If you are having trouble making these kibbles, here are some things you can do to troubleshoot: 1. Make sure you have the Ark Homestead Update (it is not available on Ark Switch yet). If you can learn the engram for triangle wood or stone foundations, you have the Ark Homestead update and you can use this new kibble system. If not, you can use these old Ark kibble recipes on this page: ark.gamepedia.com/Table_of_kibbles 2. Be patient. It takes a couple of minutes for kibble to cook in Ark, so make sure you give it enough time. 3. Try destroying the cooking pot and building a new one. It seems sometimes an old cooking pot that existed before the update doesn't have the recipes in it yet. 4. Make sure to remove anything that could cause dyes to form, like charcoal. 5. Try an industrial cooker if nothing else works. I hope that helps everyone to be able to make the new Ark Kibbles :)

Actually yes you can. Of course you're losing a potential new dino, but if you need an egg for kibble right now, you can have your dinos mate and get the ingredient right away.

I've been looking around for a while now for useful ARK guides and I kid you not yours are the first ones that clearly tell me how to do something without missing any key step that they assumed you knew.
Ark: Survival Guide it sure is! I’m kinda new so, I’m tryna understand the basics. Sadly I just takes a lvl 140 Scorpio which went to lvl 170 because I didn’t know it ate rotten meat :(. I guess I set it to neutral by accident and wandered off. Thanks for all the kibble help tho🙏😁

Your female dinos will lay unfertilized eggs every now and then, but you can get a fertilized egg right away if you make your dinos mate and that can be used for kibble too. You can also occasionally find dino eggs on the ground from wild dinos, but every dino in their species will come try to kill you as soon as you pick up their egg.

If not, you may not be on the Ark Homestead update yet, which means you wont be able to use the new kibble system until Ark Homestead is out for your system. You can try using one of the old kibble system recipes listed here and see if they work: ark.gamepedia.com/Table_of_kibbles Let me know if that works :)
I once got stranded at the hidden pond in North,East corner of the island map (my flyer died) anyways there was a load of wild ducks that kept laying golden eggs. I didn't know what they were for but was hungry so I would nip in and steal them. Until I got a tiny hut and a bed made.
Whoa that sounds nuts! I will have to check out that hidden pond when I want to pick up some golden eggs for that new Extraordinary Kibble recipe. I have my own flock of Hesperornis as an oil farm but I like keeping them nice and safe in the house lol. When you eat golden eggs you get a little exp boost too, but I think it's more effort to get the eggs than just get an extra 10% exp most of the time lol.
Can I use a higher tier kibble to tame an animal that prefers a lower tier? Like if a dodo prefers basic kibble but i only have exceptional will the exceptional kibble have the same effect as the basic?
Ark: Survival Guide oh I use logs in the fire for charcoal .I use the stone fireplace to heat the area with plus some campfire if it's a Rush job to refill ammo stacks. But other than that I learned a bunch of hints and tips from you so thank you for that 👍🏼

I haven't tried higher tier kibble on a lower tier dino since it's usually so much harder to make, but from what I hear, yes you can use the new kibbles on any dinosaurs below that tier. Let me know if you can confirm that too :)
LOL We could always train them to be attack-birds like mine tried to do to a Carno at about 3:28 in this video: th-cam.com/video/GtMQO_LkAqY/w-d-xo.html But yeah... Dodos could definitely use a new TLC patch ;) I would say though that dodos are now even more helpful because they still produce eggs way faster than any other dinosaur, and their eggs are now useful for taming even more creatures than before. I love that you now really just need about 5 breeding pairs of dinosaurs to mass-produce any kibble. You just keep breeding those pairs, keep the females, and you are rolling in the eggs in no time :)
Yeah dodos are an awesome chicken-alternative. You can eat pretty well and have lots of kibble mats if you tame up a bunch of dodos in your house. But it gets really noisy lol
Actually sometimes Ark changes the kibbles needed so it may be the lower level one now :) I made this Ark kibble guide like a year ago when they added the new kibble system. The higher level kibble will definitely work on both levels though. Let me know if you test it.
Hi Ethan, I'm afraid we still don't have news on the free DLC maps for Ark Switch. They originally planned to have ark Ragnarok and The Center for Ark Switch around February, but there's still no word on them. I'm encouraged that they just released the massive Ark Homestead Update though because this new Kibble System Rework and the S+ structures they added were a HUGE undertaking. I'm hoping that now that Ark Homestead is live, they will focus back on Ark Switch. I wish I had more news though!
One of the dinos I believe belongs to regular kibble listing instead of simple kibble. (Ichthyornis) tried simple kibble on low level and took ages to tame till I went for the next grade kibble (regular kibble)
None of my babies wanted anything for imprinting and I haven’t been prompted yet. I messed with the maturation and breeding stuff in the sliders, is that what is wrong? If you see and comment on this it’s appreciated.

OMG does that actually work? Because it totally should! LOL. I do use bug-repellent when I tame bees though: th-cam.com/video/_33SK9s8WfQ/w-d-xo.html I also learned the hard way that if you dress up like a ninja in real life, it doesn't work against yellow jackets :(

Yeah, that's crazy isn't it? You can make a deinonychus farm really easily on Valguero and use them for mass producing extraordinary kibble. They actually didn't exist yet when I made this kibble guide though, so I'll have to make an updated video sometime.
Hi, @Ashley Owens, I'm sorry to say that it looks like Ark Switch isn't getting updates :( They originally planned to keep Ark Switch about 6 months behind new content on PC, but after so many people were so angry about the graphics being lower quality than expected on Switch, the Ark developers decided to basically stop updating it :( So sadly Ark Switch will probably always have the old Kibble system. If you have an XboxOne, PS4, or gaming PC, Ark is on sale right now for like $10 though and it comes with the new kibble system, and like 5 free new amazing maps too. I wish I had better news though.
I'm playing on switch. Tried your recipe, which is the same as found on the wiki, but it didn't work. From what I researched, people say that switch still has the old kibble system(?). So take dodo egg as example, the general recipe for basic egg on wiki is: 10 × Amarberry, 1 × Cooked Meat, 1 × Extra Small Egg, 5 × Fiber, 5 × Mejoberry, 10 × Tintoberry, 1 × Water But this doesn't work on switch, I actually needed to follow the recipe of Basic Kibble (Dodo Egg): 1 × Dodo Egg, 1 × Rockarrot, 1 × Cooked Meat, 2 × Mejoberry, 3 × Fiber, 1 × Water This sucks cuz it makes things much more complicated. And I am confused. On switch, does the taming follow the old system or the new system?
You Cheung make sure you don’t have any food that makes other things. Take out the food you don’t need, only put in the ingredients to make the kibble and possibly use spark powder so charcoal doesn’t make dye

Yeah they really do need it to be updated soon! They brought the Kibble rework to Ark on PC, PS4, and XboxOne first because those consoles have been around the longest, but as far as I know they plan to bring the new Ark kibble system to Ark Mobile and Ark Switch too :)

When you cant make kibble, and you put in the right ingredients, replace the kookingpot.
When the kookingpot is older than the update it wont work.

I put the right ingredients in for the basic kibble and it keeps making orange dye
It might be charcoal that's throwing it off. Try using thatch as fuel or keep an eye on it and remove any charcoal that pops up :)

I haven't tried higher tier kibble on a lower tier dino since it's usually so much harder to make, but from what I hear, yes you can use the new kibbles on any dinosaurs below that tier. Let me know if you can confirm that too :)

Yeah some of the eggs are surprising which groups they are in. I'm just so glad you only need a few egg-laying dinosaurs for a kibble farm now :D

LOL We could always train them to be attack-birds like mine tried to do to a Carno at about 3:28 in this video: th-cam.com/video/GtMQO_LkAqY/w-d-xo.html But yeah... Dodos could definitely use a new TLC patch ;) I would say though that dodos are now even more helpful because they still produce eggs way faster than any other dinosaur, and their eggs are now useful for taming even more creatures than before. I love that you now really just need about 5 breeding pairs of dinosaurs to mass-produce any kibble. You just keep breeding those pairs, keep the females, and you are rolling in the eggs in no time :)
U know dodo lay a lot of eggs
Yeah dodos are an awesome chicken-alternative. You can eat pretty well and have lots of kibble mats if you tame up a bunch of dodos in your house. But it gets really noisy lol

Actually sometimes Ark changes the kibbles needed so it may be the lower level one now :) I made this Ark kibble guide like a year ago when they added the new kibble system. The higher level kibble will definitely work on both levels though. Let me know if you test it.

Hi Ethan, I'm afraid we still don't have news on the free DLC maps for Ark Switch. They originally planned to have ark Ragnarok and The Center for Ark Switch around February, but there's still no word on them. I'm encouraged that they just released the massive Ark Homestead Update though because this new Kibble System Rework and the S+ structures they added were a HUGE undertaking. I'm hoping that now that Ark Homestead is live, they will focus back on Ark Switch. I wish I had more news though!

Can you use crystallized sap instead of sap for these recipes?
One of the dinos I believe belongs to regular kibble listing instead of simple kibble. (Ichthyornis) tried simple kibble on low level and took ages to tame till I went for the next grade kibble (regular kibble)
None of my babies wanted anything for imprinting and I haven’t been prompted yet. I messed with the maturation and breeding stuff in the sliders, is that what is wrong? If you see and comment on this it’s appreciated.

Have you tried using your torch near a bee hive to smoke the bees to make them less aggressive?
OMG does that actually work? Because it totally should! LOL. I do use bug-repellent when I tame bees though: th-cam.com/video/_33SK9s8WfQ/w-d-xo.html I also learned the hard way that if you dress up like a ninja in real life, it doesn't work against yellow jackets :(

Isn't the deinonychus a special egg?
Yeah, that's crazy isn't it? You can make a deinonychus farm really easily on Valguero and use them for mass producing extraordinary kibble. They actually didn't exist yet when I made this kibble guide though, so I'll have to make an updated video sometime.

Hi, @Ashley Owens, I'm sorry to say that it looks like Ark Switch isn't getting updates :( They originally planned to keep Ark Switch about 6 months behind new content on PC, but after so many people were so angry about the graphics being lower quality than expected on Switch, the Ark developers decided to basically stop updating it :( So sadly Ark Switch will probably always have the old Kibble system. If you have an XboxOne, PS4, or gaming PC, Ark is on sale right now for like $10 though and it comes with the new kibble system, and like 5 free new amazing maps too. I wish I had better news though.

I'm playing on switch. Tried your recipe, which is the same as found on the wiki, but it didn't work. From what I researched, people say that switch still has the old kibble system(?). So take dodo egg as example, the general recipe for basic egg on wiki is:
10 × Amarberry, 1 × Cooked Meat, 1 × Extra Small Egg, 5 × Fiber, 5 × Mejoberry, 10 × Tintoberry, 1 × Water
But this doesn't work on switch, I actually needed to follow the recipe of Basic Kibble (Dodo Egg):
1 × Dodo Egg, 1 × Rockarrot, 1 × Cooked Meat, 2 × Mejoberry, 3 × Fiber, 1 × Water
This sucks cuz it makes things much more complicated. And I am confused. On switch, does the taming follow the old system or the new system?
I’m using all the right ingredients but when I light it, it starts cooking other things
You Cheung make sure you don’t have any food that makes other things. Take out the food you don’t need, only put in the ingredients to make the kibble and possibly use spark powder so charcoal doesn’t make dye

Ark Mobile doesn’t have the kibble rework, which I think they should do it, because you have only 40 tames
Yeah they really do need it to be updated soon! They brought the Kibble rework to Ark on PC, PS4, and XboxOne first because those consoles have been around the longest, but as far as I know they plan to bring the new Ark kibble system to Ark Mobile and Ark Switch too :)

@@MrAflac_1 Yeah I think that might be why Ark Mobile is so far behind is that there are really two companies involved in development. And Ark's original creators are pretty swamped with huge updates on their other systems. But here's hoping the new Ark Kibble system comes to Ark mobile soon! :)
