Hi Kim! Beautiful pieces! Your last bowl looks like Spanish Moss. I remember watching a video that had the same results. Maybe it was from Sarah Walton, I’m not sure now. Some glazes creates those micro crystals. The color is very pretty though. Thanks for sharing ❤
@@undsethpottery yes. I get that sometimes with power turquoise. Watch Sarah Walton’s last kiln unloading, she has a dish that looks the same with the maroon specks on it. I also fire with slow cool and depends on the glaze, it creates micro crystals.👍🏻
My textured turquoise ALWAYS comes out with a dark burnt color. I don’t know why!!! I don’t think I’ve ever gotten the pretty blue color. I’ve got one more try in the kiln now with honey flux so we’ll see but I’m not holding out hope.
I think maybe the honey flux makes it worse because it can also have that orangey look at times! I often get the pretty blue, not sure what I did different!
I love the last textured turquoise bowl so much, funny how we all like different things😂
Right! I need to remember that!
Thank you. I love the obsidian and smokey merlot combo.
Thank you 😊
Wonderful pieces! Love your colour combinations ❤
Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing - I love your videos!
Thank you so much 😊
wow!! those platters!! loving your glaze combos😊
Thank you 😊
That Smokey Merlot platter is WOW!
Thank you 😊
Great kiln unload Kim, I love the last bowl with the textured turquoise. River birch can throw the peachy orange colour where it meets other glazes
Thank you! Yes, I’m not a fan of that orange color, I don’t get it when I do a regular cool, so I think they just developed on the slow cool cycle!
Like so much how you share the glaze combos and how you do them.
Thank you so much 😊

I think it was me. Multiple textured turquoise failures. 🤦🏼♀️
So maybe the brown orangey color has more to do with the slow cool schedule, creating the crystals!

I like the last bowl but really cant see the orange
Thank you, I think maybe I was just being picky but you know when you have something in your mind how it will turn out and it’s different!
