Greedfall is an action role-playing game developed by Spiders and published by Focus Home Interactive. The game is set in 17th century-styled fantasy setting. Released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 10, 2019.
Plot
An island paradise has been discovered by colonial forces from several distinct nations from fictional lands, but with magic and monsters. You play as a neutral Human who recently arrived at the island, able to ally yourself with either the native Elves who inhabit the land, or any of the foreign nations competing to conquer and colonize the "new" land, while also trying to find a cure to a mysterious illness that plagues you and those close to you.
Gameplay
The player, alongside other settlers, mercenaries, and treasure hunters, explore a remote island where the locals, who are fighting off invading settlers, are protected by supernatural beings. The game includes combat, diplomacy, and stealth. The player's decisions influence and affect the game's story, as well as the relationship between the different factions established on the island. For anyone wondering how to make your stacks bigger all you have to do is keep taking all but 2 (can do 1, but 2 makes it easier if you mess up) back into your inventory. So if you have a stack of say 50 of two items your duping, take 48 of one stack and dupe the remaining 2 to make another stack of 50. Now one stack is 98 because of the 48 you kept in your inventory plus the duped new 50. Go back and forth to make stacks in the millions. Takes all of 10 minutes to make millions of gold.
I was about to say the same thing. I made that similar discovery, in addition to realizing the number must be larger than the item you're duplicating: If you have 25 of an item and are trying to duplicate another item of the same amount, obviously the game is going to take out just that amount of the item. But if you have one or two, yeah, it's easy to build those stacks

I agree with both statements sounds complicated but isn't.
For anyone having trouble, you duplicate the NUMBER of the item you want to the other. He had 400+ hawthorne and when he L1+X to the item that he has 2 of, the message pops up and asks how many Hawethorne he wants to move (400+) when he accepts, the game send 400+ of THAT item that you had 2 of to the inventory.

Duped "Piece of Pearl from a Prince of the Seas" (boss vendor item). Sold 807 for 121k (150 coins each). Only 80lbs to carry.

I know this is an older game now, but with the Steam sale recently I thought I would add: If you are playing on PC, using KB/M, then PageUp (Left) and PageDown(Right) + E work for this also. Also if you do this at a travel camp, your chest and a merchant are real close together.

July 2022 still works. I see people trying to explain it, but because of bad grammar or poor written communication skills, they're making it more confusing. I'll try to simplify it for anyone who's struggling.
When you push L1+X or LB+A, the item to the left is what will be sent to the chest and duplicated. If you push R1+X or RB×A, whatever item is on the right is what will be duplicated. For instance, if you select 200 leather and then hit L1+X, 200 of whatever is on the left will go to the stash. Just make sure it says leather is going to the stash, but the background shows whatever item is to the left.
Turns out you can do it without having to completely empty your chest. You only need to have the two categories used for the glitch empty. Then just do what the video says and it still works without having to overfill my inventory by emptying my chest. Thanks for the video man. Keep up the good work.
I duplicated the bone fragments from the Nádaigs since they sold for 150 each. Figured that would rack up quickly and I was right

Hey I was able to duplicate legendary armor and weapons but i dont know how i did it it happened when Constantine got sick and my companions switched equipment

Yes and you can duplicate armor and weapons using this method too. they just have to be unequipped.

Not true, I just did it at several different chests. Only works if you have more than 1 of the item you want to duplicate.
Bro, so I have 783 dragonblood essence and I used your method to dupe a trophy from a guardian that I slayed. They’re worth 150 gold a piece.. made over a 100k in 3 seconds. 👍🏼
I got this game for the PS5 and did not play it for months. I finally started last week. Thought it was boring then all of a sudden the game is AWSSOME!!! it is slow at first but man does it get great!

You can also duplicate weapon by putting the most item in the far right section then R1+X (I'm using ps4), for armor, put the most number in ammo/consumable then L1+X what armor you want to sell...
I have already sell more than 100 legendary items...
Edit... only hat and short range weapon though...
This duplication glitch ALSO works onweapons. The only kicker is you need a junk item. But by using this glitch it shouldn't be an issue to get alot of weapons duped.

Hello can someone please tell me if this is patched, and should i buy the disk instead of digital so i can do the best glitches before patches?
Its an exploitation of the games mechanics or enemy respawning so i dont think it will be patched. Hopefully someone can chime in as I havent played this in a while. See some comments that its still working as of a few weeks ago

Still works in Feb 21. Can do at any storage chest. Can do with any amount of stuff in the chest. It will only dupe the first item in the list. For weapons and armor, make sure you can only access the 1 item you want the dupe in the chest. Or you will end up only duping the first item on the list.

How do you get actually get more though? Like say the largest portion of something you have is 32, how do you duplicate it to get more as you did with the rubies?
Just run around the world looting monsters and plants until you get a decent quantity of something.

WhatsMyGame, dude this most likely is GreedFall's hugest useful exploit. Really worked like a charm to profit big. Appreciate your video, so keep it up with other glitches.
P.S.
Just for anybody else looking to quickly rank up, you can boost with his method duping "Alchemical Mix Of Magic Damage" particularly. Head down in New Sérène's Guard Tavern (beginning of Coin Arena) planting traps for every round/wave. Once you've gathered enough points, unlock "Vial Throw" skill and begin lobbing enormous hail marys of countless grenades.
Edit: The max level is 45-46 for all 3 different categories when you stop receiving points.

hey new to the game . So i can;t find the post with teaser. So how do you four companions
I know this video is old and a lot of ppl likely moved on from this game by now, I been trying to figure out how to copy weapons and unique armor, I got the glitch down for the herbs category, BUT something crazy happened! I got the ceremonial armor of saint Matheus and the antique cardinals helmet and put it on Kurt as soon as I was able, and I believe it happened during or after treason finished after saving the town and a second set of all these items were copied into my inventory! I have no idea how it triggered this glitch, but now Kurt and petrus are both wearing this set!
So if anyone's played Fable 1 it's the same glitch to get more items if your having trouble understanding.

do this with hoof fungus and crude iron ore, then craft ammo if you have science 2.sav 2 of crude iron and hoof fungus and create more ammo repeat and then duplicate balance potions or something else of high value and sell it for like 100000
