I started watching this video to distract myself from the feeling of beeing watched. So I was actually scared for a second, then laughed about myself and this coincidence. I was successfully distracted 😂 (Don't worry, this is normal for my neurodivergent brain. I'm seeing a therapist, a psychiatrist, have skills...and take my meds. I'm fine 🙂)
That reporter guy if I saw him in wilderness I would highly suspect he just got scared by a Bigfoot or some mysterious creature with his hair standing straight up. I would ask 1 time if he needed help but after that I be long gone. Nope I do not go in wilderness without myself very well legally well armed. I am not that stupid.
It already has. That's this guys job. You just know channels like there are only here to be the headshrinker dumb down for the next gen. Lovelock Cave.
As a former infantryman, there are a few things that stand out to me that make me believe this never happened. First being Mr. K's descriptions of the calibers of weapons used as .308 and .50 cal rifles. I have never hear someone say .308 who actually served in the military. Our ".308" weapons fire 7.62x51 rounds and everyone refers to them as 7.62s. The green berets I know carried the MK 11 chambered in 7.62, MK 13 chambered in 300 win mag or a Remington 700 also chambered in 7.62. The M107 is too unwieldy and too damn heavy to be any used in a dismounted patrol, especially when the other options are available and are far more accurate. Also, I never saw any patrol not have a light machine gun with them, ever in the three years I spent in Iraq and Afghanistan. A 240b would chew through any body, giant or otherwise. Second, the Air Force officer referring to the soldiers/marines as "army guys". While it is possible if the event took place in 2002 that some Army units and some Marine units were still wearing the same DCU uniform, the MCU was first used in 2002, to mistake the two services. However, since the pilot said 2005, the Army and Marine uniforms at this time looked nothing alike. Third, every single Army unit I have ever been apart of has a designated Quick Reaction Force (QRF) element. If a patrol gets into trouble or is lost, the QRF element, who are literally sitting waiting to respond to any situation, is sent immediately. The QRF element is almost always comprised of a platoon from the same unit the patrol is from. Never heard of the default QRF being GBs. So, either the pilot didn't know what aircraft he was flying or the "green beret" does't know basic army SOPs or what weapons the army uses or what would be the most effective in that patrol scenario. I will take things that never happened for 500
Good points. Could they have dumbed it down for viewers? I knew what you were talking about since I may have similar experiences as you, but your average idiot wouldn't

I am 61 years old. I put my tv on for some TH-cam before bed. Saw your new story was up and said to no one, “Yes! New Lore Lodge video!”. Loved the into by the way. Keep up the good work youngsters!! ❤❤
There was an interview of this operator on youtube back in 2010-12 , it has vanished since. I watched it several times, the operator's face wasn't shown but everything else about him, his demeanor, his voice, the expressions he used were very authentic and his retelling seemed very coherent and genuine. The story was very convincing. Btw it was a MARSOC team that encountered the giant
@vitigaymer1053 MARSOC didn't sprung out of nowhere in 2006. It was officially activated in 2006 and publically acknowledged but existed and was deployed prior to 2006.
@notundermywatch3163 no it wasn't. MARSOC did not deploy before 2006. They didn't exist before 2005. Marines did not have a Special Operations unit in 2001 to 2003
I dunno if I'm in a minority, and don't get me wrong I love the true crime stuff, but I clicked on this as soon as I saw it because this is the kind of content that got The Lore Lodge on my radar in the first place. 😎 I always love hearing about the Kandahar Giant and seeing how deep you guys can dig into cryptids and mythological creature sightings.
I would love to see more of this too. There are so many stories out there that are interesting and fun but definitely may be a case of "the story grew from realistic to supernatural over time" and it would be interesting to dig into that more with someone who knows how to find better information and ask the right questions. Good job, guys!
I really enjoy both kinds of content too, but I'm in the same boat - I started watching the Lore Lodge because I enjoyed the cryptid stuff but I've loved the true crime videos and the videos debunking their own theories from earlier on as well. We live in a good age.
“We were going to solve a mystery of a missing crew. When we got there, they were dead in bizarre circumstances. We were suddenly attacked by a being unlike we had ever seen. He seemed impervious to our weaponry. Some of us died and we escaped via helicopter.” I, too, have seen the film Predator.
I was a mechanic for 19th SF, Green Berets. They where deployed multiple times to Kandahar. They never mentioned this story. Also, where are all the other giant encounters? People have been crawling all over those mountains the last 20 years.
Based off the prescribed medication I’ve just taken, I’ll either enjoy the heck out of this episode or I’ll be watching it three times and still not remember it. Either way will work for the algorithm.
The whole story kinda reads like someone who wasn't really familiar with how the military and combat operations work would write a story about Afghanistan.
That's what i was thinking? Also who sends a special forces team to look for a random army patrol? You would send a whole company of regular soldiers instead of a small SF team. This while story is wild. I don't believe it's true but it's definitely interesting
@@samuelott3248The really interesting part is that there are allegedly reports that someone I wouldn't dare name for their own safety read that suggests a Green beret squad got into an engagement with something that someone thought was secret enough to wipe half the reports. Basically all that was ever confirmed was that they came into contact with someone, lost two guys, and the context put around the report made it seem like they were only engaged with one or two combatants. I always figured it was a sniper and they wiped the report because someone fucked up and named too many names or maybe it was a friendly fire incident that got doctored, but it's weird enough to take note of. Mind you, the location was also blanked out, so the only support for it being in Afghanistan was that it was written in 2011.
Yeah... as much as I love me some MrBallen stories, I'm not sure the guy is much of a "compass" in terms of what should be considered believable or realistic and what shouldn't... Still, Aidan dug up some details I haven't heard before so no complaints from me.
If the Afghanistan papers taught us anything it was a select group of middle management knew the whole of what was going on and kept tight lipped pretty well

If you tell me some soldiers (with names) saw something weird in Afghanistan -- "we were on patrol, I saw something on this ridge, and I know it sounds crazy but I swear it looked like a giant" -- sure, fine, I'll bite. If you're telling me American troops had a gun-vs-spear fight with a giant in a bone-strewn cave that ended with dead American soldiers and a dead giant with six fingers getting stashed in the same government warehouse where they keep the Ark of the Covenant... I know a Air Force crew guy who was working in kandahar int airport in the 02 03 time frame who said a large dead body smelling lump was loaded on a 20 ft aluminum pallet on a c130 and the story was it was a giant shot by green barets this was long before i ever heard anything online idk 🤷♂️ if its the giant but ....
Me calling my older brother who was in Afghanistan at that time: Where's the giant? Don't lie now, I heard it through TH-cam. Edit: It's a joke. Don't take this seriously.
You guys should cover that Russian fallen angel statue they found in that cave it's creepy and the lore behind that goes crazy. When I saw the statue I was instantly unsettled but enamored.

The Lodge is really good at dismissing "the weeds" from a distance, without entering them. Mildly frustrating sometimes considering the up-front acknowledgement of "lore" but plenty creators stay in those weeds and that can be even more frustrating. Aidan's perspective and personality makes exploration of these kinds of topics more comprehensive without boring his viewers or compromising subject matter. Much appreciated, stay true to the Lore Lodge attitude. I absolutely love what this channel gives us! ❤
I served from 2002 to the end of 2004. I was injured and medically discharged. Crap happens. Now to my point. I heard this story while stationed at NAS Oceana Virginia Beach Virginia. it was sometime in 2003 if my memory is correct so for what its worth this lines up with the 2002 date because when I was told this the person was telling the story and the way he told it made it seem like a recent event.
While I didn't hear the story until around 2008? give or take, I vividly recall being told this happened like RIGHT after 9/11 like a year or two so I definitely believe your timeline.
@taleandclawrock2606 no I don't think he saw it but heard it from his buddy station out in that area. I'll admit It inspired a D&D bose fight in one of our games.
I have a friend from Afghanistan, living in the border between India and Afghanistan, an area called Baltistan. He's a mountaineer and guide, and very nonchalantly told me he'd acountered giants in the mountains himself. I didn't ask for proof or pictures, though
Oh I remember back in the 90s, my great aunt who helped raise me would let me sleep with her and we'd fall asleep to Coast To Coast with Art Bell. Kind of like how I listen to you and Sasquanch Chronicles now. RIP to Aunt Katie & Art ❤
Least the way I've heard this told you guys missed a piece. The giant was initially encountered by a group who were killed by said giant, the group who killed it had been sent as a sort of "backup" due to the first crew going radio silent. Wartime stories covered this within the last year actually which is the only reason I know about any of it. Also they have some pretty in depth research into the matter too
@kayty6673 sorry wording isnt great here. Don't mean they missed it like it was never brought up, I mean from the way I've heard the tale its part of the first tale
The intro was so funny, but I usually listen to these videos to fall asleep. I’m going to have to remember that this one is off limits for this purpose
I can tell you from being in Afghanistan as a Private Security Contractor there is a lot more to this story than is curently available to the public. It had nothing to do with any contingent of the Marines nor was it anywhere near Kandahar and it happened more than once.
I heard there were two similar incidents around the same time period at two different caves. I knew a guy who claimed to have been at the event featured in this video, but when I knew details, he panicked, so I believe he coopted the story for himself. But, he confirmed the details I gave and answered some questions, suggesting he had heard the story in theater. He was unaware that the story had been leaked and didn't know Quayle had gone on Coast to Coast.
The Art Bell episode with the guy claiming to be flying his home made aircraft over Area 51 is the greatest thing ever recorded. I like to think that guy is dodging Earth based laser weapons somewhere in heaven right now.
The claim that whatever they encountered was impervious to .50cal fire leads me to think that this is a tall tale. I've shot a lot of things with .50cal, and the only thing that stops it is heavy armor; the kind you only find on track vehicles. Then, in a combat theater like Afghanistan, they most definitely have armored piercing incendiary rounds mixed in their ammo belts. I was a heavy machine gunner early on in the war, and that's how I rolled. If you need a more solid picture, google the ballistics on the BMG .50cal. The amount of energy it puts on target is staggering.
Yeah I was really curious about that. I didn't serve and I've never shot a gun but I'm a nerd for physics and you have to wonder how much even something like a giant would be impervious to some of the weapons and ammo you guys were using. I'm guessing it wouldn't tickle even if you are twelve foot
yeah, you can literally see (in BG) explosions occur from the temporary wound cavity collapsing back in on itself. I even vaguely remember once or twice seeing a clip where there were *_several_* explosions. Kinda like skipping a rock on a pond... except your torso is the pond... and the rock is a .50BMG... and the "skipping" is an explosion... But yeah, if you hit something in the head with a .50, you won't get a second shot on it, because what you were aiming at *_had_* a head.
24:54 always happy to see the message translation catch as many strays as possible, and I expect to see more message translation slander once you guys post your once a year episode of the bi-weekly weird Bible podcast
There are lots of recorded modern and historic pygmy peoples and species. Homo floresiensis is probably the most well researched but there was also a new one discovered in the phillipines less than a decade ago.
Unrelated to anything, you should try the lore lodge coffee if you're curious, it's seriously some of the best coffee I've had; Aidan isn't just talking the talk as the person who made it. I was very impressed!
Ngl, i've been on the fence about trying it. I've been stung before by a TH-camr I trusted raving about the best coffee they've ever had, so i went out and tried it. I'm not sure if that perticular youtuber just has a penchant for watered down nutty tar, or if he just outright lied to his audience, but it was, without doubt, the most disgusting liquid i have ever tasted. And i used to enjoy a home brewed tea made from 'wild' mushrooms i would collect. It also tastes like blue pond scum, but at least that has a payoff. As a customer leaving an honest review, from what i can tell anyway 😂, I think you may have convinced me to venture to try coffee touted by a trustworthy TH-camr again. If it's gross, I will be back. And i will be scathing.
Thank you for this video! Mr Ballens video on this topic is one of my favorites of his. I havent been able to find a good video (that goes into technical details and more sources)on this topic. Mr. Ballens is great, but he's more of a storyteller, and didn't get into too many specifics! Keep up the good work! Love your videos!

I asked a good friend who serve 20 years in the Air Force retired as a master sergeant was a U2 and a drone and satellite image specialist, what was the strangest thing he has seen and his response out of the blue unprovoked by me was he watched a giant in Afghanistan building a wall for over 8 to 10 hours through the thermal vision it was either a drone or a satellite not sure ,he said he could not explain it but watched it for hours so he is not the type to make up stories so I believe him 100 %
So, just a quick correction. While yes, the C-130 is a prop plane. It's a turbo prop. Meaning, just because it's a prop plane doesn't mean it doesn't have jet engines. Turboprops use the engines power to turn the propeller to produce thrust. While Turbofan engines use large fan blades to create thrust as seen on passenger airlines, etc. So, the pilot was correct when referring to the C-130 as a jet aircraft.
Yep, and they certainly didn't fly direct from Afghan to the US, they all went via European air bases - I got to watch a bunch of them coming in and out of my local RAF base on their way through. You'd think that would be the kind of thing that would be looked into, instead of just hand waving it.
More likely he meant that the Object was transferred from a Chinook helo to a C-130 in Afghanistan, then to a C-17/C-5 (turbofan) in Europe in order to get it home. That would be the normal "tactical-to-theatre-to-strategic" chain of transport.
@MrHws5mp I understand what you are saying. But when he quoted the pilot that was interviewed. He implicitly questioned what the pilot meant when he said they transferred the giant corpse from the C-130 to a faster jet. And also did so in the video with the picture of a C-130 with its four propellers circled in red with the caption "JET?" He was clearly insinuating that the C-130 wasn't a jet due to its propeller engines. It was a mistake for him to do so. Since we know that the turboprop engines of the C-130 are jet engines.
My battalion, the 27th Airborne Engineer Battalion, of the 20th Engineer Brigade (Airborne) deployed to Afghanistan from 2010 to 2011. We were airborne combat engineers tasked with a route clearance mission. We lost 6 KIA in my company, 618th ENCO (The Nasty). I can't remember the exact total of KIA in the battalion as a whole, but it was over 10. I was with my unit from 2008 to 2011 until I PCS'ed from Ft. Bragg to Ft. Leonard Wood until I had to be medically retired in 2013.
Remember in the old westerns when cowboys would come across tribes and would hold up their hand and say "how"? Apparently, everyone had to hold up a hand so they could see how many fingers the hand had on it. They said to never trust the 6 fingered hand people.
@@laurfincher8137 "how" is actually "a'ho" and is at this point a coequal word amongst all native groups to mean "hello" or "no trouble" in more literal translation. IIRC its borrowed from the Crow? I don't entirely remember.
When I was a kid, before the internet was invented, I remember watching some Chinook Helicopters that landed at our local airport and my dad referred to them as "Jolly Green Giants". It may not be an official name for a specific helicopter but this was in the early 90's.
He also said "faster jet" which could easily just mean a jet that was chosen because it was faster than the C130. See: the C5 Galaxy, which the Air Force loves to use for moving huge cargo (or lots of smaller cargo) long distances.
Esoterica, as a channel is an incredibly fantastic source when it comes to, well, the esoteric. Dr. Sledge is a fantastic teacher who’s very within his wheel house when talking about the subject. He has a few different videos that discuss Jewish mysticism, nephilim and the Bible.
Yeah, after listening to Esoterica channel i probably had too high expectations from Aidan, just to be hit with "well, nephilim were mentioned this one time in the Bible". Nephilim actually make a lot of sense (in a narrative way) when you consider Yahweh as a just another cult in the region, that was competing with other gods. But i guess going that far with bible analysis would be "too heretical" for Aidan. I also find the claim, that "sons of god" or "angels" would be understandable for mesopotamians, as a vague term for supernatural beings, but that the idea would be lost on greeks and europeans, very dubious. European cultures had the fae, fairies. Granted, they're no longer "sons of gods", but describe the "supernatural beings" and there were stories of people being born from mating with fae/faries that were supernatural. Greeks had a whole trope of Zeus turning into x, mating with an earthly woman, and the result offspring being a demi-god (like Hercules)
That’s exactly what I said. I think it’s possible someone got to him after his first appearance on coast to coast and either threatened or bribed him to feed disinformation into something he started. And that Mr. K and the helicopter pilot were telling the truth. The same thing happened to guy from the Patterson-Gimlin film who said he was in a suit 40+ years later.
I've been hearing about this for years. Very curious to see if Aiden Squared can finally pinpoint where this legend came from and how it got into the hands of giant-believin' young earth creationists.
if you are old enough, this does go back to message boards and forums contemporary to shortly after the first bit of the war there.... take with grain of salt
Not saying it's true by any stretch of the imagination, however my brother, who was in the military at the time (not the US military) said he heard rumblings about the giant of Kandahar.
Wait, you're saying it's just an internet hoax? Idunbelievit! Next thing you're telling me camel spiders arent half a meter long and don't chew your entire leg off in the night!
I served a mission for my Christian church, and pretty much any time someone started talking about the Nephilim, I knew the conversation wasn't going to go anywhere other than Christian flavored conspiracy theories. 😂 This is the first time I've actually heard scholarly research about them. Thanks as always!
Finally someone who took an eye of that story into details. With such level if contradicted details we may conclude that Kandahar giant is debunked. Well done.
It's definitely one of those moments in the Bible - and there's quite a few of them - where it expects the reader to already know what it's referring to. Also, Hebrew being a Desert Language compounds things a little. The very small mention of them in context is almost certainly referring to a left-unsaid era that happened before the Flood that had set the stage.
It's not really "left unsaid", if you consider apocrypha and texts, that weren't included into the bible (some completely lost to the time, like the dead sea scrolls were) and existed in parallel to the gospel
So quick idea for the fact there are two stories, what if there were two events? 1 in 2002 and 2005 both with separate teams and separate helicopters? given these giants seem to be primitive makes sense they would be both in caves, and have spears. The one story also said they had asked and found there was more than one of these creatures according to locals. So two wielding spears doesn't seem too far fetched. Just some food for thought!
Hey some feedback here boy I'm super impressed with your presentation. The content is interesting but boy you really have a knack for communication and I think this is your calling. Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication
Just a point from an aviation buff: the point about loading the "giant" onto a faster "jet" isn't neccessarily an anomaly. The usual train of transport from a battlefield to the USA would be tactical-theatre-strategic. For a job like this (heavy unitary payload), those three roles would be normally be done by: Tactical: CH-47 Chinook or CH-53 Sea Stallion ("Jolly Green Giant") helicopter (battlezone to nearest base). Theatre: C-130 Hercules quad turboprop (nearest base to biggest base in range, possibly in Europe), Strategic: C-17 Globemaster or C-5 Galaxy quad jet (biggest base in theatre to USA). Also, it isn't unheard of for an Army helicopter to attend a Marine call out and vice-versa. Although the inter-service rivalry is real, it doesn't apply when a job needs doing, and the two services often support each other, especially when they're doing overlapping roles (like SF ops in Afghanistan). The CH-53 has a higher payload weight than the CH-47 but the latter has a bigger cabin, so for payloads at the limit of weight or space, it might be a case of using whatever machine could do the job, rather than being a purist about who flew it. It wasn't clear from the video whether Quayle's pilot witness was flying the helicopter that first recovered the giant or the C-130 that moved it on. If he was Air Force, then it's likely he was the latter, since CH-47s are mostly flown by the Army and CH-53s by the Marines, although the Air Force do have some of the latter for CSAR (rescuing downed pilots). If he was Air Force and flying the C-130, then his entire account is second hand and may contain errors, misunderstandings and assumptions. For instance, if it was an Army guy who told him that the giant was initially recovered by helicopter, he may have _assumed_ it was a CH-47 because he was talking to an Army guy, when in fact the Army guy was just a "minder" and the recovery may have been done by Marines with a CH-53.
FYI: The Nephilim were the source of the Fae according to Gaelic and Irish lore. Not all Nephilim were giants, some were best described as Elves, dwarfs, goblins, leprchauns. And a large number escaped to Ireland and other Northern Isles. And also to other remote places in the Southern Hemisphere. Sources: "Old Irish Myths- various authors"
Archaic hominids claiming to be gods and holy people raping modern humans and corrupting humanity. There were and are different types of archaic hominids like large hairy ape like types "Sasquatch" as well as smaller ones similar to what we call Neanderthal which is the "Serpent Seed Race" and they were also the serpent in the Garden. The Garden refers to Earth. These "Neanderthal" types are mammals with scale like skin, may have sharp teeth and slit pupils. The are consciously basal ganglia based. In ancient times the offspring of them are called the Nephilim which were the Tribe of Naphtali not true Israelites. The interbreeding of Sasquatch types with humans produced more human looking offspring with large size and therefore the Giants. These two archaic hominid groups worked together and preyed on humanity. The Neanderthal type claim to be gods, angels, and holy people. They are Satan. They are jealous and spiteful towards humanity and want to dominate, enslave, and corrupt humanity.
I thought it was interesting. I heard the story a few years ago and wondered about the possibilities. Didn't know there were 2 versions of the story, I only heard the chinook version. Keep up the good work guys!
I grew up in a Christian household, went to church every Sunday, attended two different Christian schools, and never once heard a word about the Nephilim until I was doing my own research in my 20s. Cherry-picking the Bible at its finest.
That's the biggest reason I'm not a Christian. As part of my homeschooling I was forced to study the Bible. The average self-proclaimed "Christian" doesn't have the slightest idea what their Bible actually says. If they did, I'd wager more of them wouldn't call themselves Christians.
I came up in a Christian family too. NOTHING was explained about the Nephilim!!! It would have made So Much of the Bible make more sense. So many Christian’s have No Idea! Now that I know, it’s so much more understandable!
Why? Being christian really would boil down to "do you know the bible and it's moral code"? Today in societies built on christian values, we take the 10 commandments as something granted (and also something that is progressively eroding away, as people become secular and atheist), but back in the day it would make sense to associate with Christians and try to be seen as a christian, so the others would know you know their moral code. "Knowing" about the Bible doesn't really mean much, just like nowadays atheist who knows about the Bible doesn't mean they _believe_ in the 10 commandments, so it makes sense to have people "swear by it", believe in those words. And the word - logos, is one of the titles of the Christ.
@ Assuming this is directed at me, I stand by my comment. Refusing to address certain aspects of the Bible because they’re seemingly unexplainable or too “out there” or simply something you don’t want to deal with (often while screaming about one or two lines) is the very definition of cherry picking.
That’s crazy cause I have the same background and learned about the nephilim in elementary school (it was briefly explained they were giants and Goliath was one of them then it was given more background in highschool)
Could they possibly be unintentionally (or even intentionally) merging 2 separate encounters/incidents, that took place at 2 different times, together?
Glad you brought it back to some not so morbidness, don't get me wrong, I find the recent stuff very informative and important to have voiced out to the public, I'm just saying it's kinda nice to have a break with some, ohhh idk, more "Fun" shhhtuff I suppose ? lol I digress, anyways... have a wonderful day yo ! :) @The Lore Lodge
I think Afghanistan has been full of all sorts of very high strangeness since at least the time of Alexander. The "GIANTS" meme will never get old. Great video!
It already has. That's this guys job. You just know channels like there are only here to be the headshrinker dumb down for the next gen. Lovelock Cave.
Also people not knowing what meme means will never get old.
@ I don't know if you are talking about me, but I know what a meme is.
I will take things that never happened for 500
I 100% agree

There was an interview of this operator on youtube back in 2010-12 , it has vanished since. I watched it several times, the operator's face wasn't shown but everything else about him, his demeanor, his voice, the expressions he used were very authentic and his retelling seemed very coherent and genuine. The story was very convincing. Btw it was a MARSOC team that encountered the giant

Yes, and not only that. Tolkien elves, dwarves, orcs, etc are also nephilim. There were 3 kinds; the titans, the nephal, and the elioud.

So he was just a massive nerd, pulling an "uhm akshully"?
@lolbuster01 I am not sure what you mean, lol.
Saw the basic run through of this story on Wartime Stories channel. Curious to get more details from Aiden

Glad I didn't listen when I was trying to sleep. Definitely want more of this kind of content please
Man that intro was great. Always enjoy these Aiden. Both of you.
Turboprops are turbine driven propellers, they are a type of jet engine
He also said "faster jet" which could easily just mean a jet that was chosen because it was faster than the C130. See: the C5 Galaxy, which the Air Force loves to use for moving huge cargo (or lots of smaller cargo) long distances.
Esoterica, as a channel is an incredibly fantastic source when it comes to, well, the esoteric. Dr. Sledge is a fantastic teacher who’s very within his wheel house when talking about the subject. He has a few different videos that discuss Jewish mysticism, nephilim and the Bible.
I totally agree with you. I love his channel. Talk about deep dives and great research.
Does Dr. Sledge teach that Nephilim were very, very tall and lived post-flood?
I swear this Qualye guy is a glowing plant. There specifically to make people with conspiracies look insane.
they do that to themselves tbh
That’s exactly what I said. I think it’s possible someone got to him after his first appearance on coast to coast and either threatened or bribed him to feed disinformation into something he started. And that Mr. K and the helicopter pilot were telling the truth. The same thing happened to guy from the Patterson-Gimlin film who said he was in a suit 40+ years later.
You don’t need a plant to do that.

Great vid. Myths from Desert People In Sandals always fascinate me.
the giant of Kandahar is not the only giant of the modern middle east. you should look into the other reports because there are thermal video records
I've been hearing about this for years. Very curious to see if Aiden Squared can finally pinpoint where this legend came from and how it got into the hands of giant-believin' young earth creationists.
I'm a young earth Creationist. Not sure if giants are still around, though.
if you are old enough, this does go back to message boards and forums contemporary to shortly after the first bit of the war there.... take with grain of salt
This story was indeed a 4chan shitpost at one point. Showing your age friend 😋
@@KaeYoss now you're going too far.
I've known about the story for many many years and I'm glad I even you are covering it. I'm definitely enjoying the channel!
Trey the Explainer has an excellent video on the Nephilim and the etymology of the word. The man really does his research.
Except Christianity. Dude has a poor understanding of it.
I served a mission for my Christian church, and pretty much any time someone started talking about the Nephilim, I knew the conversation wasn't going to go anywhere other than Christian flavored conspiracy theories. 😂 This is the first time I've actually heard scholarly research about them. Thanks as always!

You guys time traveling from the 1990s when this was cool?
You’re gonna wanna take a seat for this news
True
25:03 Love that you took time to dunk on the Message!
Finally someone who took an eye of that story into details. With such level if contradicted details we may conclude that Kandahar giant is debunked. Well done.
The Book doesn't elaborate because the Nephilim were from an older mythology that the then-present generation was familiar with.
@@sohlasattelite The apocrypha and gnostic texts tend to be left out because of specific reasons, which a bunch of involve dubious origin and such.
I knew it was coming, but Wendi still jump scared me a bit 😅
So quick idea for the fact there are two stories, what if there were two events? 1 in 2002 and 2005 both with separate teams and separate helicopters? given these giants seem to be primitive makes sense they would be both in caves, and have spears. The one story also said they had asked and found there was more than one of these creatures according to locals. So two wielding spears doesn't seem too far fetched. Just some food for thought!
The cold opening with Isaiah is pure gold!
For a job like this (heavy unitary payload), those three roles would be normally be done by:
Tactical: CH-47 Chinook or CH-53 Sea Stallion ("Jolly Green Giant") helicopter (battlezone to nearest base).
Theatre: C-130 Hercules quad turboprop (nearest base to biggest base in range, possibly in Europe),
Strategic: C-17 Globemaster or C-5 Galaxy quad jet (biggest base in theatre to USA).
Let's not forget that MI-8s were used as well. We had a hook recovered by one. They balled it up hot dogging along a river.
Would absolutely love to see a video about the Nephilim.
They've done like 5. search around the playlists.
A good retelling of a story, that i fell really took place, many many years ago. Keeping a good story alive..
It's a good story, but that's just it, a Story. Very cool 😎 Thanks. Scott Carpenter RIP, had some good thoughts on Nephilim.

I think Afghanistan has been full of all sorts of very high strangeness since at least the time of Alexander.
I think my favorite account was when a Ranger scout team helped out a tribe of Squatches from an attack by dogmen-like critters. Seems to be LOTS of bigfoot/dogman sightings in those mountains.
What is a squatche?
