Then volibear came and asked ornn for weapons and armor which he refused. Voli proceeded to kill every last one of the hearthblood and ornn for the first time understood that he actually liked the hearth blood. So he shut himself in the mountain again and tried to never talk to another being again

Ok so from the quotes, card arts and the description of the cards it seems Kayn was after the Xolaani weapon since he wanted to master two darkin weapons and become even stronger. So he went to Yi's village with his followers and tried to force Yi to tell him where the weapon is at, but as an attempt to save Yi and the rest of the students Jun took the weapon in order to defeat Kayn, but she lost control to Xolaani so she "died". Seems kinda tragic because no matter what Jun always sacrifices herself, and Yi can't keep his students alive. That's why I like LoR in terms of lore, they have a very unique way of telling you the lore without forcing it on you, more like "discover it for yourself".
@@dizzyheads Well it's clear that in the Rhaast art the students die and he got a hold of the weapon. But I assume that the cannonic ending is that Jun picks the weapon, manages to fend off Kayn but loses control to Xolaani in the process.
If Kayne becomes the shadow assassin he fights Yi but if Kayne loses to Rhaast, Jun and all the students died. The shadow assassin path is probably closer to the Xolaani path since Rhaast kills Jun.

jun got corrupted and turned into xolaani and in the case Yi takes down an enemy xolaani then that when you get the line, but this is all an if scenario it looks like.
The Improvise mechanic that the weaponmasters have let you choose an equipment from a pool of "weapons", none of them are actual weapons (bow, blades, hammers...) but instead janky stuff (a pan, a fishing rod, a goddamn fish...). So I'd say they kept the joke going

I'm pretty sure the lore states that she's a ascended healer of some sort and never became a darkin, she's the faceless god featured in the story and in the cinematic, then why the heck she's a darkin now

No, Aatrox's hosts are not suitable hosts, they are just some random guys got caught by him on the battlefield, that's why his hosts died too soon and he must change the host frequently, they aren't strong enough. Kayn and Jun on the other hand are stronger and can tolerate the Darkin power, so they are suitable to be a host without expiration date.
Bro Rhaast is so unlucky his first host is really powerful he cant even take control and even if he takes control he waited hundreds of years for a month💀
It really depend on the darkin and the host, tbh. Aatrox is way too powerful and all his host are low quality. So he burn through it very fast, people like varus is less powerful and have more worthy host so they can keep it for longer. I assume the same for rhaast and xolaarni consider their host are very competent

Has anyone else noticed the drastic decline in interactions, like even in the past when they divided some champs in expansions (think sion and galio interactions) the first batch champs still had loads of interactions. It was a tad noticeable in the last expansion but like there are so few interactions that now we can combine all new champions into one video…
The story of yi and xolaani and ornn telling his follower to drop the name are one in the same. It gets me in the feels cause they both lost their followers. Ornn doesn’t wanna lose them again and yi didn’t want to take up students either.
It's really cool to hear what i assume is an actual Norwegian person voicing "adept weaponsmith". You almost never hear it, usually its an american trying a norwegian accent(which is almost impossible to do). Makes me proud.

She was considered one of his best students and had much potential. However, when Kayn (Shadow) attacked, many of Yi's students died. Wounded and desperate, Jun turned to the sealed weapon that Master Yi hid for all those years, which turned out to be the weapon host to the Darkin Xolaani, a hemomancer. Her body was quickly taken over, her spirit suppressed, and out from the lair came Xolaani. Xolaani escaped and is now wandering the world, enslaving the worthy in her quest for peace at any cost.

Xolaani being a healer previously, and having her mind corrupted by time, makes sense as to why she is the way she is now. There's a fine line between healing someone, and making them live vicariously through your will. Doctors, in effect, control the means to live, which is a morbid way to think about the relationship. There's a vested purpose in becoming a god, or caretaker in the healing practices, because you lead people indirectly. It can even be due to the Darkin civil war that she controlled them, to prevent them from fighting and trying to fill the power vacuum that Nasus and Azir left. Now that her mind is corrupted, she finds any life unpacified and passioned as something to cure, all for the purpose to avoid conflict.
It makes sense that the other Darkins hate her and call her a coward.
I like how in the lore, Ornn likes socializing with the mortals, but the whole demi god fight happend and Ornn had to abandon the people that follow him so that they don't get caught in his problem, but the very few that still worship him gets to actually have some of Ornn's help.
Thats wrong tho. Ornn never liked company. He shut himself in his mountain to forge and craft. Over the times a group of mortals started settling near his mountain. They too loved the forge and craft and tried to channel ornn in their actions. Ornn again didnt care. At least he didnt show them that he cared. Maybe a word of encouragement every once in a while. But he started to like the hearthblood. Then volibear came and asked ornn for weapons and armor which he refused. Voli proceeded to kill every last one of the hearthblood and ornn for the first time understood that he actually liked the hearth blood. So he shut himself in the mountain again and tried to never talk to another being again

Ok so from the quotes, card arts and the description of the cards it seems Kayn was after the Xolaani weapon since he wanted to master two darkin weapons and become even stronger. So he went to Yi's village with his followers and tried to force Yi to tell him where the weapon is at, but as an attempt to save Yi and the rest of the students Jun took the weapon in order to defeat Kayn, but she lost control to Xolaani so she "died". Seems kinda tragic because no matter what Jun always sacrifices herself, and Yi can't keep his students alive.
That's why I like LoR in terms of lore, they have a very unique way of telling you the lore without forcing it on you, more like "discover it for yourself".
Kayn transforms and either Kayn or Rhaast kills the students and Jun is forced to make a choice

The Improvise mechanic that the weaponmasters have let you choose an equipment from a pool of "weapons", none of them are actual weapons (bow, blades, hammers...) but instead janky stuff (a pan, a fishing rod, a goddamn fish...). So I'd say they kept the joke going

No, Aatrox's hosts are not suitable hosts, they are just some random guys got caught by him on the battlefield, that's why his hosts died too soon and he must change the host frequently, they aren't strong enough. Kayn and Jun on the other hand are stronger and can tolerate the Darkin power, so they are suitable to be a host without expiration date.

It really depend on the darkin and the host, tbh. Aatrox is way too powerful and all his host are low quality. So he burn through it very fast, people like varus is less powerful and have more worthy host so they can keep it for longer. I assume the same for rhaast and xolaarni consider their host are very competent
