I think what I am doing is taking a key a month and learning songs on that key. I know how to play on A Flat, A, B Flat, C, C #. This month I am learning D. I haven't been consistent in practicing but I will work on that.
I think D is getting easier however I think I will actually be practicing the key at home since I know how to play on 5 keys already. I will be learning songs on the key of D though for personal practice.

Stuck in the world of C. Mhen I felt that word so deeply. I have known how to play the piano for years, learnt playing on C till when I became intermediate. But there was a time during I was trying to play on all the keys and suddenly I was stricken with some way to apply some triads and chords ,and the thing like I unlocked a door i didn’t know how I got the key to opening it. But it was sudden and i didn’t understood what that means cause I was still little then so i came out of that door instantly and i didn’t know how I entered that room at that sudden point,I didn’t even knew it was the door of playing on all the keys I unlocked at that sec. Which I had the holyspirit then He would have helped me
WOW WOW WOW. I needed this as others have commented as well. I've played for 40 years learning on my own and only comfortable in C, D, G, F and can get around fairly descent on those keys, but only can learn songs in other keys strictly how they are written and stay in that lane and can't be creative. I'm starting this 12 week process and see how this goes. THANK YOU!

May the lord bless you sir. You are great inspiration to me. May the lord reward. Please continue with this good work of posting this videos. I'm a 17 year old bassist though who is still learning, but I have basic knowlege about the Piano. God bless you.
To be honest i have been watching you for a while and have been really inspired, i have been producing music for 5yrs and i dont play on all 12 keys , thank you.
Funnily enough, I’ve just started this journey this week. I’ve been playing keys for a while and now I want to advance to the next level. Thanks so much for the video
Been thinking of what day to start learning how to play on other keys before I even came across this, but, this video actually encourages me to start NOW.......!!!😩
You 100% described a situation I was in a few weeks ago playing aux keys in my first arena. No confidence because of having to transpose.😭 I am going to do this in the next 12 weeks, starting today!
Learning all key is good and perfect, as a keyboardist u need to learn all keys.... On the other hand, transposing isn't wrong when use in the right way professional keyboardist do transpose... After scoring a song and the singer ask u to reduce the key if the new key is not convince u can transpose......
If you score a song well and you understand what was done in the song properly and you can play on all keys, it doesn’t matter the original key of the song, you should still be able to attempt it on the new key! But I understand what you mean though
I totally understand what you're talking about regarding the Tungba events, i still go to tungba today thou guess what key our Keyboardist plays on................................... you guessed right! Key F. I play drums for my band and i also play the Piano but i don't transpose anymore...
Thank you sir for this video Sir can you talk about finding key, relative pitch and learning of solfas how do you become better at this and effective ways to learn them
Thank you Moses. God just used you to confirm what's been on my mind this couple of days :pray. I'll commit to this. Regarding sweating, omo iya it's for real for real oo, armpits, and even sweat on the piano bench self 😅.
"You're freaking out out. your arm pits a sweating, hands are sweating. They ask you if you're ok 🤣🤣🤣" That's good enough reason to give up transposing lol.
Remember years ago I use to only play in C so I would take my keyboard everywhere because of that one day the choir was invited to proform at an event so because we practice the song in C I didn’t take my keyboard it was our turn to go on stage I play the intro in C the choir started to sing I know they were off they were in C sharp 😢 the keyboard at the venue couldn’t transpose as soon as the choir finished singing I held my head down look at no one and leave very fast 😅
Or to improvise, invest in complex arrangers or workstations such as the Montage 8 Series. Pros: It has the ability to save different key tunings and arrangements to different scenes. Sort the scenes to your preference. Use a pedal to traverse from one scene to another. Cons: You'd have to always move around with your workstation everywhere. Bottomline: With technology, there's at least a solution to anything for everyone.
Well listening to you I was hoping you would recommend and put more emphasis on practicing the scales and arpeggios, taking piano sight reading exercises, and most importantly taking classical piano lessons. All these will enable you to develop a proper finger technique and the ability to sightread and play anything. Otherwise you'll still have lots limitations in the long-term. Thank you.
I play in all keys but I still do transpose, playing on a damaged piano for example or rehearsing in a key and on the dday key gets changed for some reason
Thank you very much for this video. I'll begin my journey to all keys today. Please I really need your help, I started playing the keyboard 12yrs ago. I never had anyone who taught me, I just learnt by myself as time goes on. Today I'm quite good with the key C, but you see that flow from your hands as you run the apergios, how do I get to that level 😢? I want to start learning from your channel, please where and how do I begin? Thank you very much
